Just need the O'Rourke bomb now and here we go!!
-
He means when he had a good game for them he played for Brum
-
Well, his scoring record is tripe - so they have that in common. Nonethless I like his jawline so let's get it done.
-
What's Aluko like going forward Ric? Looks imposing physically, could we see him sticking a few in at the back post or is that not his game? Also can he play on both sides?
-
Pressing and with pace to threaten in behind. It stretches team who are pressing us like Birmingham. But if Daka goes and we have Ayew and A N Other striker we are one injury away from Ayew being our only recognised striking option. That can't happen! Bur are we really going to get two strikers in by Monday... neh.
-
@moore_94 has posted it on the Marti C thread, its from Rob Tanner.
-
Can't see him going unless we get two forwards in by our deadline though. Even if we sign that Carranza, it leaves us one injury away from Ayew starting up top and with no ability to really change things at half time. Regardless of ability we simply look better as a team when Daka comes on.
-
If we sign this bloke we will have three strikers on the books who, combined, cover almost every key attribute you'd want in a 9. Other than being able score.
-
What an absolutely diabolical link. Hopefully rubbish, because if true suggests we have learnt nothing.
-
Yep fair points!
-
He looked decent today against charlton.
-
9 i think
-
His highlights reel is horrible, the first comment is 'If this is a warning video to minimise chances of him getting hired...believe me this vid is GREAT.' Certainly bodes well.
-
25 year old Argentinian forward? Yes please. At this stage of the window I no longer care about his ability.
-
Fair enough, happy to stand corrected on that. However, my other points stand. I have no issue with a financial reset and offloading big earners etc. if we really do have a coherent strategy and sound plan. I have little confidence that we do.

Our net spend under King Power isn't particularly high for a club largely based in the Premiership as far as I am aware. We've generally sold to spend. Our wages were ridiculously high towards the end of Rodgers tenure, and of course deserves much criticism. I wonder who was to blame for that? Top's appointees, of course. The lack of direction and sustainability of the club lies with the leadership. Not investing a small amount now to give ourselves the best chance to get back to the riches of the Prem just feels like another bad decision in a long line of bad decisions. And Top was happy to bask in the glory of success. As a leader and figurehead it goes both ways. But yeah let's blame the fans.
-
Correct he also said we don't need to sell now to make signings, not sure if that was post match or in the pre match press conference. That's about as definitive as he's been, previously he's avoided giving any indication. None of this means anybody will come in, of course.
-
There comes a point where surely you think a marquee striker wins us far more points than those we get deducted.
-
I just can't get my head around the club’s lack of business this summer. Yes PSR, cutting our cloth etc. but the money we make by going back up surely warrants chucking a few quid at a striker and perhaps one or two other key positions. Particularly given outgoings. Though trying to understand the inner workings of our glorious leaders minds is probably futile.

Just wanted to say your wife is a very lucky woman - I hope she appreciates you. I know we all like a laugh and a joke but seeing your sensitive side has made my Saturday morning just that bit more special. Take that knowledge with you through the weekend and be proud.

I've never really heard much from him before. Seems like a decent bloke, spoke well on the academy players. Could definitely see him being one who struggles with over thinking and confidence which is where I think Cifuentes can help some of our players. Cifuentes seems to have a real emotional intelligence about him, in the way he speaks about the club, the supporters and the players.

LCFC 2-0 Birmingham, post-match thread

Fair enough, I may well be proven to be wrong. Many people were saying we'd lose last night handsomely. There is far too much fluffing of this league which, broadly, just isn't very good. Or at least is a huge step down in quality. I enjoy it by the way, it feels like honest football but the quality...not so much for me. Had exactly the same last time we were down. I accept we are in a worse position than after our last relegation but provided Marti keeps doing the business I think we'll be fine. We do need a striker. We look far more effective with Daka on but his confidence looks shot and Ayew, just no as a number 9. -

A reminder that, despite the gloomy state of our transfer window, this league really isn't anything to fear. A decent striker in and I don't see any issue with us achieving play offs. If by some miracle we get a couple of others, even if loans then we'll be cooking. It's a tragedy we gave Cooper so much money to spvnk and it looks like there's nothing for Marti. -
Re-evaluate your life.

Announced we are ready to submit a bid. I'm ready to pay for this sausage roll. Well just get your fvcking wallet out and pay then ya massive cvnt.
