I was at the Chelsea game where he stared at the ball going over his head (we sat in stunned silence), and the Wolves game where we starting singing 'what the f*****g hell was that' when he was lying on the floor. I even stopped a fight between 2 guys in front of me that game - Ward had triggered something in them that i bet they had never experienced before or will again. There is something special about him. I do think however, my favourite moment is the Newcastle game. Was watching on a dodgy stream that had cut out, then returned with a pixelated mess of someone warming up on the touchline only for it to slowly reveal the true horror of what was happening. My son turned to me and said 'Don't worry Dad - this is his chance and i trust him'. Then minutes later my son is screaming 'what is he doing anywhere near that pitch. Loser!' He single handedly sapped any confidence out of us this season and we never recovered. One other moment. Last season we waiting for autographs after a game and Ward was one of the players signing. One kid said to him 'you are my favourite 3rd choice keeper'. I am sure Ward deep down is happy that he had the last laugh.

I'm pretty sure he has 0 goal contributions. Also,, i have never seen him take a shot in the warm up. He does stretches during shooting drills. Its like the 'scoring goals' part of football is of no interest to him.

You'd be waiting ages for a go mate. He'd spend about 90 minutes 'messing around the back' before you could get anywhere near.

Smith came with Sharky and Terry and was only till the end of the season. My biggest concern with Marsch was we put him on a 3 year deal and were lumbered with him in the Championship. The situation is different now. We should be appointing management based on a 3 year plan, a plan which should center around our academy.

He wont be. He will already think he has better tools to make his style work (Winks, Vesty etc).

I don't think any club had the team to play out the back the way he wanted in the PL. The approach was to let the opposition press you like mad and to create opportunities but in the most dangerous ways possible passing about really deep. I've not seen anyone else play this way. Obvs didn't help the whole back line was frail as ***k but i can't imagine any teams succeeding with it week after week. And did it work in the Championship? I still argue they under performed with the squad they had and were bang out of form when they hit the play offs. They were pretty fortunate they met a bruised Leeds team in even worse form.

I would put money on there being a complete absence of any sort of management around the club at the time this all kicked off, and i include the Vestergaard incident in that as well. I'm of course making this all up, but i imagine Ruud was mighty peeved off he got next to nothing of what he was promised, and the club have gone into a self preservation mode which involves largely ignoring him, especially when they realise Ruud isn't the manager they wanted anyway (and i am sure those who realise this don't want to tell Top to preserve their own image). Ruud is a mardy git anyway (and demanding) so takes this out on certain players in certain situations and Winks being the character he is, in the situation he is in, has (maybe wrongly) stood up for himself. Ruud goes off on one and the club do the bare minimum to appease the situation. I imagine the plan will be to dump Ruud, do the whole 'new management and everyone is back in the frame' bollocks and the club will hope we all forget this ever happened.

You can't just learn to be better. You can learn how to be better but the being better required practice / application.

Bookies set odds to balance their books. I would bet ( ) that there isn't really a book to balance yet and I would imagine barely any bookies would take any sizable bets! Really know point taking note of any of this just yet. We don't even know if we are going to be asset stripped yet, or go in quite strong.

Did he make the sign? I was always under the impression it was a piss take from one of the players. The picture i saw he wasn't holding it up. No matter - it wasn't meant to be shown the world and yeah - its not a good look. Regarding overnight facilities - again, we don't know what was asked and why it was declined at that time. We also don't know how Ruud reacted and what steps have been taken since beyond Winks being dropped. Managers dropping players happens all the time (i,e Cags). New managers coming in and sorting the situation out happens all the time (i.e Cags).

And its not been an issue for other players that do it. I don't like it - but there are circumstances involved. I'm not buying into the whole Winks bad attitude stuff. Put a shift in the championship season and was in/out this season. We know Ruud has poor man management skills and i think he's gone in all guns blazing with this one and its all backfired. New manager = reset.
