Having listened to the whole podcast I can see why he didn't get it. Gives me bitter man at the pub vibes. Agreed with some of his opinions but also lots of contradictions in there. -
They doing their trophy parade today? I know they've got a game at the weekend but half the fans will surely not be home in time Given the partying you'd expect Villa to now finish 5th, meaning Bournemouth or Brighton get Champions League right? That pointless last minute goal from Haaland must be a sickener for Bournemouth now. I think if 6th does get Champions league, they need to go into the qualifiers and someone else promoted to the group stage.

I think Tuchel likes Gordon and to be fair he's the natural left footed left sided player I think. If one of Palmer or Foden don't go, it will probably be Gordon.
-
To be fair I didn't know he'd picked up an injury recently. He'd cover as a 5th centre back option too. Probably increases Alexander-Arnold chances of going but it will probably be Djed Spence

Decreasing the champions league teams from England will just make the English teams in the other 2 competitions even stronger

Hope Hull win the final now. Don't want to see Middlesbrough celebrating with straight faces when they lost the semis. Not saying Southampton don't deserve chucking out but Boro are lucky because I think it made very little difference.

Would've been a great goal, awful finish.
-
Top English sides are behind the best champions league sides but the next bracket of teams are so much better than those in the rest of Europe. England should dominate this and the conference league for years.
-
Frieburg defence has been awful but fair play to Villa for turning up. Dominant performance.
-
Villa a different level, weren't too threatening until the 2 goals but always felt they were better. Quality finishes but atrocious marking.

I know he was shit in the final season but still smile when Tielemans does something like that.

Thought I'd give naming a squad a go, this is what I came up with. Normally forget someone obvious so probably have again. Keepers Dean Henderson, Jordan Pickford, Nick Pope Right backs - Reece James, Ben White, Alexander-Arnold Left backs - Nico O'Reilly, Lewis Hall Centre backs - Marc Guehi, Ezri Konsa, Harry Maguire, John Stones Centre mid - Declan Rice, Elliot Anderson, Jude Bellingham Attacking mid: Bukayo Saka, Morgan Rogers, Cole Palmer, Phil Foden, Ebe Eze, Marcus rashford, Jarred Bowen Strikers: Harry kane, Ollie Watkins, Calvert-Lewin I'd be surprised if Trent is in there but I would, him, O'Reilly and James be an extra centre mid option if needed. Gibbs-White should probably go instead of either Palmer or Foden but I feel he's similar to Rogers and the other 2 might offer something different on the big stage. Bowen gets the nod as the hardworking wide option who could do a job both sides and even up front. Madueke probably the unlucky one to miss out. Calvert Lewin as a wildcard if you want someone to chuck on with a few minutes to go like we did with Toney at the euros. I'm sure Jordan Henderson will find his way in somewhere.

Worth a go from Hull I guess. Funny seeing all the self-interest statements and reports

I mean I would've turned it off anyway but I'm glad they are not at the Emirates and we have to listen to that stupid ****ing song at full blast. -

I think there is a reason why Pep is deciding to go now. He's probably the end of his 'style' and decided to let his mate be the one who struggles next season -

Not exactly desperate for it are they? I know it's not their style to panic but they look like they've just accepted it. -
I'm just picturing their managers face and it's making me smile If they have to rearrange the final, when? May be some players in world cup squads etc. Not to mention the pisstake for all the fans involved.

Why does it take from the second leg until today to make a decision?

Apart from finding it a bit funny, I'm not sure how I feel about this. Attempt at cheating? Yes. But there many attempts at cheating on a football pitch. Stupid from Southampton and they definitely underestimated the impact of being caught. Wonder how that chap is feeling But feel it's a bit pathetic from Middlesborough too, and not sure you'd really want to win promotion like is (I know they still have to beat Hull) but then again I'm sure the higher don't give a shit about that, they just want the premier league money. All that said, not sure what the punishment should've been as a fine is meaningless. Ideally punishment should've been made before the first leg but that was impossible.

Not getting too annoyed until June. I'll just pretend there is work going on behind the scenes
