how many does Vardy need to get Top 10 all time Premier League?
-
i think Kristiansen will make the runs overlapping which will enable Mavi to come inside more easily if he wants ti get shots off. not bad in theory. I dont mind Ayew on right as long as Fatawu gets 30-35mins. the midfield three i just dont understand, given how it just hasnt worked so far.

Palace vs Leicester - Pre match thread (14th September 3pm)

Here's how we start. Over half the team haven't been at International duty. El Khannous has been playing as a 6 for Morrocco and so whether he is a bolted on 8/10 for us is another question. Could be that he plays as part of 3 in a 4-3-3. Hermansen Justin Faes Okoli Kristiansen Winks Skipp Fatawu El Khannous Mavididi Vardy Ricardo, Coady, Buonanotte, Ayew, Ndidi, Alves, Edouard, Ward -
Now Mahrez is married to Ashley Ward's daughter. Which is enough to make one feel treble old....

Plenty were celebrating Brian Little's arrival with Nicky Platnauer, Kevin Poole and Ashley Ward the month before Matip was even born.....

So, we were taking legal advice during the relegation season, because we actively chose to start not extending contracts and losing players on big wages like Schmeichel. Is there any way that we got relegated on purpose as it was the lawyers best advice on how we avoid the shoddily written rules and bounce back with no penalties? It sounds like a Harvey Specter from Suits kind of play, but would explain A LOT about our extremely weird actions as a club during that period in keeping on a clearly cooked manager for the year, not playing clearly superior players and some of the bizarre behaviour / silence of previously extremely vocal and communicative execs....

So many half decent free agents. Telles is worth a shout you'd have thought. Martial is better than Daka, Ben Yedder likewise. De Lort maybe.

Id move to Coady and Okoli. Faes makes about 5 errors a game. If Okoli is a good enough defender for the Italia squad he will do for me.

Coopers idea is definitely keep us in first halfs, go for it in second. -

It'll be Ayew in from the left, Fatawu in from the right. I like the idea of strength to start and then Goodnight, Canoe and Mavi to throw into the mix later on in the piece. Okoli is for pace against Watkins. Vest would get cooked. -
Skipp more useful as a holder than Ndidi 2.0 El Khannous and Buonanotte arguably could be better attacking midfielders in theprem than Dewsbury Hall was (no performance history in the prem). They are certainly better than we had before the window. Edouard better than Cannon and injured Daka BDR / Ayew are better back ups for wide roles than we had last season with McAteer and Marcal so a good if not spectacular window, particularly considering the issues we have financially and with penalties coming.

Can you believe Newcastle offered £35m for Anthony Elanga! -

The reality is that our strength is in wide positions with Mavididi and Fatawu and so while a striker is needed, i think we will always spread goals across that front 3. hopefully khannous can get everyone firing -

Squad now is at least balanced, albeit our back up quality is not good enough. 5 or 6 injuries particularly up front and in midfield and we are in a really bad way. Hermansen Ward Iversen (Stola) Justin Kristiansen Ricardo Thomas Coady Vestergaard Okoli Faes Winks Skipp Ndidi Choudhury El Khannous Buonanotte Alves Fatawu Mavididi Ayew BDR McAteer Vardy Edouard Daka -

Interesting that Alves and McAteer didn't go on loan. There must have been interest, so Cooper must have wanted to keep them in the squad. -

So ultimately who has got the best deal here. Palace have signed 25 year old Nketiah for £30m. He has scored 38 goals in 168 games for a team that wins more often than not. A 22.6% strike rate. We have signed 26 year old Edouard for nothing who has a 19% premier league strike rate for a team that wins half as much. I don't think that's bad business.
