He's firm favourite on betfair (1.21 vs DZ @ 6). I would say its been done already and it just getting all the final details sorted. Personally, i'm really disappointed. I think he's the real deal and no matter what next season it was going to be difficult, but i thought he was our best bet at getting through it. I've enjoyed the football although appreciate its not to everyone's taste, but when it worked i thought we were great. Out of the big 3 this season (him, Farke and Martin) he was the one that delivered. His stock is high. Really hoped he was able to see the project out. Not sure where it leaves us but we know that Top has his own ideas of how we should approach things. Think its going to be quite an underwhelming rumour fest. As for Chelsea, I understand why Enzo would do it, but unless he nails it, its going to be a tough existence for him. Enzo seems like quite an emotional chap, so when Chelsea invariably struggle and the owners stick their awe in, its going to be tough for him. Time to move on already. But have some real worries about next season already. Continuity would have been a big plus for us.

Really not keen on Moyes. West Ham playing some pretty rancid stuff and massively underachieved in the league last 2 seasons. Would rather look at an up and coming candidate like Corberan who would look to prove himself at this level.

What makes me laugh is people point to our bad spell as a reason why Enzo is inappropriate. DZ has stunk the league out 2nd half of the season. Absolutely stunk it with horrendous relegation form that they never dug themselves out of. Go look at the 10 game form table. And people come on here and say what DZ has done us ‘worked’. DZ and Chelsea deserve each other.

Its bollocks that Chelsea would likely have taken too much notice of it. They would be paying far more attention to how the coach applies himself to the job, skills, ambition etc. Yes, he went very high risk but so what? Where we were at the time it was better to go high risk than low block. That has to be commended. And we had them at 2-2! Yes, it was a bad defensive day and we had Hamza playing that inverted role. But we stuck to what we do rather than parked the bus. A club would take more notice of that. There is a reason why Championship managers who park the bus don't really hit the radar of bigger clubs.

Surely anyone going in for an interview would want clear directives about roles / responsibilities. I would expect questions about transfers, playing style and team selection to be very high up that list.
