  1. Aye probably right. That said personally don't think Afghanistan are half as good as people are making out. Very prone to collapses as well. That's a shocker of a result for me. Guess we'll see depending on how they progress and conditions do favour them.
  2. That's the biggest upset in world cup history. Afghanistan have won just one other game in the world cup, against Scotland. They've just beaten the holders. It's going to take some turnaround for England to progress after such a devastating blow.
  3. A good local is a community hub, it will also offer cask or keg beer that you can't get at home. I don't know what pubs you're going to but I don't go to loud pubs, plenty of quiet boozers around. I find I can regulate my temperature with either the addition of removal of a jumper but again I've rarely been to a pub where I'm particularly conscious of the temperature. Seriously though, I go for a bit of an escape with no distractions where I can indulge in the dying art of conversation. I try and avoid pubs with T.V.s or invasive music.
  4. Interesting point. Buttler has looked fairly hacked off behind the stumps throughout the tournament imo
  5. I think he's going to get the runs. Livingstone's form with the bat is a concern.
  6. Making a right old pigs ear of this lads.
  7. Feel for the lad. Horrible injury record. Thank God for Rash though, feel a lot is riding on him in this game.
  8. Nacho's first touch at times
  9. Get Ndidi on for some finesse in the final third FFS
  10. I like the rotation, keeps the players who have featured less hungry knowing they will get given chances, even those like Souttar apparently on the fringe. And reduces injury risk as well with so many games in a short period.
  11. Mowbray is unhappy with the yellow card for Neil gobbing off at the ref. Of course he is! Good lord autocorrect really wants to change gobbing to gobbling doesn't it? Glad I caught that one.
  12. Just a bit. Neil looked like he wanted a red from the outset and he got his wish. Very silly, if Sunderland lose this now it's on him.
  13. All kicking off. Dan Neil put in a very dangerous challenge earlier that half, now he's got himself sent off. Muppets.
  14. I'm not on twitter what are they saying this time?
  15. A mate who goes regularly told me that the beer quality has suffered recently at the Welly due to slower trade, but haven't been myself for a while. Great pub though. Post Office vaults I've always enjoyed but again haven't been for a while.
  16. I did wonder earlier how long until Oz pops up in the how long is my ban thread... If you do get banned again I'm going to report each and every person who posts something political that I don't agree with relentlessly and repeatedly
  17. Cricket mad the lot of them 🙄 Atrocious turnout. Comms trying to pretend the atmosphere is building is also tragic. There is no atmosphere, just be honest about it.
  18. Well said sir! Any City player, or member of their family, reading this forum needs to check out for good. The amount of dross posted here daily is phenomenal, and that's just me.
  19. I'll honestly take this relegation for the reset - new manager, new approach, new personnel, new found positivity around the club - over scraping to safety and another season under Rodgers. KDH is clearly a key player for Maresca and I'm sure he will want to remain part of this project.
  20. Jesus, that's quite some take from one goal celebration 😂
  21. One of the best summaries of a player I've ever read on this forum. If you have the power to gift me three thousand rep points, now is the time to abuse your position.
  22. Cheers, good summary. When we lose our next game I think it's only fair you provide a similar summary of this forums collective thoughts for the benefit of other fans.
  23. I trust Maresca. He's mentioned several times the idea of solving problems. Should we get promoted I hope and believe he will be pragmatic in his approach and will adapt (adapt - not change entirely) our style of play to the opposition when and where required.
