If we have any aspirations of being a regular in european competitions, we should go fairly strong here. You won't see many top European teams fielding unrecognisable teams in the 2nd phase of these competitions (certainly the successful ones). If you don't treat the tournament with some respect, then don't expect any in return. So no fecking Ward / Vesty please.

My guess is that he started talking about summer rebuilding before any budgets agreed and has tried to use that as leverage to get the figure he wants. Rogers reminds me of my old boss who did the same when starting a new project and wanting to outsource. He just started telling other management that he was getting xx budget to use an outsourcer. Don’t know if I’m more worried about the team or the fans these days. You would think we were player Inter Milan today.
