Alves loaned to Huddersfield - Official
FosseSpark replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Would live him to get 10 goal involvements and understand his own game / favoured position a bit more. He can then decide if he wants to 'do a Dewsbury Hall' and develop further at Leicester, or move on in a different direction. Always had massive amounts of ability on the ball. -
agreed. get him in alongside his old passing chum Ricardo and play James and Ramsey in front of him and he will be happy as Larry pinging balls through or wide to Fatawu and Mavididi.
-
I agree. Faes is vilified because he's been shit on the pitch, but came on v Sheff Weds and scored the winner, really busting a gut to prove the booers wrong. That's really the only approach that Winks can take to get the fans back on side . Professional pride in performing to his best, even if it's only to prove a point or secure a Jan move to somewhere within a 10m radius of his current house.

Jordan James joins on loan - Official
FosseSpark replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
having watched 2 jordan james compilation videos and seen him when we beat them 3-2. I am convinced he is the second coming of Izzet and lennon combined. he is definitely someone we can get behind more than soumare, skipp and characters like ****ing mendy who was the equivalent of a fifa player if 3 of the buttons available to control his movements had been smashed on the controller. -
if he did, then he wouldnt be in this mess.
-
if he comes on the pitch is doing quite a lot of work in this sentence. the fact he isn't or has been told not to is the reason everyone's having the conversation

Employers should be empathetic to people's personal circumstances and be as flexible as possible. However, if you are in a relegation battle / extremely busy period / new business pitch (delete as appropriate) and you need someone in work on time and fully switched on, then i think it was wholly appropriate to select someone else from the team to fulfil that role if they can more wholly commit to the work than someone else. It's unfortunate as Winks' personal circumstances seem to have clashed with his work requirements, and it's not a very modern POV to hold that against someone. But football isn't normal employment and is grotequely remunerated,, so Winks has to live with it if managers won't pick him because he wants to travel 5 hrs a day and it's deemed this distracts him from being able to perform. The fact its still an issue 6 mths later points to a bigger problem underlying issues with commitment to training / the club.

Now it is time to go and find a sponsor!

I would be tapping up Cif(uentes) to see if theyre interested. Toiletries/cleaning products are always looking for cheap 1+ coverage -
Wout Faes (Besiktas interest, Fabrizio Romano)
FosseSpark replied to jonny_wright's topic in Transfer Talk
He's a bag of shit as a footballer. Literally the laughing stock of the premier league last year. They had sections about how bad he was on match of the day. Denis waterman considered writing (And singing) a theme tune for his comedy pratfalls leading to goals. To say he is one of the best footballers in the Championship is simply not true. For 75 minutes of a game he may well be but he will always chuck in some absolute brainfarts (2 passes right their player and 1 comedy fall over), which will cost us against good teams, particularly if he is playing half heartedly as he will be if he doesn't get a move he wants. And on that basis - i'm Wout. Sorry - Out -
So how are we all feeling now the window has closed.
FosseSpark replied to Suzie the Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
I would definitely be offering Michael Antonio a short term deal as he gets back to fitness. 30mins of him every game could help give Monga, Fatawu, Mavi, James, Ramsey something to play off. Even if the man is 75% of what he would be a force as an option off the bench in the champ. -

Reverse the polarity, Marti! -
justin and mcateer are correct with add ons

Our best players in each position, with the evidence of previous performance and transfer fees that the loanees have commanded by their parent clubs. Stola GK Ricardo RB Faes CB Vestergaard CB Kristiansen/Thomas LB (impossible to separate) Winks DCM James RCM Ramsey LCM Fatawu RW Mavididi LW Ayew ST That, for me, is clearly our strongest line up, playing the type of progressive football with two ultra wide wingers, full backs staying home/tucking in in possession and two 8's (James and Ramsey) with Winks acting as a pivot. SImilar to Enzo Ball but not the same. It contains 6 of the key starting players from HMS Piss the League, when in reality we didn't rely on a striker for most of our goals and assists, which came from KDH, Fatawu and Mavididi. We need James to really kick in the KDH role and Ramsey to do the same for the Ndidi/Casadei/Akgun role. as there's a circa 30 goal involvements hole with those guys missing That leaves space for Monga, Page and Evans to provide the sort of unknown factor off the bench that we didn't really have that season. Okoli, Soumare, Monga, Page, Skipp, Choudhury, Carranza all CLEARLY have a shout to step in in their respective position and have already contributed this season. Fail to see how Daka adds anything to this type of team unless we change style of play fundamentally.

Give him the squad number 40 and be done with it.

Julián Carranza joins on loan - Official
FosseSpark replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
yeah. feels like if Ramsey and James are in attacking midfield there's room for us to risk Evans at striker for some games. Whereas if you have Monga / Page and Evans at the same time it's a bit much. -
Everyone hated Woyo - gone Hardly anyone rated McAteer - £14m We won two games after dropping El Khannous and Page in instead - £30m pending Justin was slated all last season - £10m Coady was branded a commentator - £2m Ward and Iversen written off by all - jettisoned. Hermansen - cashed in on in favour of Stolarzcyk who has performed well Monga Page Mavididi Fatawu retained i would say 60% swamp drained and 2 young midfielders in to add quality and a bit of energy...
-
Keeping Fatawu, Mavididi, Monga, Page means we have more go forward than 14 or 15 of the champ teams. James and Ramsey add quality. Both very well thought of and have commanded £18m in transfer fees. The season might depend on if Cifuentes can motivate Faes, Kristiansen and Winks and if Carranza suddenly decides he is Joel Piroe.

Two fairly equally matched 11s we could field now. Which i think constitutes a balanced if shit squad. Begovic Choudhury Faes Nelson Kristiansen Skipp Soumare Ayew Page Monga Daka vs Carranza Mavididi Ramsey Fatawu Winks James Thomas Vestergaard Okoli Ricardo Stolarzcyk + Bausor Aluko Evans Marcal Souttar Reid -

FosseSpark replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
the videos of Carranza absolutely stink. Touch, pace and shooting all look absolute shite even in his highlights reel. -
i think this leaves us with: Choudhury Skipp Soumare James Page. So 5 competing for a midfield 3 if we have only signed James on loan and not Ramsey aswell. Fatawu Monga Mavididi Marcal Evans competing for winger positions. So 2 injuries away from disaster Carranza Ayew Daka competing for striker position. Which is to say no strikers.
