  1. Made 94 all the sweeter though
  2. Very cruel game. I hope we don't have something similar coming our way
  3. Agreed. A much bigger issue than local rivalry
  4. Fair play to Coventry but United wilt like a delicate fragile flower. Red Devils not
  5. Apathy rules it seems. The game at the top is just so greedy.
  6. Money grabbing exhibition matches. Are the Aussies so desperate to watch meaningless games like this.
  7. The League Cup also brings in vital revenue to lower league clubs.
  8. All I would say is that I can't imagine being employed in another country and getting involved in singing songs against the head of state in said country.
  9. Probably true about taking silly comment a bit too seriously. Strange though how the 1-0 wins could be alluded to as lucky.
  10. Would help if interviewers were better prepared too
  11. I doubt many people get to 18 and decide to take up smoking. I suspect the vast majority take it up in early teens and fully addicted by 18. Anything that makes it more difficult to take it up ok with me. Fortunately never wanted to smoke and my own peer group thought it was a naff idea to smoke so no pressure there. I'm in late 60s and in the first generation in childhood when the threat to health caused by tobacco became fully known.
  12. On a similar theme. When tv round up of games they insist on having a loud irritating music track as well as the commentary. Perhaps they think younger viewers will switch over without extra noise
  13. Yes. Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story. He even said we won last minute 1-0 own goal. Didn't see the whole interview to be honest. Did he refer to their loss at West Ham after our draw with WBA where they blew a chance to go top. Or his ill discipline in their home draw with West Brom that got him banned. Anyway Spurs proved to be flat track bullies that season.
  14. This and the childish squabble with Madueke and Jackson is another example of how dislikable the game can be these days.
  15. Yes. Rather amateur approach by authority
  16. I advise not agonising over the permutations particularly as we've been rubbish the last two matches. You can play the games over and over in your head and then reality will arrive soon enough. Just surprised our cock up last night was not fully punished today
  17. Far worse that that

Yes. Obviously out if any sort of form and lacking confidence but the manager plays him in another crucial match
  19. And a division lower
  20. There was a short period when Peter Taylor had us near top of the league and we knew that was a false position. What is a surprise is that we had so few defeats this season up until our recent collapse. Seems like another false position is about to corrected
  21. Delighted it still bothers Spurs and Dier and we can revel again in our greatest achievement
  22. No wonder Dier and Spurs can't win anything with the victim mentality. The playing first was only any good if we won. If we had lost it would hand the advantage over. Pesky little Leicester kept winning. The crucial time we drew with West Brom and Spurs could have gone top next evening but lost to West Ham.
  23. Good points. Just think if we had blown it in 2016.
  24. I still don't know how we coped with 2016. The West Ham match at home a particular memory. I expected a struggle this season only to get sucked into our breakaway lead but not surprised we have seen it almost dissolve. Funny thing in years we were absolute crap you sort of become immune. It is a true cliché but it's the hope that kills you. Plus all the financial nonsense sours
  25. Was Wimbledon manager when we squeezed past them the League Cup Semi Final in 1997. Remember he was a good full back for Spurs
