  1. Nacho proves my point. Players get better the less you see them play.
  2. That’s not true though. We got out of any through technicalities but our case is still under appeal. No matter what, we have to comply in the current and future accounting periods. Not getting deductions now doesn’t mean we can go and flash the cheque book about.
  3. My dog could manage Celtic and get trophies. It's great he's got silverware from Japan and Australia, but those are far removed from PL level. i think he's one of the sh1test managers i've seen at the big 6. His demeanor is unbelievable and can only imagine what its like to be a player under him. He behaves like a petulent teanager. My only hope is that he stays in the job for another week, although i wouldn't put it past us to help him out for a few more weeks.
  4. Its going to remain honking for the rest of the season for the entire bottom 4 (maybe 5 if Everton had a 1 game bounce). Its still there to play for, as mad as it sounds.
  5. For a club hailed for its excellent use of data/analytics, this is really grim reading, as its likely they know exactly the outcome of the price rises.
  6. I said not long before that he was playing like there was only 5 minutes of the game left. I can only imagine it was prearranged.
  7. Iversens distribution is almost criminal. There is a big difference between the 2.
  8. Of course. I think Mads might have done something better with that first goal as well. Mads is one of the best in the league, but i think Jakub is much better that Iversen and has looked pretty comfortable with his feet too.
  9. Actually feel like he has largely done himself proud. Would say Fulham was his weakest game but I don't feel like i am watching someone out of his depth at all.
  10. Not sure. Keep an eye on Wolves with Cunha back.
  11. Would have been magic if that OG went in during the 1st half, and would love us to have sung 'he plays on the left, he plays on the right......'
  12. Are we even linked with anyone anymore?
  13. 40+, because i am a deluded ***t
  14. Just seen where Spurs are in the table - jeeze when you consider the money they have spent. No way Ange survives this, which is a shame as his weekly meltdowns keep me going. Madders is a poisoned player isn't he?
  15. As we saw against West Ham, Daka has goals in him. Do i think he is the solution to problems - no. But resting Vardy might actually solve problems and are you ok for thinking he should be starting every game? I hate this chat - Vards is the goat and i love just seeing him on the pitch. But for the love of god, just rotate him.
  16. West Ham beaten by Palace yesterday 0-2 at home. Jury out on him as well.
  17. I think work has clearly been done on the defence. 1st half Fulham had 0 shots on target and in the 2nd half they converted the 2 shots on target they had. But, last few games the inability to score has killed us as this would have likely changed all games.
  18. Lots of instances in the past when the board and senior players have used their influence. Its not unusual.
  19. When we were getting points everyone was complaining that the football was terrible and we were massively exceeding our XG. Its like when things went wrong under Brendan - you could see it in the performances even when we were still able to get points. We were massively clinical and Mads was saving our arses. There were times under Cooper where our goals scored massively exceeded out stats, and lots of us were pointing out this wasn't sustainable. Its now caught up with us.
  20. It's not hindsight, its written from the perspective that to get the best out of Vardy we need to rotate him as Enzo did last year. I was expecting Ruud to start Daka against Palace and was shocked he didn't.
  21. I'm going to put my hand up here and open myself up to ridicule, but before i do, this is just my opinion based on what I see and how i read the stats. I think the overall play has been better under Ruud. I also think it's taken some bottle for him to try and create that identity mid season, especially when there have been some key injuries during a very busy winter period. The situation around goalkeepers is something i wouldn't have wished on any incoming manager. I felt we outplayed Palace in the 1st half and they didn't 'batter' us in the 2nd, and if you look at the stats for the Fulham game, we did a very good job on containing them in the 1st half whilst having some good chances ourselves. The stats show me Fulham had 0 big chances in the 1st half and we had 2 shots on target - work has clearly been done here. I felt we gave a very good account of ourselves against Man City and Liverpool. He's also got the best out of BEK and realised that Facundo is a bit of a liability when he gives the ball away all the time. If Ruud had been given pre season and the summer transfer window, I would put money on us playing ok and the fans not panicking. But football is a results oriented business, and he has come into a team that clearly has issues from board level done to the squad. I'm convinced Ruud isn't the reason why Vardy started 3 games in 1 week, and i'm also convinced that in the last week or so the realisation about what we can actually do in the transfer has really hit home. Maybe an experienced 'bastard' coming in was the answer. The biggest problem with have now is the part of our game that was getting Cooper out of jail has deserted us. I think most of us looked at the first half of the season and felt it wasn't sustainable for us to be as clinical as we were. We are now creating more chances but not converting anything, we don't have Mads getting us out of jail.
  22. Not if Vards is using his own influence and power with the board to ensure he plays. He might believe that the only way out of our predicament is for him to play/score to lift the team and the board may well be in agreement with that and putting the pressure on the manager. If (and it's an if, but i have my suspicions) thats the case, then it's the boards fault.
  23. Daka offered something different against Palace that could have worked, especially as they sat back and flooded the midfield in the first half. As you can see from the game, the difference between the 2 teams was Vardy not converting chances. Starting Daka and bringing Vardy on (even if it was still only 0-1 at the time) offered something more compelling than we we actually did.
  24. He's a lead by example captain. So, when he scores early against West Ham or relatively late on against Brighton, it lifts him, the team and the crowd. However, when things aren't working it has the opposite effect. He's clearly running his socks off and gives a shit. But in our predicament that isn't good enough when leading by example no longer works. You will notice that no one in the team questions him, and yesterday i saw very little interaction between Vardy and the squad beyond Vardy pointing for BEK to press. Its why heads drop so fast when we go 1-0 down. There is no one there to guide them.
