Ah my bad I thought Everton were also linked to him at some point -
A page I follow suggests this is a done deal... ...to Wrexham

They had Garner as left back last night and also need a right back. They are desperate. Whether desperate enough remains to be seen -
That's a luxury you have when things are going well. When they aren't, it wouldn't hurt to communicate to fans what actions are being taken to right the ship. Unless of course there is no coherent plan or strategy to communicate.

He was a free agent so nobody saw us coming we did this entirely to ourselves.

The only social media I use is this forum, and that's bad enough at times!

Leeds chairman just on MNF 'we'll spend as much as we can whilst complying with PSR, we will build a new Stadium, when I have got something to say I'll come out and say it and be open'. Yeah maybe they fall flat on their arse but can you imagine Top having the balls to go on Sky and do an interview? He'd be lost without a chatgpt autocue.

We aren't going to get a replacement anywhere near as good whilst in the champ regardless of what we get for him. Hard no. If we have even the faintest hint of ambition left as a club. If the club think fans are p1ssed now, this would take it to another level.

So true, where there is a void fans naturally fill it with speculation and, given recent history, tend to fear the worst. It is such an easy win for the club but - nothing.

Fair play. The one on blue tinted wears a fashion scarf indoors in the summer. Seems the type to be a staunch Rudkin supporter.

Is that the guy that's on Blue Tinted from time to time?

Beat me to it!

Apart from the fact you don't actually know anything, so who gives two hoots how many times you repeat it.

And I think the vast majority do back him. I do find it bizarre that some are already critical of his decision making to the point they are starting to lose faith is him as a manager. We've had two league games and none of us are privy to player performance in training or attitude overall. I don't back managers blindly but there are some very serious squad issues to contend with and he deserves time. 90% of people moaned like fvck at Enzo, Cooper and RVN not being proactive with subs. Cifuentes has been very proactive. He has recognised issues with morale and on pitch performance. Loads of things to moan about but at this point, Cifuentes shouldn't be one of them.

Anyone but Vestergaard. He's a sensational passer between the lines but I am terrified everytime he presses, zero recovery pace.

I agree that might have fixed immediate problems but the rot is far, far deeper than Rodgers. Our recruitment, lack of high quality DoF and blunderbuss approach to managerial selection mean we'd have likely been in very serious decline by now anyway. -
Yes but the crazy thing is three good signings and everyone is lifted. If we can't achieve that then imo the issue isn't PSR, it's an ownership that just don't want to spend now, or can't.

This is one very depressing weekend of football -
I can confirm that nobody on this forum has the first idea. It is all guesswork. People have attempted to do various PSR calculations but it is all complete conjecture. The other variable is whether KP want to put any money in, they may not. I'm afraid we'll just have to wait and see, but it doesn't look good at this moment in time.

Don't think so, which is the most damning thing about it for me. Sticking their oar in when it isn't asked for or wanted. -

Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)

Yep and once the window slams shut he'll have a decision, give it everything and get a move in Jan or next summer or sulk and watch his stock fall. Both his overall character and the firm hand of his overbearing mother suggest to me it'll be the former. I will be livid if we roll over on this deal. -
Having finally calmed down enough to watch Cifuentes post match interview a couple of things encourage me. Firstly, a real, tactical insight into what we did poorly against PNE - a far cry from the vague waffle of Cooper or RVN. Secondly, no shying away that there are issues within the team dynamic. He's not a fool and identifying issues is the first step towards solving them. He needs help from Top though with some new blood.

Yes, just one big target man so Marti could unleash plan B and we'd be golden. But seriously, I really do hope Top recognises that even a couple of signings, and they don't have to be for much money just well scouted, could have a transformative impact. An impact that makes walking the PSR tight rope a bit riskier but I think a risk we must take. I agree with you though, I am not sure PSR is all that's at play. I fear Top is just not willing to put his hand in his pocket at the moment. I will be delighted to be proven wrong.
