Jake Evans at 16/17 is far from a better player than Ferguson. Living on the south coast, it’s fair to say that Ferguson has definitely had an injury hit/poor loan at WH in the last 12 months. But, he was genuinely being heavily linked to quite a few of the “so called big 6” before this poor patch. Comparing him to Edouard and Reid is hyperbole at best.

Will he though? Fair to say that it didn’t work out at WH. From his own development/Brighton’s, scoring 15/20 goals for a side chasing promotion is surely better than playing in a struggling PL side?

He needs a loan as won’t get minutes at Brighton, which is madness as 18 months ago he was being touted as the next £50/60m sell for them. It makes so much more sense to join us on loan than a promoted PL club. My biggest fear is that Ipswich have their 5hit in order and he’d be an obvious replacement for Delap.

It’s still Evan Ferguson on loan for me.

Fair point. It would just be nice to have a manager and hear from them and their ideas too. It’s an improvement from photos of Hamza though. I think the lack of manager didn’t bother me until these videos popped up, hence the mini rant.

Maybe, I should have phrased it better. It just highlights how much of a shambles that we are that they’re having to resort to someone who is not our manager talking about pre-season. Go back two years, Enzo was in situ and his ideology was exciting. Southampton are announcing signings in a relatively decent way, yet we’ve got our first team sport scientist talking about our 60 minute 11’s.

Is it just me that’s annoyed at LCFC posting a clip from our “first team sports scientist” about our approach to tomorrow’s friendly? The club are trying to normalise our set up and makes me hate everything about the club right now.

Counting his money whilst forgetting that he’s a professional footballer?! I know it’s just a job to them but his lack of apparent care about missing international tournaments due to not playing regularly is sickening.

Coady is slightly more likeable than Faes and Jannik. Sadly, the bar for the other two is ridiculously low.

I know you said that tongue in cheek but it’s so true isn’t it? Our whole wage structure needs to go to an incentive based one. I also struggle to buy into the “agents know what other players are paid” lazy line, Dunk at Brighton is their highest earner due to what he’s done for the club. They don’t then have players only signing if get paid similar wages to Dunk.

Enzo was a massive punt and paid off. Cooper was a known quantity for being very, very average and it turned out that way (at best). Out of curiosity, who would you like to take over?

Or look at it from a competency basis. Iversen’s departure would have been 100% profit, there have been countless times that Rudkin has had an unrealistic value of our players…..look at our transfers out, we just don’t shift average players. Iversen was deemed not needed but rather than make whatever profit, we let another player leave for free. Here’s the kicker….all whilst he didn’t make a single appearance for us too (since some of the offers came in).

Sorry but that’s complete revisionism! Look at the match day squad lists, Stephy and Facundo were both on the bench during that period. Cooper was awful but Ruud was even worse, I can’t believe some of the tripe about “feeling sorry for him” is being posted on here. There have been less equipped PL clubs who didn’t break the records that we did under Ruud.

People on here have very short term memories. When Ruud was “trying” to stop the rot of consecutive home defeats with no goals, he persisted with a front three of Vardy, Ayew and Reid when it was obvious that neither three could run anymore. (Sorry JV for putting in you that list but it’s true). He had an opportunity to build a siege mentality within the group when he exiled Jannik and Winks yet was more interested in cosying up to opposition players at the end of the game. He was tactically inept and showed zero hunger or fight IMO.

Randomly, I remember me and my wife arguing whether Enzo was or wasn’t good looking. I obviously was in the “he pulled off his blazer well” camp.

Couldn’t agree more. Social media has changed society more than anyone could have ever predicted, would anyone 10 years ago ever considered paying to watch two YouTubers box terribly!? Throw in the fact that everything has been pretty much doom and gloom associated with LCFC or KP for so long. Your simple (yet effective) ideas don’t only show a glimpse of positivity but would attract so many more “clicks” than a photo of Reid training with the Jamaican squad.

Wasn’t there an offer on the table from Palace though? Coady is on a very large wedge and we’re hopefully shifting him on. With their relegation clauses, a more shrewd DoF would definitely be better at moving players on.
