As others said, way too early to comment on the success of transfers, especially considering some haven’t even kicked a ball for us. My biggest concern is the lack of athleticism/pace within the squad and that should have been addressed as part of the squad refresh.

Great points, I think professional keepers (especially Prem) expect more protection though, so probably don’t have the same thought process that Sunday league level keepers do. Their striker was never getting to the ball and simply “left one on him”. I hate VAR but reckon that the obvious big injury (easily avoidable) would have made VAR look at it, was completely unnecessary and reckless. I’m sure that he was also late a couple more times before getting subbed off too, dosser!

He probably didn’t expect their thug of a striker, to leave one on him TBF. I know that it’s a contact sport, but he had no right going for that ball as he was never getting there before Jakub.

Even with a pretty tepid start (performance and results wise), JJ has been one of our biggest positives. I’ve said it on other threads but can see him making us more profit than Alves or Sammy.

I’ve been super critical of the club and players but regardless of the level, players enjoy winning matches. If we play as we should and start picking up points, we might actually end up being a club where players want to be.

Aslong as Martin is braver than Marti and others. Page and Braybrooke should be our starting CM’s with a 10 or added defensive CM depending on the opposition. I don’t actually mind this signing, as long as he’s on League One wages rather than bottom end PL ones.

If smug is a weird word, I’m glad that you didn’t sit with me when rant about us recently. I merely used that word as have had people on here say things like “you have to give players time etc etc” Completely ignoring that Cullen is 27 and played professional football for what 8/9 seasons? I actually agree with that sentiment on a Bristic type signing but I’m just bored of how certain people think that you can’t have a negative opinion on a player before they sign for us.

I think the result flatters most of the team’s performance. Thomas’ praise is based on him being so poor at LB, for so long. All that I’ve taken away from the first batch of League One games, the finishing is even worse than I remembered.
