At least the world is back to normality when you read this type of post. Thomas is my least favourite player at the club, that oddly includes Faes too. Stolen a living as a professional footballer.

Puel was not my favourite but that’s harsh comparing him to Martin. History will be kind to Puel, it definitely won’t for Martin.

Matt Reeves and his team surviving back to back relegations when we’ve looked so unfit, is another huge stain against Top/Rudkin. An insane thought process, we were better conditioned 18 years ago under Pearson (he was a pioneer for sports science) yet with medical advances, we’ve somehow managed to go backwards. Madness and one of many reasons to at I actually hate everything about us right now!

This is the reason that “commendable transfer window” thread really grates on me. We’ve got too many players of the same ilk with no athletic players other than JJ/Aluko and potentially McFarlane! Awfully Put together squad with money wasted on Martin’s mates too.

I remember that evening very well. I took a few non LCFC mates with me and the whole journey home was about how unfit we looked. I remember staying until the end just to loudly boo, which felt cathartic at the time. Yesterday was still a much poorer result/performance though, league one and against a side that has a transfer embargo.

If the opposition team scores first, we become embarrassing messes. We already have very little shape, but we then seem to be even more loose with our positions, whilst being static and easy to play against at the same time. We must be one of the easiest teams in the EFL to play against?

Top post mate! I’ve been saying about us never replacing Ndidi and it’s painful how easy it is to score against us. Then you throw in, how toothless we are = recipe for disaster.

This hasn’t been commented on enough. He was a statue (again) for their first goal. Awful defender, who only has a slightly better profile than Faes because he was either shipped out or injured. We should have moved him on, when we had the chance.

Absolutely spot on. Imagine having a hard on for a manager that was humbled twice by Enzo. The signs that a Martin team can get humiliated at home were there for all to see. Didn’t we have an aggregate of 9-1 that season against them?

@Ric Flair please don’t hold back on the negativity but to provide a different approach and as you’re head of guest relations. Have you ever considered getting someone like that Dominic Wells on, to hit home all of Martin’s flaws and shoot down any of the people moaning about yours/Jords’ negativity?

The problem with threads like this is that it’s been so avoidable and sadly predictable. Examples of it being obvious from the get go, yet we have ploughed on are countless, but here are a few - Appointing Cooper (straight after Enzo was madness) and bringing in Martin when the toxicity within the fanbase is at an all time high….even more madness. All signings are gambles but look at the fear of most sane posters on here when we were linked with Ayew, Cullen to name a few. Promoting Rudkin when he’s overseen our fall from such a position of power- again adding to the toxicity. Just a few of many examples where Top and co had a choice and some how, consistently make the worst one.

That’s my point. Martin has an obsession with a style of football but he doesn’t embed tactics that make it successful. Enzo football was far from ideal but you could see so many consistent patterns of play that created chances. All you have to do is look at how many times you’d see KDH/Ndidi offer those runs inbetween Vardy/underlap Stephy/Abdul. Another example of a manager with a similar style but clear tactical tweak, De Zerbi at Brighton was the prime definition of bait and press….you would see Dunk as an example do it at CB because he could plus he had players off/around him creating box/triangles etc. Martin does what any Sunday league coach would do and just says to pass it around the back and hope that one of their players tries pressing on their own/poorly.

Without sounding like a broken record, but so many issues with Russell and our transfer window. Even with Lundstram, we have no mobile enforcer who will protect are very mineral back 4. We have zero outlet, I appreciate that we often play with the opposition playing a low block but every game so far, there has been pockets of space to break into, yet because we either owned or then added physically slow players, we are so predictable to play against. Topping it off with too many passengers such as Burns, Reid etc. I haven’t been able to keep up with the posts but has anyone else questioned our complete lack of coaching?

The issue with Sammy, both games where we’ve been easily turned over at home and you have to question his involvement. It’s more of a tactical issue than a Sammy issue but a club with the budget etc, should not be getting pumped 4-0 at home by Oxford.

Has the Luke Thomas love in ended yet at least?! Our standards have dropped so low, in recent times…..there were numerous comments on Thomas not being completely disastrous, like that’s a good thing. He’s 10 years younger than me and a professional footballer but I honestly think that I’d beat him in any physical metric possible! Charlatan of a footballer!

We have such mentally and even more importantly physically pathetic dossers, newbies too. Oxford’s players looked so much more physically up for any fight! It’s why, like others who disagree with the OG poster, such an obvious area that we’ve just ignored to get in Russell’s mates.

He threw his players at Rangers under the bus, extremely early by all accounts. He has to not protect his ego/any of the players after today. Can we also, please stop the nonsense of “we’ve had a good transfer window!” We’ve replaced old dross, with slightly cheaper, old dross!

A deflected goal and Plymouth then lay their heads. Them not scoring was the anomaly too.
