Years of big staff cuts and 'efficiency' savings which started in 2009 in the first credit crunch. I used to be a solicitor and dealt with them extensively. My aunt was also a senior bod there before retiring. Things were always processed quickly and with minimal fuss back in the day. Registration of a property would be completed with a few days. Ten years on and it took 12 months to register my own house purchase. A straightforward registration of an already registered house. Absolutely bonkers. There simply aren't enough people doing the job any more, combine that with a COVID backlog and Bob's your uncle. Massive delays.

Well, quite a few of them have come forward and held their hands up admitting they were wrong on this thread. So we can probably move on now.

Heckingbottom will be lucky to keep his job. Feel sorry for them really, especially with the week they've just had as a club.

Oops and Gordon scores.
-
This could get embarrassing
-
Plus the amount they earn now not a chance anyone from the top two leagues at least take on the stress and abuse of a reffing gig after retiring.
-
Par for the course, ex players who offer very little beyond stating the obvious.

Yes that's just for the goal line isn't it, he's obviously got himself a bit confused
-
Barnes looks like he's picked an injury up

Always. Each to their own, of course, but we've always rescued, whether dogs or cats. At the moment a dog isn't practical but always feels more of a home with some sort of companion critter in it!

Wow. Saka might want to stop the dart celebration

The wife's been badgering me for a couple of kittens since our last cat passed earlier in the year. As a surprise for her birthday yesterday I took her to the local rescue centre to pick a couple out. The look on her face was worth the crippling vet bills and cat vomit that will soon inevitably be part of my life. I'll post the obligatory cute cat pics once we've collected in a couple of weeks.

Maddison always goes missing in big games...oh.

These. I described the quality of teams in the championship yesterday to a friend as surprisingly terrible. You just don't get punished for mistakes near as often. It's no wonder Burnley dominated the Champs last season but are now really struggling in the prem. The style they, and we, play can be quite high risk which in the Championship you can definitely do imperfectly without getting found out. I don't even think it's physically a challenge compared to the Prem, lots of games yes but nowhere near the pace or strength of the top league. I genuinely don't mean this is an arrogant or disrespectful way but with the squad at our disposal we really should get automatic promotion at a canter. We are equipped (and it seems now coached) far beyond the vast majority of other clubs at this level. It's just a fact and another indicator of how ridiculously dominant financially the Premier League is. Not to take anything away from Maresca who's dealt brilliantly with a large squad turnover and introducing a new style of playing. But it does help (same with blooding youth) when your opponents aren't very good.

@davieG you know what to do

Really enjoying Danny Murphy's MOTD analysis. Oh no sorry, I meant it's dogsh1t.

Apparently carries over to the next league game so cup irrelevant. My source: this forum - so take it as you will...

Ric Flair Live & Direct on BSLB Podcast
Bordersfox replied to Ric Flair's topic in Leicester City Forum
Vardy's sh1thousing of the Bristol City fans rather apt given the discussion around best goal celebrations this week. -
Now you're just flexing son
-
Brilliant. His reaction a split second after he hits it as well is just wonderful, he knows how close that was to going over or hitting the bar. Great little snapshot of the drama of footy right there.
-
Took you an hour to come up with that? Sorry couldn't resist, it'll be the last dad joke on the matter I promise!
-
Ridiculous isn't it, we controlled possession during injury time nicely and I felt surprisingly relaxed until that free kick.
-
I've got family in Bristol and they sound thick as planks with that accent. And they are thick as planks as well tbf. That said I quite like Bristol as a city. I hear it's fast becoming known as the Paris of the South West.

Thought he did okay today but he could have done far better. That's where I agree with you. He's just a whisker, a decision, a pass, a finish away from being a really complete player. His energy and commitment are superb and he's absolutely got a defence splitting pass or a great finish in him. Look, given what Maresca's done with Ndidi I expect KDH to be prime Gerrard before the season is out

Oh lord not the cult hero stuff again. @Col city fan! Mods!
