They come to the party very very late. I would likely guess that this still has a few weeks left in it.

Is he?

Odsonne Edouard joins on loan - Official

Why the heck is this our fault? The thing wrong we did here was take on a loan for too much money where we couldn't send the player back if it didn't work. I remember he came on one game and was terrible and just got in the way of one of Fatawu's shot. If he wasn't good enough, its on him. If he wasn't good enough to get in the palace team anymore - then that's also on him. As a loan player - its on you to impress at a club that does not effectively own you. -

Do you really give a ***k? Noone taking any training now so he will report back when Palace ask him to. He will spend all his ££££ on the sort of holiday you could only dream of and get himself fit and ready to score 10 in the PL next season. -
To be fair, i think anyone on paper would probably feel they could get a tune out of him. Reality always seems to be different though. But beyond just Daka's football abilities there are other issues. He is out of contract end of 2026 so if he stays it will only be to run that contract down. There is more to fix here than just his inability to control a football.

Reputation is very important, and if he is a player on a number of teams radars then they will come for him at his age. After the Liverpool game at home Slot went straight over to him. His performances would have been noted this season.
-
Because when he does his Powerpoint he will be able to point out why it went wrong, and point out why it wasn't him. Then we will talk about the massive transfer kitty he will get. Then it all happens again.
-
People forget we bought Faes on the cheap. We don't have to sell him for a lot in the grand scheme of things.
-
Then we battered them. But you are right, at the time it was definitely softer on here towards Martin. Im going to have to back him and I hope he changes his approach a bit (i don't think he will). Its a worrying appointment as its so obvious, and i am sure the board are convinced that Southampton were the problem and not Martin. The problem i see is that we effectively just replicate what Southampton did last season and nothing really moves forward.
-
And can you not see the 2 issues here? To sell him, someone needs to buy him and he needs to agree to go as well. If we terminate his contract, then we will have to settle it. Maybe both parties can come to an agreement that we only pay 50% of the contract but there isn't a free option to cover a termination, and if i was the player my starting position would be 100% of the contract. If the incoming manager says that this player 100% suits my objectives, then terminating now would seem premature. A lot will depend on if he had a significant relegation clause in the contract which would have meant that for him moving on would be an easier option. To be clear - i'd rather not see him play for us next season either.
-
How to we 'unpay' him then?
-
What a load of crap. I. mean, he's still not great but Coady only started to feature more later in the season and (in my opinion anyway) has been better than Faes or Vesty. I mean, Édouard was utter pants in his 10 minute cameo and wont get a mention.
-
He was good enough when he stepped in for Mads last season.
-
Oh well - resigned to this now. I still think he gets us into the play offs, but there is going to be some depressing moments along the way.
-
Maybe after the Forest FA cup defeat - Brendan realises Ward is never a potential no1 and that instead of throwing the squad under the bus and demanding funds for a refresh, he knuckles down and works the best he can to get the best out of the squad.
-
Yet he's happily played in Rodgers teams for many season, and happily joined him at Celtic where Rodgers continues to play the same style.
-
My sliding doors moment was the Castagne shot at Newcastle. I thought everything aligned for us that game and was convinced that shot had gone in. To your point though - survive that season and we could have survived the next with a points deduction. It was Everton's time to go, and we let them get away with it.
-
I just want to see Fatawu back fit and healthy as a winger.
-
No one want Brussel. Just a few who accept that he will likely get us promoted still. But I would rather pull my toenails out than appoint him, but he probably gets us playoffs
-
I imagine total bets placed already is almost 0 and I imagine you caa as nt out more that a fiver on. Lets wait a little while before getting hung up about this.

Enzo has had 2 good seasons. Deserves to be happy. Has improved Chelsea who had been a basket case for several seasons. The desire to see him fail is odd.
-
Well, they had to dump him to get over the line as he was a big part of them falling apart. But Jakub is a better keeper than Meslier imo.
-
Highlights showed some pretty decent saves. We seemed to defend all game, so not really sure what you want.

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR
Chelmofox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Surely it has to be that Vardy didn't want to spend another season in the Championship. He might only have 1 season left in him. With Daka / Bouba, with xfer fees we really only have to get the amortised value from their contracts. The problem is going to be wages - it someone going to match what we are paying?
