  1. From what I understand certainly during the early part of the US campaign they weren't all that accurate anyway. Also when the RAF tried daylight bombing they could not sustain the losses. I know how we all deplore civilian losses but try to see it from the point of view from the desperate situation of the time and technology available
  2. As others said probably legal but it stinks. Imagine having to pre book all leave by 1st August not knowing what might crop up and no days left to use.
  3. Your parents had it right
  4. Just imagine if we could win it this year and win Championship. As said in a previous post it would be first side to do this particular double since West Brom in 1931.
  5. There was an online article where she was talking about her illness that resulted in her wife Laura finding a surgeon
  6. Tried to break it gently. Sorry for shock
  7. Very nice. I understand she prefers ladies. Nothing wrong with that of course.
  8. Before the game I thought we would go out so nice satisfaction at that result
  9. Make no mistake. Young or old we have been so lucky to be around when our club won these major honours. Particularly at a time when big money clubs win nearly everything.
  10. 100% This. Always wanted to win FA Cup since 1963. Every time the trophy was won by another club I would look at it and think beautiful but with regret and another season gone by. Winning the League was fantastic but the lack of the FA Cup was still there. When the goal went in the feeling was out of this world and just wanted the game over. When the final whistle went after the Kasper saves and VAR moment then all the waiting was over. Blissful
  11. I seem to remember that even going back to the days of the Warsaw Pact and BAOR with Nato allies there was only a limited defence possible before going for the nuclear button.
  12. Feel more sorry for Jaz than Mollie as he laid it out for her when he voted to banish again. They could have shared that prize pot. Do hope she is OK though. As for Harry what a performance.
  13. Br from Brno and En from Enfield = Bren Gun
  14. A lot of posters would fail the comedy quality v quantity test.
  15. And still the tired quips continue
  16. If Harry pulls this off he should be a General not a Corporal
  17. Agree you have to be very careful as you just don't know and to be honest I would advise keeping to yourself before trying to appear the gallant gentleman
  18. I think politeness will disappear as everyone becomes too afraid in case they are misunderstood. Some like to take offence rather than see that although offered in error no offence was meant
  19. A shame too
  20. Even if declining the offer it costs nothing to be polite and friendly. No need to take offence. On the tube I would be on particular guard so doubt would have much to do with strangers. Sad but true
  21. Only speaking for myself but can honestly say not guilty. Can we get past this idea that this is lad in his twenties and therefore can somehow be viewed with more sympathy. It is a major responsibility to drive a car. One of the issues with our society is this sense of entitlement without accepting the responsibility and behaving as an adult.
  22. I would suppose my real musical interest dates back to around late November 1970
  23. Because a lot of people are also stupid and do the same thing is no defence. They aren't pushing their luck. They are putting others at risk because at best a serious lack of judgement or simply arrogant. Put this way if going for their test would they suggest going for a quick pint before.
  24. It is a bit more than silly behaviour. He is not a kid.
