Seeing how happy he was at the end (love the 'thank you Rickie!),i don't buy into this idea he doesn't want to be here right now. He's one of these players you expect a world class performance week in, week out, and a poor show stands out like a sore thumb yet the more gritty stuff gets missed. Saying that, that pass for their goal STANK.

I mentioned in the KDH thread - great run and well spotted by KDH. I thought Lookman was excellent. Took a while for him to work out how to past their defence but once he found his feet he looked quick and sharp and that ball sticks to his feet. He's first choice for now.

It was a very different game to Palace - as we largely controlled that one at home. You have to remember that this is his first big season, at the beginning of the campaign he was being played largely as an unknown. He does not have a huge amount of experience at this level. He had a difficult first half, but everyone did. Nervy european night, and you can't expect everyone to be scoring worldies every game. However, he started to show some great form in the 2nd half. If you watch the 2nd goal again, you see that KHD is at in the middle of a beautiful move where he controls the play and passes a sublime ball to lookman (great run too). PSV would have loved to have had their KHD last night. To pull this off in a difficult, away match - pure class. This guy captured it quite nicely!

Pure class. Has been immense this season. Wearing a different shirt, he would be in the England setup. If Gareth would pick him, might help him stay long term, but I fear a move coming in the summer.

PSV (A) 14 April | UECL quarter final 2nd leg
Chelmofox replied to Koke's topic in Leicester City Forum
My favourite part of going to the first leg was watching him warm up during the first half. He looked around the crowd in awe with a huge smile on his face. He wiggled his legs to do the most pathetic warm up i've ever seen - he knew he wasn't coming on . I hope he takes a lot from this experience. He is going to be a superstar! -

He would have seen it - it would have been a pragmatic decision to try not to concede. Being stronger defensively, we no longer have to score 2 goals to stay in a match or score 3 to win it. However, as we have to get some sort of result I expect tactics at some point to get more open. -
PSV (A) 14 April | UECL quarter final 2nd leg

This is 100% winnable. Within the last few weeks, whilst losing some of our attacking flair, we've made ourselves harder to beat. PSV are good, and at times it's going to feel like we are really up against it. I was really disappointed with PSV in the first leg. I understand they came to do a specific job (similar job that we failed to do away to Liverpool or Arsenal), but i thought they were negative and sucked everything out of the game. 2nd leg will be different. In a silly way, i feel more confident going into the 2nd leg 0-0 than i would be us being up 1-0. We have to get something out of it, and the opportunity for the players to mentally think they only have to defend won't be there. -
My understanding is that encroachment only counts once the encroaching player impacts play. So if Cags had left the ball alone and let Kasper collect it they wouldn't have retaken. But i think Cags did the right thing. Zaha does a subtle stutter which slowed his run down. Was the right decision but harsh in the grand scheme of things. In the Arsenal game, encroachment would only have counted if Saka had scored a rebound and the goal would have been disallowed.

I can't remember who, but someone (may have been Peter Schmeichel) had the audacity to say that there were 15 minutes towards the end where the game petered out. He was duly corrected and said that the intensity in that period was still incredible and a class above anything that ever existed ever. Seemed like everyone was being paid £100 each time they said the word 'intense'.
-
Also loved the way he headed to the cornerflag when he won the ball at the end. Kelly waving his arms about but KDH smart and made the right decision.
-
Odd too that they talked about Conor Gallagher, who had a rubbish game.
-
I thought the whole ground shouting 'wan**r' after Zaha's goal wasn't captured on MOT2 adequately. Like to think Palace fans joined in with that.
-
I actually thought he was a big part of Palace being so jittery at the back to be honest. They were clearly concerned about his pace, had arms all over him at every opportunity, and resorted to some pretty pathetic back / sideways passing, that in turn led to some of our other players picking up the spoils. They settled down at the back a bit more when Kelly came on.
-
Who was criticising it? Watch MOTD and saw no reference to anything? i went to the London stadium earlier in the season and the guy next to me was playing his Nintendo switch all game. Stadium empties out nearly 10 mins before the end of each half and in the game we saw most of the stadium had gone before seeing Noble miss a penalty against De Gea. Cost me £90 for a ticket and leaving the stadium a horrible experience.

From where I was sitting, I thought Viera looked like an old, fat Patrick Viera. Agree with you about tactics though. They really didn’t like being pressed. With the rotation and tactics, Brendan needs some praise.
-
Simply unbelievable. Think he’s added another 10 million to his value in one week. Don’t think Southgate can ignore.

Ref a ****. KDH magnificent. Great day out.

Im up for it no matter what!, and I think there is a lot to play for here as results today worked in our favour. I’ve been able to get to Brentford and PSV and will be at this but it might be the last game I can make this season as life takes over and I have to travel for work most weekends. Might be able to make the Everton game and the conference semi . Shame as my son is loving it right now, even though most people think it’s shi*e at the moment! I actually think it will be an interesting game. -

I think his last PL start was Wolves? I said that in the Randers home game not long before that, Rodgers was getting really pissy with him and Lookman was completely blanking him. Had a gut feeling after that it might be time up for Lookman. If he doesn't start tomorrow, in a game where Barnes really needs a rest and Perez is woeful, then he definitely won't be signed (probably ). -
I can only presume Rangnick is tasked with ensuring Manure don't qualify for the champions league Could Rangnick be the worst managerial appointment ever? He looks like he hates everything about the club and the team, and couldn't care less. They might as well have appointed big Sam for an interim role. Although, i couldn't give a s**t, its great to see the pundits losing their minds over it week after week.
