They cant because there is a contract. I doubt Ruud is in high demand right now, but if he speaks to any club there would be have to be talk of paying the settlement figure to break the contract.

Weird take.Top and Rudkin 'managed' Brendan and were accountable for his performance. He didn't make himself too expensive to sack -> he negotiated power at the club and a contract value which was approved by Top / Rudkin. Football people should know what % of managers end up getting sacked. Top / Rudkin were too blinkered to notice it going wrong, and believed the the claptrap Brendan sold them. The club is their responsibility, and Brendan was just somebody employed to do a job. They failed in managing that properly and mistakes they made during Brendans tenure are still hurting us today.

The 2nd goal vs Brighton at home was pretty cool, especially as at the time felt we were having a new manager bounce. Wolves home was the lowest, and watching their manager fist pumping the away fans hurt, especially when the old bloke behind me said 'he'll regret doing that by the end of the season'.
