  1. Because Brighton are pissing all over us in the league, the cup and in Europe?
  2. Amazing how quick things come tumbling around you........
  3. Just spoke to my scouse colleague. She said they are well up for this, and are seriously pumped for Salah's return as they think he's got a point to prove. Its going to be a very, very hard day at the office! Also asked her about Brendan. They just nodded and said 'get rid - toxic'
  4. That would mean moving from a sociopath to a psychopath. That will be an interesting shift.
  5. Crikey - i had no idea she could smile.
  6. Was flicking between the 3 games last night. Most PL teams still p*ss poor after this winter break with the exception of Newcastle who look improved. Man U and West Ham in particular awful, and Everton seriously sh*te. If you thought the atmosphere in the KP was bad, London stadium seemed like a morgue. Not sure why it's now taking time for the teams to pick up. Winter break seems at the wrong time to me and i wonder if teams just have an eye on the up and coming congested fixture list and are playing within themselves.
  7. No, definitely not Dyche.
  8. And our biggest problem is in defence, and we all know full well the injury problems we've had this year. Arguable neither manager has sorted out their problems.
  9. Really don't get this at all. One place ahead of us in the PL whilst we have 2 games in hand, out of the FA cup as well (mullered by Spurs) and haven't had to compete in Europe this season. And everyone saying he is a success?
  10. Most PL were sh**e this weekend. West Ham were terrible, Chelsea poor, Man U soulless and Liverpool should have had Kelleher sent off at 0-0 (VAR check at Anfield - ha ha!). It in no way excuses the performance, but this winter break is such a bad idea headed into the 4th round. Most PL teams looked really, really rusty.
  11. He's ridiculous. It's like i'm watching a 90's computer game where the ball is stuck to the players feet and you can move from side to side / round and round and the defenders can't touch you. Only, its real life. Used that to close out the game too. Class.
  12. Enjoyed that 2nd half. Loved watching them close the game out, almost stress free . Commentators didn't know what to make of Alves.
  13. According to the bbc feed:
  14. If we can pick up 3 points for each cup / europa win then i reckon we will finish above Arsenal
  15. All players develop differently at these ages. He needs to play, but in the right games. I would put a lot of money that the club know better how to do that and either have loans or the right sort of matches in mind. Vesty can be thrown under a bus, Brunt can't.
  16. Because Brunt needs to be nurtured and coached still. Get it wrong and you can ruin the rest of his career. I was at the Watford game and thought he was brilliant, but not sure i want to see him thrown under a bus yet.
  17. This 100%. A lot of the names im seeing signed aren't making me insanely jealous. Not keen on either Van Der Beek, Lingard or Ali. Even with Erikson would rather someone else took the challenge. I'm happier Justin signed an extension and potentially Fofana and Riccardo will too.Looking forward to Alves and Baybrook getting their starts sometime soon too.
  18. In fairness to Rodgers, he seems up for it. Said he was looking forward to it and misses derby games. I've no reason to believe we wont turn up.
  19. I can only presume the statement has come from someone who hasn't listened to that audio recording, because if he had there is no way he should be that polite. And odd that the statement went straight for the 'hacked' line, when i thought the earlier story was that the stuff was originally posted to a private group and leaked that way. As poster said earlier, this very much feels like step 1 in operation cover up.
  20. Avoid. I think there's an attitude problem in there and he's not an upgrade on what we have (imho).
  21. What's wrong with just trying to twat everyone in everything?
  22. If they don't have a manager, who are they going to be sacking every 3 months?
  23. I'd go with Tielemans. Thought he was better against Brighton (just) but his quality can shine through here especially with Ndidi back. Nice to have the option of replacing him with KDH as an impact sub rather than just bringing on another pair of legs.
  24. I agree, but if this is the right model then everyone needs to reset their expectations. Its a model where if the strength and depth isn't there one year (arguably this one) then 10th is where you should be. Furthermore, Newcastle are about to disrupt everyones models moving forward. We now have a 5th club willing to spend anything to get success. Arguably, being brave is shifting from this and not selling one of your best players at their high point to have a go at the top 4.
  25. Isn't that largely an unsustainable approach? Problem with this model is you need is you need to have that huge player to sell every year and by not keeping your best talent you are never going disrupt the top 4 / 6 because you are not keeping people at their peak. At some point, you are going to want to keep that best talent for an extra season. Arguably 21/22 it would have been Youri. 22/23 Its likely to be both Youri and Madders.
