Working away in Southampton when all seater stadiums first came in, never been cold at a match till l was persuaded to go watch them in a cup tie, but then I'd never sat down at a match before. Cant remember anything about the game, the hypothermia has erased the memory!

How many times was that said of Rooney? Stupidity knows no bounds for football club owners - who in their right mind appoints him? Someone looking for publicity (like Plymouth with Rooney)? Someone star struck? Someone like our owner! -

He won't be sacked, but come the inevitable relegation he will be offered and accept a better job elsewhere - (clearly not difficult to find) - and walk away. Like Cooper he was never the man for the job (although Cooper did much better) but who can blame either for taking the riches offered by our (to be generous) clueless owner and hapless board. I can't find a single thing atm to like about our club, rotten in every department. -
Clearly a post that reflects the hopelessness of our position/season! May as well ask "would you have MON as he was in 1995"! Or sign Messi*.. etc. etc.. Equal chance of these happening, frankly zero! * we may sign Messi as head coach the day after he retires from playing and says he may like to coach one day.

With you on this but l don't think there ARE any managers like Dyche, only Dyche. I don't think he's crazy enough to step into our stupidity, lies and ineptitude. -

Keeping VanRooney beyond the International break sends completely the wrong message, it reinforces player power and tells fans both that results mean nothing and that we've given up! Personally I'd like to see a modern day Marquis de sade given free reign with our excuse for professional footballers, and frankly the people who do the recruitment, iow the omnishambles team, are incapable of even identifying the right candidates much less appointing one. But on the basis that NOBODY could do worse than the idiot in charge atm*, then literally anybody has a chance of being better! * So long as the players agree not to down tools again. -

Dyche may be boring, old fashioned, unadventurous, defensive etc.etc.etc. But one thing he isn't is stupid. He wont come here. -
Fits right in here then!
-
He's in the doghouse clearly... 😐
-
Ahh.. The plan is to pull both off when we are 3-0 up and defend the lead. 😐
-
Standard BBC knowledge, did they mention Man U at all?
-
Trying something different is great, trying something different and ridiculous isn't. I cannot for the life of me understand his thinking here! Is that the cunning plan? Baffle Enzo with the brown stuff?

This is on TNT... unfortunately l have that. 😕 -
Cant share your optimism bud (if optimism it be), heard this "he's gone if we dont win" too many times. We have I'd suggest a less than 1% chance of winning - if they have 2 men sent off in the first 10 mins - but he wont be sacked when we lose, if he is to be sacked this result is irrelevant compared to the utter failure in the previous games.
-
Precisely my first thought too.

This manager business is like my stock on ****ing etoro! On monday I'm thinking - I'll sell this rubbish, tomorrow Tuesday - it's "not selling till it goes up a bit" Wednesday - it drops more Thursday - l think, wish I'd sold on monday Friday - l sell for less than what l rejected on tuesday! We may be rejected by those candidates that we didn't think good enough yesterday and have to settle for 3rd rate journeymen much like we did with Dean Smith and with predictable results! We may soon see it as a proper coup to get Rooney, Gerrard or Lampard - thats how far our club has fallen under this utterly useless owner and his serial failures. No improvement now until the club is sold imao.
-
But he wont be here over the summer! Simply because another clueless owner will be starstruck and offer him a better job sans Rudkin. And frankly who could blame him.
-
Poor old Robin van Persie, done nothing and still gets a bit of blame! 😐

Love this post, I'll wager you're a massive game of thrones fan! Bet you 10p you can't legitimately mention a dragon in your next post. 20p if you can get in "Trebuchet". 😐

Totally agree, but unfortunately it seems our "brilliant" players thought they were so much better than him and convinced our amazingly gullable owner of it too. I never wanted Cooper but he was by hook or by crook keeping us out of the bottom 3, lots say by luck, well maybe or maybe he simply got the best out of rubbish, probably still wouldn't have been enough but the naive and disastrous appointment of van Rooney guarantees we go down in a far worse situation than last time. Like you l saw this coming from day 1, l also knew that there would be multiple excuses provided for his failure by the cooperouts (all of which could have been used for Cooper but never were). Appointing Cooper was a mistake, sacking him a bigger one and appointing van Rooney a suicidal farce.

There is no point in caring because the owner clearly doesn't care about the club or the fans, like lots of rich, connected people he basically sees us as cash cows and not worthy of respect much less of opinions. The feeling of utter disconnect is at the forefront of the apathy l think, not just with the owner and board but with the EPL and the ultra corrupt FIFA. I too am done with it now until there is real change... But I'm not holding my breath.
