Notts Forest (H) Friday 25th October 8pm
FosseSpark replied to FoxinNotts's topic in Leicester City Forum
Most important game of the season. Our biggest local rival and a chance for Cooper to stick it to the team that sacked him. He can be defensively solid without ceding the game to the opposition at home. If he doesn't start on the front foot after the turnaround on Saturday he will be sending out a negative signal. So he has to go with the below. Justin has been skipped past one too many times and so it's time for Ricardo. Winks has had his rap on the knuckles now and so i think it's time for him to come back in alongside Ndidi. The front four picks itself, with Ayew, BDR, Billy Canoe available to mix things up if needed and Skipp and Justin if we need to go more defensive. Hermansen Ricardo Faes Okoli Kristiansen Ndidi Winks Fatawu Buonanotte Mavididi Vardy -
his touch and shot against the inside of the post on saturday showed quality you dont see from many players of 20 yo in the league.

Buananotte is scrappy as hell. certainly not soft. The Canoe does look a bit lightweight tbf

i dont think the squad is as good as we are making out. the cracks got papered over at the last minute but we have: great goalie unproven centreback and shit left back strong cdm and first choice wingers 3 x unproven 19 yo playmakers to choose from. 1 fit striker who is 37. id hardly say the squad is ahead of the bottom 6.

Southampton vs Leicester (A) - October 19th

the reason id mix up left back / left side is Tyler Dibling is an absolute livewire. I'd be worried he will have kristiansen on a little danish toasted krispbread with some cream cheese and kapers. -

Herman Ricardo Okoli Faes Justin Skipp Winks Fatawu Buona Mavididi Vardy Ndidi has spent 2 days detained in Libya. No way should he start. Kristiansen was like a lost kid v Bournemouth and Ricardo deserves his shot. Fatawu tore Saints a new one last time he played so should get a start with Buonanotte undroppable. gives us the chance to draw Ndidi and Ayew from the bench to.shore things up without resorting to drastic measures like when choudhury/coady get called on. -
Nations League has made things more competitive for England. We didn't win a single fixture in the Top division late 2022 (Italy 1 defeat, Hungary 2 defeats, Germany 2 draws) before the World Cup, and we've lost to the only good team in the 2nd tier of the Nations League 2024. So arguably the fixtures make for a much sterner test than seeded, dead rubbers that we get in most World or Euro qualification groups. The motivation for Greece in a group of only 4 teams to get one over on us is massive, whereas in a group of 6 or 7 they know that they will likely end up second at best to England. In this format if they beat us once then they stand a really good chance of promotion, and better tournament qualification chances. The alternative is friendlies (impossible to sell for Wembley unless top top nations) in Sept and Nov or just scrapping that whole stretch and having training camps / internal matches to ensure readiness for qualification games - which will never fly as the national game needs money spinners to pay the bills.

he won't be too knackered then

its clear from reports, performances and comments that these 5 players particularly, who played over 80% of maresca games, do not buy into Cooper ball. We only have about 16/17 outfield players who are good enough for the first team and so we cant have a manager whose style alienates 25-30% of the squad.
-
Definitely would be looking to replace Cooper in international break: Fix the roof while the sun is still shining. Make the move first and get a coach whos available before Saints, wolves, everton etc are also in market. would also help us to bring ricardo, winks, vestergaard, mavididi, fatawu back on board as they are clearly not buying CooperAntiFootball.

Leicester City versus Bournemouth Post Match Analysis
FosseSpark replied to StriderHiryu's topic in Leicester City Forum
Ayew definitely started left side of a front two with buonanotte off the right, rather than the analysis of them as 'fluid'. it was pure 442 for most of the first half. -

Hermansen - elite Justin - best player on the pitch IMO. Multiple good blocks and very good assist. Okoli / Faes - strong defensively but no coached plan other than them making it up on how to progress the ball. Kristiansen - out of depth, was begging to be told what to do / replaced. Ndidi - like his old self Skipp - to the loo my darling. off the pace. not terrible but often late to the actiom. Buonanotte great first half. better from the right than as no 10 Ayew - put a shift in. higher floor than Fatawu, but a lot lower ceiling. a good coach gets a tune out of the better player. Vardy - great first half. faded as expected and edouard cant do.what he does even for 10mins. Daka will be a better alt which is horrible to think. Mavididi - got ****ed off playing with VK and had a mardy Soumare. somehow.got on the pitch. there have been more welcome naked male streakers. -
Cher-ly you are mistaken?

good cross with his 'wrong foot' for Justin. He is hit and miss and certainly isn't what i'd describe as a number 10 or 8, but he is keeping some exalted company after six games of the season. -
