  1. Ooh, can I contribute? I'm as bog-standard as "British" or "English" gets, but I couldn't give a monkeys about my nationality. I think obsessing over nationality is for losers (or worse). I don't care in the slightest if other people living in this country identify as "British". I love spending time amongst those from other backgrounds - including the areas causing so much concern to wrong 'uns here and abroad. I don't feel the need to defend some utterly imaginary and time-bound "British culture". I understand that we are absolute pin-pricks in history - complete nonentities. Am I over privileged due to my background? For the folks repeatedly posting about Muslim countrymen in just-about-veiled terms, what are you all *really* worried about? I'll stop there.
  2. "Enough"... Have you noticed that nothing has happened yet?
  3. While I don't like the word, I do kind of understand the sentiment. Labour need to step up and confront the scumbags sewing division in our country
  4. Wow. You'd excuse *anything*! Could anything *ever* be too much for you?
  5. I'm going to guess that it won't kick off as badly as (for example) the pond life at "asylum hotels" last year. No evidence in the slightest to suggest otherwise. What leads *you* to show this concern?
  6. As good a replacement for KDH as we'd ever find, particularly in our current state. Shame it's a season too late, but better late than never!
  7. Who?
  8. Seems like Tony Blair's son isn't going to develop ID cards after all https://fullfact.org/technology/digital-id-euan-blair/
  9. Few expected relegation. Most knew that promotion would be challenging, particularly given threat of points deduction. As ever, ignore the most positive and negative viewpoints
  10. Why assume Marti was referring to them?
  11. danny. seems to wish this to be so. As ever, time will tell. I'd only reflect that we are a very long way from an election, and nobody has engaged with what a Reform government would really mean for us
  12. Of course no evidence, but I'm interested where the OP heard about this from. Seems quite... niche Used to be simpler when MattP lifted opinions straight from "Guido Fawkes"
  13. Deeply distrustful of any 'source' who feels the need to reference someone's religion in an unrelated topic. Smells like a wrong 'un to me, so I'll ignore
  14. Let's see another point at least
  15. He wanted the ground to swallow him up, poor chap
  16. Very good
  17. Oh Bryson
  18. Rory
  19. Such a reliable striker of an iron. (Written by someone who is anything but!)
  20. Tommy's on a march
  21. .
  22. It's a tough listen, to hear so much vitriol and idiocy. They're out there, for sure.
  23. Been thinking about this. It's great to hear diverse views. But by posting controversial views into a public forum *where our only common factor is we all support the City* you're going to get more pushback than in a self-selected echo chamber like Twitter, Facebook etc. We hear a lot about the so-called "silent majority." Sometimes - not always - you may find the views of the *actual* majority are rather different to those shared in your social media stream or newspaper website. I guess it can be surprising.
  24. My sense is that if you even *saw* the stuff you shared, you're deep into a rabbit hole. Look, I know you don't want to hear my thoughts, so I'll leave it there
  25. With respect, this is top-tier bullsh1t written by a nonentity. Why would you listen to this? Why would you even *find* this cack to listen to? Not really picking on you... more a sad reflection on our world.
