Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
SafewayFox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Agreed, he had to go BUT Rowett has been horrendous. His odd obsession with “experienced shit” is Cooper levels of strange. I actually think Ruud would have been a better appointment after Enzo, he had standards at least and didn’t tolerate Winksy being a whiny rat. -
For an experienced and slow CB, he goes walkies up the pitch a lot doesn’t he? How many goals have we conceded this season because of him doing it!!
-
He is so bad on the ball, what do they do all week?
-
Imagine the image of the moronic dosser in his “JR” Leicester tracksuit, somehow not be one of the worst ten things that he has done? What a dislikable bloke!!
-
Does it even matter anymore? We will likely sack him by March without another manager lined up. Ohh, and they’ll play 4231 when the squad’s limitations suggest that they shouldn’t.

Relegation, League 1, financial implications

I should have probably said that I know they don’t have the money that they once did but hasn’t it - 1) Reports that there has been a pretty big turnaround with their finances, largely to do with the Chinese tourism going back to pre-COVID numbers. 2) Weren’t there rumours about some outside investment not that long ago? -

Another silly question but can we not sell Seagrave to King Power? Chelsea did it, haven’t a couple of other PL clubs also done something similar? -
In a world of AI, just ask Co-Pilot what 11 of our heinous players are least offensive. Filter in the dreadful running stats and just play players who can run, would be an improvement TBF!

In really simple terms, with Top being a stubborn moron and not selling/looking for investors. Is there a way that we actually survive financially? -
The morning after the night before

This 100% I thought that I was at that stage in my life where football/Leicester doesn’t impact my mood anymore. Yet, here I am, raging today and the fact that we will see no changes and “bad cop” Rudkin will be left in charge of this mess boils my piss. -
Will they actually bin off Matt Reeves as our “fitness” coach? That would make me a little bit happier, most unfit team in the league!!
-
Exactly this. He is the poster child of a nepo baby isn’t he? If we were really in this together, he rips up the current regime and gets in football people, which he won’t. Oddly enough, I was actually angrier on Saturday than I am tonight.
-
Our players are heinous but look back at their reaction when scored that equaliser against Wrexham. The players weren’t having him and had downed tools. At the beginning of the season, our abject performances were for everyone to see (our stats were hideous under him) but was bailed out by JJ/Abdul’s wonder strikes.
-
With Winks’ contract extension being triggered. From an amortisation PoV, does that count or could we let him leave for free to join another club? I’m clutching but thinking of realistic ways that we can get rid of dossers like him, Jannik and many, many more!!
-
Not sure that this is parody or not? Look at what fans at other clubs have done this season alone. No-one is condoning violence but telling this group of mercenaries that they’ve been an embarrassment is hardly crossing the line is it?
-
100% this. We needed a Huth and we ended up with this!
-
How long ago was his big “premiere”? We’ll be lucky to get even close to £20m for him now!
-
Fraud. Genuinely would love to know what you have to do, to get a gig at Leicester? Kiss Rudkin and Top’s arse?
-
The players are hideous but when a manager keeps picking the same group of failures, that’s on him. Would Aluko in 2026 not be an upgrade on Ricky P, at least the lad can run all day. Rowett’s late and reactive substitutions will always be a big blot on his short time here too.
-
What do these heinous dossers practice all week? I came home and put the TV on a few minutes before they scored. Had it on the radio and TalkSport were going in on the players/manager. I don’t want to see ANY of the players/manager/coaches (including Kingy) ever again after the Blackburn game.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
SafewayFox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I appreciate the differing opinion TBF. Ruud and Cooper were/are awful managers but I am trying to highlight the fact that Cooper was a dreadful appointment at the time. His obsession with “PL experience” and the signings that he was heavily involved in, set us back. When you reference the “club” signings of Winks, Coady, Cannon and Stephy - we actually broke even (even made a small profit on Cannon), Coady we again broke even on. However, Ayew has become one of the most despised players amongst a group of heinous mercenaries, Skipp will be a heavy weight around our necks and those signings DO NOT happen under Enzo, so for that I blame Cooper. -

Comparing Enzo signing Coady, it was pretty well reported that the club signed him and Winks as “leaders” which is farcical when see how that panned out. Cooper however publicly stated “PL experience” countless times. He even managed to mutter that about Facundo. Cooper had one of our biggest transfer windows and he set us back even further. -

We’re on the same page about agreeing that they’ve all been awful since Enzo. Yet you’re wildly missing my point, Enzo wanted Sensi, that was NOT an agent or club signing. Cooper was heavily involved in Ayew and Skipp (potentially Reid too), that’s £30m and HUGE wages on 3 players with zero re-sale value/honking attitudes (especially in Ayew). Sunderland on the other hand signed Sadiki and Brobbey for a similar amount. I know which two players that I’d prefer to have in my squad. -

I hate that there from a select few seem to have a very odd revisionist view of Cooper. We had a nucleus of a squad that could have performed much better, a like for like replacement for KDH was the obvious option but Cooper lumbered us with some of the worst transfers possible. We haven’t been able to spend money since, so the last manager to have a sizeable budget was him…hence my dislike of his short time here. -

I love how you ignored my other posts about Cooper but here we go. We have proven to be lazy in almost every aspect of the game/business. This can be reflected in us signing players based on agent or manager recommendations. Examples of this - Jannik has said that Rodgers personally reached out to him, there are probably countless more (Bertrand had links to his son from memory). We were only looking at Sensi due to Enzo. So on that basis, it’s fair to say that Ayew and Skipp (nearly half our budget) with zero resale value were down to the clueless Cooper. Hence why I say that he has hurt us longer term to Ruud, Marti and Rowett.
