Seeing that wispy bonce connect with some headers was an absolute delight tonight. Hope he gets some confidence from that.

But for context the person being 'abused' didn't give a t0ss and carried on posting nonsense. If they are really that offended they can report the posts. I have done so before, about misogynistic bollox that's been posted, and it got taken down. Stevostadium or whatever his name is clearly doesn't care and the mods can't monitor everything.

I didn't even know he was injured, is that why he's not been in match day squads then?
-
I just don't see it, we need incomings in most places but not on the wings.

According to some on here Okoli had a shocker as well. That was a hostile environment at the Valley with no noise from our end. Players showed some b0llocks, I for one will embrace it.
-
That being the case you'd like to think those around him would advise knuckling down, having a strong season and then seeking a better move next summer. Sulking would be utterly counterproductive, so I hope that wouldn't be the route he goes down.

Absolutely. Entirely arbitrary. Now you see City shirts all over the place, commercial revenue they accumulated by 'cheating' (according to current rules).
-
Yeah I've thought similar but don't really know enough about the legalities of the situation

And Coady. -
There's these little packs of polish meat sticks (I call them that anyway, apologies to anyone Polish) that have appeared at my local Tesco. Highly salted. Probably full of MSG. I'm on a a couple of packs a day.

Edited it now, probably reduces the chance it will be disappeared anyway

Violently object is (I think?) violent in the metaphorical sense and well understood to be so. Another more powerful way of saying strongly. If I am wrong I'll happily edit my post! Edit in fact I'll edit to avoid doubt.

I'm sorry Dylan but I must politely request you never attempt a pun again on this forum. Failure to comply with this request will result in a ban.

Where's Skipp? -
Was down in Essex this weekend to see family and Basildon was covered in flags, unsurprisingly. Apart from all the stuff you mention I vehemently object to the English flag being appropriated by the far right. I consider myself a patriot and for all its many faults I'm proud of being British and English and will often spend my holidays at museums etc. exploring that history. To be appalled by the sight of an English flag is something I resent at a base level. Hollow tokenism. Dog whistling politicians like Farage are deeply unpatriotic and would happily sell the entire country to China and retire to the British Virgin Islands (where many of them hide their money as is to avoid paying tax towards...you know defence budgets amongst other things these clowns spank themselves over).

This is exacerbated by the longevity value in the big club brands. It's just not like a normal business, how many years or decades will Manchester United have to be sh1t before they lose global appeal? If that was a normal business being run so incompetently year after year they'd be in serious difficulty by now. Trying to pretend football is somehow a normal business and then seeking to impose some artificial sustainability rules on it is just ridiculous. As you say it creates grotesque outcomes where homegrown talent, like KDH who reportedly didn't want to leave, being flogged off to comply with PSR. Problem with caps is that you'd have to get every European major league to agree to them or players will just disappear to leagues that don't have them.
-
Yep don't disagree with any of that. I suppose I was just pointing out that PSR can stifle ambition and that actually the clubs listed aren't really that ambitious beyond staying in the league, the odd cup run and getting into the Europa league now and then. You're right though, it's not fair to say we were shafted by PSR, although any points deduction would be something of a rogering. I just fundamentally disagree with the league interfering with what clubs do financially and I am very suspicious about actual motivations.
-
Both things can be true. We are badly run and PSR is a crock of shite. Whilst I totally agree about us needing to adhere to a much better overall model and strategy as a club we have still been shafted by PSR. Also, realistically none of those clubs has been pushing for top six. The FA Cup is achievable as a one off. But Palace have absolutely no ambition to break into the top 6, nor do the others realistically being content to be feeder clubs. Villa and Newcastle do have those ambitions and I think overall their transfer strategy has been fairly sound. Yet they are both prevented from accelerating progress by PSR. Meanwhile Manure have been run like a clown show for years yet spend with near impunity because of commercial revenues tied to historical successes and profile. All that said Roger is a pillock.
-
He's also not shying away from these difficulties, dealt with Fatawu's social media post head on. Has spoken about the culture changes needed, the gulf between fans and players. The away end at Charlton was diabolical yet the players ground out a result for him. Absolutely enormous job on his hands yet you've got people on his back from day one 'oh if he picks Vestergaard again huge red flag for me'. Oh give it a rest, I suspect he's picking the few players who are actually showing any buy in to what he wants to do. Let the man have a fair run at a near impossible job.

Neh redsox calculations definitely seem more legit than what you've cobbled together. -
Thanks for that. He really does seem a near perfect fit for Marti’s system. Can drift, acting as an 8, 10, false 9 and comfortable on the wing as well. Seems to be able to unlock defences and bring the best out of other attacking players. Would be a great player for Page to learn from and rotate with.
-
This. Lurching from manager to manager without having a clear plan or philosophy of our playing style, over reliance on managers asks when bringing players in. These two things are as damaging, if not more damaging, than our scouting. It leads to disastrous windows under managers like Cooper. As a double whammy it leaves you with players who don't fit a new managers system as well as old players who are demotivated after being poorly used under the last manager.

Or even agreements in priciple with players and selling clubs. We've seen already how things can happen, even here, when there's a will e.g. Kasey. That said, let's not get too optimistic shall we.
