  1. The magnetic pull of a steve cooper second string side.....theyd have to be charging £10 for me to get in the car.
  2. Hermansen Ricardo Coady Vestergaard Thomas Skipp El Khannous BDR Ayew McAteer Vardy
  3. if we drop the 'most regular' culprits of the 'brain farts' that drop us in the shit the team would look more like Hermansen Coady Vestegaard Okoli Ricardo Winks Bouna Ndidi El Khannous Mavididi Vardy for me: Faes is responsible for 7-8 absolutely comically dropped bollocks per season. He did it when we went down and he's doing it again now. I like him as a player but even in his best performances he nearly gifts the opposition a goal. At his worst he pulls the rug on the efforts of the rest of the team when he should be being a leader. Justin has been beaten all ends up about 5 or 6 times in the first 9 games and needs to do less interviews about what a great journey he's been on / england aspirations and more time focusing on stopping crosses into the box. He doesn't stop enough and that's really his only job. Winks only really survives on the basis that he has and should work well with Vestegaard and Ricardo in the middle of the park to help us assert ourself vs bottom half opposition. Buonanotte played great coming off the right vs Bournemouth. It also minimised our exposure to him losing the ball in the middle of the park (which he did a lot against Forest). Can always move inside later for Fatawu on 60 mins if needed. Means we can let Fatawu play 30mins per game for next 10 games and then hopefully kick on in the second half of the season. El Khannous and Ndidi give you two proper number 8's to link things together. EK looked really up for it when we were being done over by Forest which was a good sign. Vardy - because we have literally no one else. Oh, and Cooper out. Not entirely certain who for, but if we move now we get to take our pick of what's available. Corberan, a 31 year old German, Southgate - not bothered, but he's not good enough so we need to put someone in place in order to spend a bit of cash in January. Let's not relive the slow motion car crash of giving Rodgers too long in the relegation season.
  4. 3 very softly conceded goals borne of giving the ball away carelessly on edge of our area x 2 and letting ball bounce in our box from a goalkick x 1. You lose in any league doing that. The lack of a robust leader in the middle of the park when weve spent £40m on two new centre mids is the clubs fault. Cooper manages like a fantasy league manager or fan. Setting up in Enzo's formation as a response to having some confidence from winning 2 games is strange. He purposefully moved away from it for a more pragmatic 433 formation. So he clearly doesnt have a deeply engrained tactical ethos, which will be his undoing. He doesnt stand for anything. That said, without schoolboy mistakes, we would have stood a chance in the game.
  5. they were just better than us in every area of the pitch. faes deserves dropped. too many mistakez
  6. id still.keep fatawu running at moreno
  7. its the first time weve properly tried to play football on front foot. will need to give it time.
  8. we are in that stage where we cant balance defence and attack. need someone to put their foot on the ball.
  9. we are a WIP with lots of young players. plenty of promise
  10. is Coady the Assistant Manager now....
  11. Looked like an OG to me
  12. use mavididi initially and we will expose their overload attempt on fatawu
  13. comedy of errors handing them the goal there
  14. Maybe he wanted some points om the board before we unclenched our collective tactical buttocks.
  15. definitely playing the Enzo formation today.
  16. i can see why cooper has kept the handbrake on. very much like a southgate. if we play the ideal attacking line up and then look shakey defensively (like england did when Carsley came in and played all the number 10s at once) then cooper will get pelters as well. if we play mavididi, buonanotte and fatawu they need to work their socks off to make the shape work.....
  17. Newcastle are willing to listen to offers for 25-year-old English midfielder Joe Willock in January. (Ekrem Konur) would be a great signing if available for the right money. progressive number 8, gets a goal, good pace.
  18. its been said many times, but look at A, how few ties you needed to win to win thr European Cup in the 70s and B, the fact Forest didnt play any of the proper European elite (except liverpool 1st round) to win either cup run. The achievememt is barely as hard as winning the FA Cup and certainly not even in the same stratosphere as winning the current Premier League....
  19. new song for Okoli. works on several levels 'His ceiling is high His ceiling is highhhh Caleb Okoli His ceiling is high'
