Premier League Thread 2023/2024
Fear Of The Fox replied to Nalis's topic in General Football and Sport
Exactly. Suddenly now their enemy is FA, Premier League and aliens from Andromeda. They're preparing chants, banners, they're even fighting with each other about the chants. This toxic environment will affect their players tommorow. Red cards incoming. -

It looks like some Everton fans have now realised their team is in a bigger trouble than they thought initially. They're now calling for reduced points as an outcome of the appeal. They have underestimated the situation believing that all the other teams are totally crap. I was sure Luton will start picking up points and I'm sure Sheff Utd will do the same. Everton's schedule until new year is nightmarish. -
Yes, I understand this but because of the nature of this league I'm not yet convinced we can easily run away with it. We're two classes above but I'd rather have all the others chasing desperately 2 teams than 1.

Watford (H) 25 Nov - Post-Match Thread
Fear Of The Fox replied to lnkstern's topic in Leicester City Forum
About our fans moaning/complaining on the match thread: It's totally understandable for me, I don't mind it all. The only thing though I don't understand is some posts disrespecting LEGENDS like Vardy. We can complain about tactics etc, I personally respect everyone's opinion but I would really like to keep players like Vardy out of this. -
Why do you guys want West Brom to win? Do you want all the other teams to be more motivated and have hopes for an automatic promotion? Can't really understand it. We need us and Ipswich to run away from all the others, crash their hopes, put more pressure to them mentally.

It's Luton they need to catch up not Burnley. -

Chelsea is a very entertaining team to watch but their defensive unit is a joke. In other news Everton are in a biggest trouble than others believe. -
Rooney's last game? Who's next as Birmingham manager? John Travolta, Bono or Jennifer Lawrence? Place your bets.

Why 6pts? If all the other results go their way it could be 5pts unless I'm missing something here. -

It's shocking that ManUtd might be only 5pts from 1st by the end of the weekend. -

The rule is clear regarding GK interference. It was a foul. -

Anyone knows why these players don't shoot when they have the opportunity? They're always looking for a pass in the 6 yard box, it doesn't make any sense to me. Liverpool had at least 3 clear shooting opportunities so far. -
Some fans (including ours) are finding now (!) that the sport is corrupted to the core. The proven corruption in FIFA/UEFA pyramid wasn't enough for them to realise that. These football teams are run by rich businessmen, they're milking everything, we're talking about companies. "Oh, it's just £20M", "Oh, -10pts is harsh".. Really? If it was your own company the government would have ripped you to pieces. I understand there's a difference because of the nature of the sport and the social impact but blindly supporting corruption isn't fair and good imo.

League One & Two - 2023-2024 Season
Fear Of The Fox replied to Wymsey's topic in General Football and Sport
Yes, defensive line is all over the place. Midfielders not covering also the runs, it's like watching Man Utd. No wonder you've conceded more goals than 23rd Forest Green. -
Here's one of the hundreds of articles regarding the Everton's situation. This one is from December 2021: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10267415/Everton-splurged-500m-players-Farhad-Moshiri-waste.html They knew they were in trouble and they kept on breaching the rules to gain advantage on and off the pitch.

What's your prediction this season? Stockport, Mansfield and Notts or Wrexham for automatic promotion? -
It's tricky but don't forget our board made statements which were the complete opposite of the Everton ones. We didn't strengthen our squad because we were following the FFP rules. It would have been easy to spend more and wait after a couple of years for sanctions either fines or points deduction. Everton didn't get that much of an advantage eventually on the pitch but this is also down to their unsuccessful recruiting system. The fact is they tried to strengthen their squad, they were open about it and by results they managed to stay up in our expense. Before I get misunderstood, I'm not saying we didn't make any mistakes but I'm talking strictly about the case. BR being stubborn or the board being complacent and indecisive are irrelevant aspects to the case.

It won't be easy but our legal department can prove Everton's liability by gathering also some statements/interviews of their board members. There's an interview of Everton's owner saying he's aware of the team's financial situation but they need to spend more despite the FFP to strengthen their midfield. I have gathered also myself 3 more statements where it's clear they were breaching FFP rules to strengthen their squad to survive in the PL.

10pts is a fair deduction. I don't know why you're all thinking Everton will not struggle. Their next game is against ManUtd. It's Luton vs Palace and SheffUtd vs Bournemouth. They're going to Forest 2nd of December and the same day it's Burnley vs SheffUtd. Some of you are more optimistic than Everton fans.
-
Exactly. They knew they were breaking the rules and they knew that by breaking these rules would keep them in top flight with extra revenue, otherwise they would be in League One now or at best case scenario trying to build a team of youngsters to survive in Championship. This is one of the arguments our legal team must present in the future court hearing. Imo there's also a civil case here and a criminal one for fraud for anyone involved. As I said earlier this case is way more complex and the media are trying already to brainwash people to believe it's just a minor case of a company breaking financial rules.
