Bit of good PR for Smith but I think they would've been well within their rights to stick with it. He was walking out his crease before the ball even returned to the keeper. Bet he wouldn't withdraw it against India -
Even if Enzo wanted to re-sign Vestergaard, he should've been overruled and the club should actively have found a younger replacement. But I suppose our finances put pay to that idea so instead we are going to waste money on him for the next few years. Contract renewal made no business sense.
-
One positive of him bein dragged down to everyone else's level is that we may get a season out of him in the championship, where he can hopefully thrive Then sell the following summer
-
He's not a kid, but I certainly do forget his age sometimes. He will have a decent career I think, probably in Europe but never seemed to have settled here and whilst he runs he doesn't look like he enjoys anything about being here.
-
Would help the defence though if we could keep the ball at the other end.
-
1 goal in 12 games is it? And he nearly ****ed that one up. He is vastly overpaid for what he offers now. I agree he's not helped by those around him but I don't think he does enough help them either and our reliance on him has effected our last 3 seasons at this level. He's also not a captain. Guy is a legend, no doubt about that but the club should've been braver years ago.

A season in the championship will be good for him but I imagine he'll want out.

It wouldn't have made a difference but not sure why he didn't bring Ayew on to go alongside Vardy. Not as a winger but as genuine support striker. -

He's a liar if Rudd doesn't regret even speaking to us. He's proven to be shit with what he's inherited but not strengthening in January, or even attempting too, is letting him down too. -

Mentality is huge in football, they just don't have any belief at all. -

Fair to say TNT aren't impressed -
Ad always there's plenty of excuses for Vardy and whilst it's not his fault he's not able to play like he used too, but we shouldn't be starting with him. But that's another question to ask Mr Rudkin.

I have sympathy in the sense that the squad is shite and that is not Ruuds fault. We are shit whatever side we put out. Club have failed as a whole, it's more than just Ruud. -
It was done at least 2 seasons ago. Occasional moments are still there but our failure to replace him successfully is part of our demise.

I don't care how shit he thinks Daka is, he has to start ahead of Vardy at the minute. Anything else is just showing that he isn't brave enough to upset Vardy. -

There's me thinking we turn up with a bit of desire tonight Not a single player giving their best effort. -

Back 4 isn't great but they are not helped by the absolute shite in front of them. No effort to keep the ball, no pressure, no making space. Vardy should not be the frontline striker, makes no effort to get involved or make runs anymore. -

Nothing happens and then goal. Standard. Terrible clearance from Buonnatte. And then just no real desire to defend from Vestergaard. No point Vardy playing in our own half. -
West Ham United away, AKA eat, sleep, Decordova-Reid repeat.

Not sure how a side can look a bowler and a batsmen short at the same time An in form Ben Stokes makes a huge difference to the balance of a side. Livingstone needs to be a more reliable batter if he's going to be the 5th bowling option. Harry Brook really disappointing for me, so much talent but he needs to careful that baz ball doesn't ruin his temperament and technique. People will pick on the batsmen, and maybe rightly so but they've put 2 good-ish scores on the board but bowlers haven't been able to restrict opposition to lower scores. I appreciate they maybe be batter friendly wickets but have to contain the run rate better. -
Didn't know which thread to put this in but has anyone used JustPark and parked in supermarket car parks? Just booked 3 nights in Morrisons Car park in York for £23. Was looking at triple that for all the other car parks I could see. Wanted to do train but as we come home on a Sunday, trains are ****ed and it's rail replacements. Obviously, normally supermarkets have 2 or 3 hour limits. Am I going to come back to a hefty ticket, or is it legit? Can cancel up to 24 hours before so thought I'd book it and then research the legitimacy afterwards. I know people who use these apps for football trips etc but paranoid with it being multi day stay. Any horror stories?

I don't remember the last time I've watched Chelsea and not been introduced to at least 1 player I've never heard of.

Not a lot of noise coming out Southampton when you consider how shit they've been. No real outrage from supporters, I guess when you're that shit it's just acceptance.
