i think pace is something that we are going to need to rely on. We will sit deep no doubt and so being able to raid with three flyers and a couple of link players is going to be everything.

No one can really describe: Zaha, Mavididi, Fatawu, Vardy, Buonanotte + 1 of the strikers linked as being lacking in pace, skill or threat. I think we will need to move Mavididi into a number 10 if we sign Zaha and they can interchange. He tracks back and can help disrupt deep lying number 6's as he's a pest. In fairness, a 3 of Zaha, Mavididi, Fatwau behind Vardy would be decent. All three put their tackling and pressing shift in. Can imagine Mavididi being a nightmare for a holding midfielder if he sits just in behind him.

If we send Alves on loan theyd better get him on a new deal first.

If we get Carvalho and Fofana we can hope. But we also need a spine. So he needs to decide who his soldiers are and fire them up. If its Hermansen, Justin, Ricardo, Coady, Faes, Ndidi, Vardy Mavi, Fatawu then they need to play 90% of games and properly lay down their lives for the cause. Personally there is more fight in Mavi and Fatawu than 90% of the squad so I'd use that if I were Cooper and put them where they can do the most box to box work they can. They are both good defensively from the front and so if he tucks them in to protect us being done down the middle too often then so be it.
