It only makes sense to try new formations if the plan is to actually use them in the PL. Personally don't see the sense in just giving a different formation a go for the sake of it. Try 5 at the back if we genuinely think its something we want to do. Otherwise use the time to work on patterns of play and general play issues we need to work on. I do think its worthwhile putting academy players in as long as they fit the formation Ruud wants to play.

We will win this.

Every player develops at their own pace. Problem is you have outliers like Yamal which make people think every 16 year old can do it. It's important to get this right, and the fans can't make these decisions based on 10 second instagram clips.

Facundo Buonanotte joins on loan - Official

You really do pick and chose your points don't you! Vardy has come in for a lot of criticism. BDCR also provided a decent pass for our first goal against Spurs - but why not just ignore that and cherry pick the Bilal goal. This is a problem with Facundos game. Its a fair criticism and in a team where Bilal is playing better he isn't starting. Why can't this be an area of his game he should look to improve? -

Bang on. Facundo gets a 'free pass' on this, because he's a flair player who shows some amazing technical skill. But there is a huge flaw to his game that has caused lots of problems ( i particularly remember JJ getting pelters at home for a poor clearance but it was Facundo who created the problem in the first place ). We don't know what goes on in training, but if he isn't showing the desire to improve this then what is the manager meant to do? -
Most families have personal debt - is that wrong? If everyone worked to your principal then none of us would get mortgages. Its common for business to finance and have debt. Amazon didnt become one of the biggest companies in the world by working on a no debt principal. If raised money to fuel growth. You can be self financing and still have debt. Thats not to say our owners could have done much, much better. But football is definitely different to your standard business and i dont know many clubs that aren't sat on big piles of debt.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

Brighton manager just got thumped 7-0. Is he just walking? Pep just got thumped 5-1 - is he just walking? This whole he's just gonna walk out crap is complete nonsense. He's paid good money and is on a contract. Only way he goes is if his contract gets paid off. -
After Wolves signed 2 new center backs i presume he felt there was even less chance he got to play this season if he moved there. I think his main goal is to play as little as possible, so his podcasts and shout a lot in warm ups. For us, real danger Vesty gets phased out again and he has to play.

Any old shit who put it together came up with.

Is it time to start thinking a bit more positively yet or is it obligatory that i must slash my wrists? Horrible transfer window behind us, shocking Everton game as well, but before that i felt we had seen improvements but football can sometimes be 1 step forwards 2 steps back. Maybe the Everton game will push through some different thinking which might mix things up. I don't want to see what Ruud thinks is our strongest 11 and i don't want to see Vardy up top. Start Woyo, Thomas, Skipp, Facundo and if Ndidi is ready give him some minutes. If Edouard is fit then start him, as we have to see if there is anything he can offer. We know what Daka can or cant offer, so i dont see the sense in starting him if Edouard is fit. No brainer that Mads needs the game time. Would love to see some academy involvement regardless of the score. Dont know if Monga is realistic or if physically Braybrook is still way off it. But something to show us we care about the academy in a game thats a free hit. I dont care if we lose or win. Would just like to see us turn up and put the crap window/everton game behind us.

So we cant play Coady again and we all want Faes to never play again either. That just leaves Jannick who most of us never want to play for the club again and Okoli. Good times for the CB position.

Why is anyone going to walk away from a contract in the PL. He'll take his money, like all of us would. -
I dont think so. But i presume the player can also throw his toys out of the pram. Could get messy.
-
'Looking for replacement'. I mean, i'll sit on the bench for the rest of the season.
-
Don't think they can. Its up to use to let him go. We might do if he is behaving like a cry baby.

He can still discuss to possible new employers what contributed to the poor performance at his last club. -

Why would anyone walk away from a contract in the PL? He sees it out until they sack him. Then in his next interview he can talk about how he wasnt backed.... -

Im confused - why is this not poor attitude from Facundo? He has huge limitations in his game and is showing little desire to do anything about it? He's been giving the ball away cheaply all season. BEK has improved massively and is actually showing him up. -
Is it any consolation that if we were linked to him he was probably shit?
-
Well - i am being facetious. I'd actually like to see him fight for his place and put the effort in to improve, but it seems he has some sort of issue doing that. I don't think he will feature much in the Brighton side as i think they are well aware of his failings. But if it also meant we could get the sort of loan we really need i wouldn't be against him going. I just know we wont do any business like that!
-
If only he didn't hand the ball back to the opposition at every opportunity. Hes been really poor lately. BEK is the better player, and ours. If we are able to replace with a CB loan (which we wont) then i wouldn't mind him going back.
-
Then he will be utter garbage for the next 3 games.
-
He really does have a bad habit of pulling out of challenges.
