I'm not Rodgers in, but: 1. There isn't the depth to consistently compete at top 5 level. The injuries amplify that in numerous ways. 2. They aren't, but something needs to be done about the aging side of the squad (Evand, Vardy, Kasper) and the guys who probably aren't good enough to be in the consistent top tier team (Hamza, Amartey, Perez, Mendy), and those who have one eye elsewhere (Youri and possibly Maddison?) 3. Not sure he said that.

I think the compo is massively overplayed. If they need to pay it, they will. Can only presume right now that there is still faith in him. But it must be wearing thin.

If Maddison is fit i would play. He's not really played a proper game since West Ham. Mendy not available in Europa. I would play Soumare and Perez though. I kind of feel Lookman deserves a rest.

So everyone been saying that Barnes has been crap this year, as soon as there is an injury issue the world comes crushing down. Will be a miss as i thought he was great in the 2nd half against WH, but looking at the rain glad he's not playing.

Its insane to think his first PL start was against Villa. I remember when he came on as sub in one of the Europa games earlier in the season and he didn't get a great reception on the forums. Was a joy to watch him Thursday, and I like that Brendan sees areas he can improve his game. I think it's probably a good thing for him that success came a bit later compared to others. He certainly seems grounded and humble so i think he's at an age not to go off the rails when the riches come in. I think an England call up is probably too soon, but Southgate tends to bring players in earlier than expected so who knows? Could we be seeing him playing in Qatar? Thanks for this! Lurking their forums has been like therapy. Guy doing the stadium tour said Thomas our for 2 weeks. Dunno if genuine news, but a bit sh@t if true as that probably means season.

We were right at the front in B3, and had a really good view of Brendan communicating with Lookman in the 2nd half. Brendan motioning circles which we presumed was overlapping with lookman and amartey (if you watch the bt sport highlights, you can see Brendan doing the same gesture to Amartey after our second goal). Pretty much everytime Brendan was shouting to lookman, lookman was blanking him and you could see Brendan getting visibly annoyed. Our take is he wasn’t doing what he was told where as other players were giving feedback to Brendan. At the end Lookman and Choudhury gave their shirts to fans. Whilst a nice gesture (if you are in to that sort of thing!) Lookman made no eye contact with the fan at all, whilst Choudhury was all smiles. My take is he is really, really shy and introverted. I noticed after Ndidi’s goal, Ndidi goes straight to KDH to celebrate even though the goal came from a nice 1-2 with lookman. I like him even though he is a bit frustrating and the shyness makes him difficult to warm to. However, unless he does what he’s told I don’t see Brendan keeping.

As I said, Brendan thought the forest match was won by just turning up.
