As it stands the case of Everton is interestingly more complex than Man City's regarding a potential compensation. Don't forget that Everton didn't, judging by results, benefit heavily on the pitch side of things. Yes they avoided relegation but their lawyers will claim it was by a small margin meaning the team was still not good enough. The court will rule a certain amount of compensation for all teams involved and this possibly will be set by arbitration. Man City case is more clear to me. They'll either get relegated or have a bigger deduction of points by the end of the season. Probably the latter. There's no way imo they take away any trophies/titles. Man City will be forced to compensate mainly Liverpool. If the case was in my hands and a I was a judge I would go with a -18 points from next season. Staight relegation of Man City as a disciplinary action will have an impact on Championship.

As a lawyer myself I'm certain Everton's lawyers will put the pressure on to FA regarding Man City's case (and Chelsea's). They even have the legal grounds to present the argument during the appeal's hearing. Just a heads up: European (Spanish, Italian and French) sports journalists are now certain both Man City and Chelsea are getting relegated or at least having a huge amount of points deducted by the end of the season.

Isn't it irrelevant though? They have a certain disciplinary action against them and as it stands they are bottom of the table alongside Burnley. Their team is quite weak also. In addition, their players will feel more pressure and teams around them gain some hope of survival. I understand they have more chances staying up because there are 3 teams there which are worse but there's another status now within the league. -
I'm struggling a bit to understand some posts from fellow fans. Let's look at some facts: - Were we good enough to stay up last season? Debatable. Probably not. - Why we weren't good enough? 3 main reasons. Firstly, BR "tactics". Secondly, inability of the board to make crucial decisions on time. Thirdly and as important, we had to stay strictly within these ridiculous FFP rules while the board/ownership knew that other teams were breaking these rules heavily. According to some of our fans we need to keep being the Mother Theresa of English football. We also need to support Everton and stay away from any class lawsuit because next to our training centre we have a state-of-the-art field full of money trees.

Best half of the season so far. Man City is very vulnerable when teams find a way to string 3-4 successful from the back. Cucurella is a liability but I don't think they have another option for a LB, only Maatsen who is even worse especially in passing. -
What do you mean by struggling? The guy isn't a manager. If Rooney is a manager I'm Brad Pitt. Unfortunately though they're not giving me any roles like Rooney.

I hate to be that guy but... I said Spurs are not even getting a point today. Overrated team, they only have Son and Madders, their defense is a joke, Dier is League Two quality at best. They'll finish 8th if they're lucky. -
Don't worry. There's not a single thing that makes sense in this team. Their owner will make an offer to Scarlett Johansson for the manager position tonight.

I'll be very surprised if Spurs manage to get something out of this game. -

Good luck to them finding a decent CB in January. There are no quality CBs in the market. Varane has major problems with ETH and rightfully so as he was picking Evans in front of him which I find extremely bizarre. ETH is like BR, very stubborn without a proper reason. Spurs 1-0 up, some players are brain dead especially defenders, 2 players marking a single one on the edge of the box. -

It's like groundhog day with these red cards. 😀 I'm again in the minority saying this should have not been a red. It's red ofc going strictly by the rule but I really don't like where the sport is heading now. Rashford tried to cover the ball with his body. -

It doesn't matter. He's already won the Scottish Premiership by November... -

Yes, can't argue. It's a red card by the rule. -

True but there wasn't any intention to go that high. He slided a lot and the impact wasn't hard. I've seen worse in the 80s and 90's. The sport is becoming too soft imo. In other news the Golazo Show guy called Leipzig Leicester because of the LEI on the scoreboard. 😀 -

Because the majority of people have no clue about anything in life and they're on a social media auto pilot jumping into any bandwagon presented to them. This tactic was ridiculous and completely wrong. It might have been more effective if the old offside rule was still in place (1st phase offside rule for the goal scorer). Spurs are lucky this one ended only 1-4. Even against Wrexham it would have been 1-9 and it would have been double digits against Man City unless the opposition went into fair play mode. If I were Chelsea's chairman Pochettino would have been out of the team after the final whistle and Sterling in the transfer list. And I'm going to play FM 24 tonight because I feel wiser. 😜 -

Even though his high line D with 9 men decision looked brave, it was a bad one imo. Chelsea was already exposing Spurs defensive line in the 1st half under 11vs11 utilising their pace. A 9 men behind the ball with a compact low block inside and outside the box would have been a more optimal approach/tactic. Sterling and Mudryk are awful when it comes down to final third decisions and passing. Ange needed to slow down the game. He did the exact opposite. -

They had to order more kebabs and pizza. The previous ones got cold as they were busy checking the replays. -

This is another big difference between managers like Guardiola and Pochettino. Pep would have been furious with his players at the final whistle. Their 2nd half was embarrassing. -

I can't understand why they've changed the offside rule. Jackson came from an obvious offside position in the initial phase which eventually gave him the advantage to score as he managed to be miles away from the defender. It doesn't make any sense to me, it's unfair imo. -

Highly unlikely. Chances are 1 in a million at this level. It will end 1-3.
