  1. I suppose thats why when he is 'on it' we see KDH make these runs. Things have to be just right though (i.e ball needs to be on his left foot and he needs to be pointing in the right direction). Would be nice to see Mavididi running through the middle more often.
  2. Who do you currently consider an international worthy of the statement 'squad full of internationals'.
  3. I agree about recruitment, although i think this summer showed us getting things back on track. I laugh how the same posters say that our recruitment has been awful, but at the same time say that we have the best team ever in the Championship.
  4. So you play Nacho (who has been turd all season) at the expense of either a highly mobile attacking midfielder (Ndidi or Akgun) or someone with technical skill (Praet) just to support Daka. In your scenario Nacho meanders around doing next to nothing pressing no one and we lose one of the midfield options. I get the desire to do something different, but i also understand why Enzo isn't doing it stuff like this, especially as he doesn't have the Nacho bias the fans have. People seem so desperate to shoehorn Nacho in they forget what he is really bad at. Think if you have a super creative outlet like Maddison and someone as clinical as Barnes you can make do and maybe benefit from the once a game thing Nacho might come up with. But we don't have that luxury.
  5. One 2 of us, Leeds and Southampton could automatically go up and all fit your profile- so is it a piece of piss for all 3? In terms of internationals, who do we actually have who plays at a decent level? Nacho barely played at Afcon, Praet hasn't played for Belgium for years and Faes is a bit part player. Its like saying in Chelseas budget winning the league should be a piece of piss.
  6. But you weren't originally comparing to them. You've just changed the goal posts
  7. Utter horseshi*
  8. We have to go up. Its easier to rebuild with the revenue we will get up there. The longer you spend in the doldrums the less likely it is you can get and retain the youth talent as well.
  9. I don't get why anyone thinks we have been lucky? Did Leeds have a divine right to beat Blackburn? Are Middleborough not one of the in form teams? If anything, Ipswich were fortunate to keep that to a draw - Middleborough were all over them at the end. I've said countless times that teams will drop points in the run in. Yes, it sucks to have to rely on others to drop points too but i don't think that it's in anyway lucky when Leeds have a stinker and Blackburn take their chances. Unless I simply don't understand the term 'luck' anymore?
  10. What we need is another poll. That will clear things up.
  11. Stamford Bridge silent. Chelsea have some of the worst fans in English football.
  12. I doubt it yet. But to think what could have been ……..
  13. Thought most people wanked themselves silly over the thought of Dyche coming here. Now you’re using his goalkeeper to beat up Enzo? All keepers (maybe not Iversen) play more on the ball than in previous eras.
  14. No chance KDH plays for England.
  15. We earnt that lead though, and for a huge portion of it Ipswich were on our tails still. People speak like a lead was handed to us on a plate. And then Leeds went on their own pretty substantial run. Up until Blackburn they hadn't lost at home all season. Our points total so far would already have been enough to get promoted in many other seasons. Our 5 game form now has us ahead of Leeds who have forgotten how to score and win as well. Im still confident we can get this over the line. The Norwich and Birmingham games were great.
  16. People are just angry and writing any old sh1te right now. Anything other than what is happening is the 'right' way (2 up top, play Sharky, play the kids, 'dont 'play the kids). Fatawu is crap apparently and Hermansen needs replacing because he can kick a ball, and that isn't what we need. Now the manager is 'brain washing' them. Its all got silly. Supposed 'better' teams who play a variety of styles couldn't score this weekend (us, Leeds, West Brom, Liverpool, Arsenal). Are they all wrong? Or, is this sport just an asshole sometimes.
  17. The fact that a lot of our fans think we have the best squad 'ever' to play in the Championship tells me that many don't really understand the predicament we have ended up in. Remember there being a thread on here after the start to the season asking if a team had ever gone unbeaten in a championship season. Then we had HMS P155 the League. Its stressful, but i find it funny that the 3 top teams aren't going to get past 100 points now. I know we theoretically still can, but we aren't winning all 4 games. Taking the sting out the us and Leeds being one of the best ever.
  18. And Pearson is Mr Project. As soon as the Enzo project hit a hurdle, everyone wanted him out. Is everyone going to be willing to give Pearson the years he needs just to get things moving again.
  19. Suppose we will see. We will be nailed on for points deductions next season, and as the FFP period is rolling 3 years we will have to be seen as cutting our cloth and trying to comply in the next period. Selling the academy asset is the perfect way of doing it as anything you buy can be amortised over contract length. Like it or not, this is the model we have to revert back to and we don't have many academy assets to sell right now.
  20. We have to sell a big asset this financial period. I doubt we get 40 mil for KDH, but in the 30's takes the the pressure off a little and allows us to rebuild in the following financial period.
  21. If we go up and it helps increase his value, the likelihood he goes increases.
  22. He's going no matter what.
  23. 30-40 mill will mean 25 mill with ad ons.
  24. I would bank on myself being able to beat that back line. And people think we have the best team the Championship has ever seen.
  25. Absolute bollox im afraid. Vardy practically had an open goal in the Bristol game. Daka scored from an offside position and he should be managing his position much better there. Then he skidded the ball across the face of the goal in the second half where he must be hitting the target. I agree that the last left foot shot before he was subbed at Plymouth was actually a bit more difficult - but he hits it like my wife was taking the shot. If you at least get it on target - anything can happen. Also Nacho's header against Millwall saved off the line. There was more than this too. These aren't scrap chances. These were the moment were we had to score. If we cant take any of these we cant take anything?
