  1. What a man. Ran from the other side of the pitch, moved players aside (who were trying to help tbf) and let the medics do their work. I can only imagine what he's going through right now. Prayers for Eriksen tonight.
  2. Imagine leaving the training ground for the last time, devastated... Then Jamie Vardy taps you on the shoulder and says "Keep your chin up lad, work hard and you never know what might happen..."
  3. Greatest and best are two different things. However both will be subject to opinion. Greatest would be players who have been the most influential whilst we and/or they were successful. This would be players like Banks, Chandler, Schmeichel, Izzet, Elliott, Vardy and now Tielemans. Best could be that but would essentially have individual brilliance. Players like Banks, Kante, Weller, Wortho, Mahrez, and Huth are a few that I'd throw out there. It can be a fine line but that's how I see it.
  4. Nick Maynard made the subs bench for Newport County in the League Two play off. I know he didn't play for us but there was a strong link and loads of the would he, wouldn't he drama. Imagine that he could have been the main man at the expense of Jamie Vardy
  5. I genuinely do not know what is going on, what is new or what I'm missing. Time to move on to another topic.
  6. I think that some younger or newer members might not realise that there has been talk of a stadium expansion since before it opened in 2002.
  7. Chilwell had a few decent games for us. We made a good amount of money out of him and have just beaten him and his team in an FA Cup final, the first win in our history. The look on his face was one for the ages when the own goal was disallowed, especially given that he was the one who was offside. That is the end of the conversation regarding Chilwell as far as I'm concerned, apart from when we have played Chelsea again.
  8. I have been very impressed with Toney when I have seen him. A good goal scorer, works for the team and adds a bit of height to bring a bit more for set-pieces and when we are chasing a game. I think that Brentford will be in for a bit of a lesson when they play against better quality and organised defences and their own will be very exposed at times, as they have seen when we have played against them. That said, I like their style and they could get to twenty points in a reasonably quick time before they start to get weary and the concentration a bit thin. Toney would be a good buy but would be relatively expensive and I don't think he will look for a move just yet.
  9. Banks Huth Kante Vardy
  10. Q. Which established Belgian International scored a worldie to beat Chelsea in a major cup final in May 2021. A. Not KDB
  11. Mr Fantastic Wilfred Ndidi. Intercepting a problem before it affects the team too much.
  12. Any European trophy above all else in the next couple of years for me. Another PL win would be nice though
  13. Rivals to me will always mean local. Chav, sheep and trent trash all 100%. Possibly a bit more of a mathematical split if they are playing on the same day but it always feels like 100% each to me. 33% for any of them just seems much too low.
  14. FA Cup Winners 2021. That can never be taken away. Some brilliant performances. Some terrible. Another Europa League opportunity to make up for an ultimately disappointed one.
  15. Youri has already had a shaky spells in his career (ASM). I hope that his current status and a looming Euros will make him want to keep his feet on the ground and cement his reputation at LCFC for at least another season.
  16. Maybe Praet doesn't get a game because he's not able to fit into BR's preferred formation? Nor can Ndidi though who, in recent games has played a more advanced, confusing role then shifts to defence to help out. I'd have much preferred to see the Belgian International midfielder on the pitch today than Mendy. Heaven forbid that we go 4-4-2 with Amartey on and Ndidi in his classic role patrolling in front of defence with Praet linking and supporting. Praet will leave in the summer, I am sure. He is too good to sit on the bench while our push for CL football goes up in smoke.
  17. Since 2016 I have got sick of repeating to doubters and spiters that we won the league over 38 games because we were the best. Now we are having to suck up the spite because we have to accept that this team and squad are 5th best over 38 games. A couple of players who are experienced in big game management might just take us over the line. Providing, of course that the quality players we already have don't jump ship to get CL football next season.
