  1. Back in the day when there were not much difference between kits I liked Blackburn for subbutteo
  2. The home kit and white kit look to be spoilt with shading. Makes the white look a bit grey from the pictures anyway. The third shirt is horrible but maybe I just an old fogey
  3. Good points. As long as we have pace elsewhere in the team I don't see the problem if O'Hare has other qualities. You mentioned Bowen. Going back a long way one of finest midfield players I have ever seen was Trevor Brooking of West Ham and he lacked pace. Andy King reminded me of Brooking in his running style. Never quick but scored some vital goals
  4. I like all blue. Having bones in the head is good
  5. Won rather more than Ward. The other Leeds keeper in that era was David Harvey
  6. Feeling rather more relaxed tonight compared to Chelsea v Spurs on 2 May 2016
  7. Great to reflect on our recent history but nice to remain humble. Major honour wise (top division, fa cup and League cup) not a lot before 1997. I'm sure fans were still proud of our club
  8. Kasper was wonderful of course but still great credit to Jim Montgomery for that double save in 73
  9. The game was very different back then and probably illustrates more about the problems now rather than how good or otherwise Leeds were back in the day
  10. A happy occasion for the club, fans and the city. What's not to like. Couldn't have a parade in 2021 after cup win so great for younger fans who don't recall 2016
  11. I think it is fair to say Leeds won or challenged closely for major honours in the Revie years and won the League again in 1992. Of course most of their fans under 40 will not remember. We can be proud of our own achievements particularly in the last ten years.
  12. Putting aside relegation clauses and reduced money. I wonder if some players who have their entire career at mid or lower table Premier would appreciate a season in the Championship and win it and have a tangible reward. Thinking of the joy expressed by Harry Winks for example
  13. After all the talk about our wobble when it came to the crunch both Leeds and Ipswich crumbled under the pressure as soon as we were out of the top two and we recovered when it mattered
  14. I was born weeks into the 1956 57 promotion season so claiming everything since!
  15. 2014 to 2024. What a 10 years
  16. Handsome that
  17. Don't trust either governing body
  18. Well put. That we've caught them out twice illustrates how bent the authorities are. This article smacks of the sort of plea bargain nonsense that goes on in criminal cases particularly in US. Don't dare defend yourself using the full legal process and accept guilty plea for a so called lesser sentence. At least this is only football and not more serious
  19. And who cares anyway? If they said we were brilliant and bound for the top six next season it is all speculation. We all like to chat about the game but even so called expert opinion counts for very little let alone amateurs
  20. Enjoying it now we have arrived at our preferred destination although still want title confirmed as icing on the cake. Still rather surprised that QPR demolished Leeds on Friday so we can relax a bit. Fully expected a nervy last two matches.
  21. Pure b*llshit more like. They have benefitted from us and Ipswich self imploding. Leicester's bottle and self belief had gone. It is ridiculous that they have cheated and then blatantly told the EFL to **** off and nothing has happened. If it had been Leeds the EFL would have made up a punishment for us. Cheating. What was that Brian Clough said about Leeds golden era
  22. Even back in 1957 having easily won the division they lost the last game at home to Leyton Orient 4-1.
  23. I think possibly the coverage bias is that Leeds is a larger city. Also dating all the way back to the Revie years they are seen as a big club.
  24. Imagine if they go up via the play off. Sky etc would probably almost erase the top 2 from the story of the season to wet themselves over Leeds
