His profile of player fits what Enzo wants from his 8’s. Box to box, capable defender inside and on the wing, good stature, decent in the air can, play off both feet, can make runs into the box and finish. I make him sound better than he is but as loan’s go it’s a good one. He could help us back up and we reinvest next season into a better quality of 8 on a permanent when our finances are healthier. Very much agree though regarding developing our own and I would rather us get someone in on a permanent, and if they have the quality then that’s the ideal scenario of course.

I still believe Archer is firmly on the radar, I read a while ago Emery was going to look at him in pre season and make a decision then regarding a loan/ sale. Means we’ll have to wait as I don’t think he’s back. I can’t imagine him getting close to their side as their getting another winger this window and you’d think they’d need to raise some funds for FFP with their spending. If it’s true we’re getting Giles off the left, Archer coming in from the right would make sense.

He’s made for that 8 position I’m really disappointed that this doesn’t look to be happening.

Good deal considering the circumstances, amazing finisher but offered precious little else and was a passenger in far to many games. I’m not sure if we’ll invest it well in wingers however. I think he will thrive at Newcastle playing off Isak.

Somebody has a firm agenda against singing wingers. If this goes through, Enzo wants KDH running the inside channel all game long then and I’m here for it.

I like Souttar a lot but I don’t like the idea of him on the right of that three. With how high a line we’re going to play, I feel he’d get caught out more than Faes in the wide area that Ricardo steps out of. Id love him in the middle but Coady has that position locked and rightly so for now. He looked like Dunk at Brighton yesterday, stood still, studs on the ball drawing the man, it was good to watch.

As much as I’d love him, I don’t know why he’d pick us over Burnley for a 1 year loan. The Premier League is where you want to play and Kompany will be trusted to manage him. Hoping though that Burnley sign Tella, that opens the door for us. He’s too good for the Championship. I love his arrogance on the pitch, it reminds me of Maddison when he was at it.

Just a quick look but a lot of the Danish seem to think he’s too good for the championship, so based of that I’ll take him. I remember looking at Soumare, came with big fanfare from a lot of people, but then I saw a few Lille fans saying he’s lazy. It’s always the fans that know.

I’m just blindly hoping we’re still trying to negotiate a purchase rather than a loan, but I’m sure it’s a much less exciting reason than that. Read somewhere Rudkin drives such a hard bargain that it draws these negotiations out and Whelan regularly has to step in to get it over the line.

How many outgoings are you still expecting ? It doesn’t look like the squad turn over/ rebuild will be as big as first thought. Do the likes of Ndidi and Faes look to be sticking around ? Seems like Nacho will go.

Hearing/ reading a lot of good regarding Willy. Chelsea, Man City and Saints fans all speak highly of him as a Man. Hopefully can make the step into being the second man in charge. He’ll be hungry and willing to prove himself in that roll, and we need people like that at the club right now.

Id take him for 5 million with one year left. He would do well in the championship and he’s English and home grown which is always bonus. He’s not going to be a top prem player if we get back up but that’s fine not all can be. Im absolutely all for signing younger players with a higher ceiling, but they’re always a risk. Im very mindful we need players that can come in and can hit the ground running and him coming from the French League, notoriously physical and quick, he could do that in the Championship. >8 is good business. I would like us to sign some young ballers that have never played first team football but have silly stats in youth football now though, we’ve waited years. Sensible business is never that exciting.

I really should be much more sad about this but I just never warmed to him. Even pass his house on the way to work. Just seemed like he didn’t care most of the time. Plodded around the pitch in Rome looking disinterested. I wish him well though, he’s a great goal scorer and at the end of the day a Leicester boy.

Played for Nigeria so gets longer off, same with the other internationals. Souttar came back early however.

Told that he wants to stay, his kids are moving school this summer to another in the local area to them and he doesn’t want to relocate. The issue is that the club are struggling to afford his wages and he may have to leave. He said he'd take a pay cut but as of yet they’ve not given him a new offer. Also off topic but I was told he didn’t get on with Kasper at all and he didn't with Madders either by the end.

I’ve watched him play Champions League and he’s look good enough there, he’s ready for a Premier League loan, I’ve seen Brighton linked and that makes more sense than us. However if we can pull this off ( I don’t think we will ) he’d be different class here.

Correct but I’ve seen it reported that it’s now a priority for us and id be shocked if we didn’t play with wingers.

So it looks like we’re going three at the back then after this. Interesting as we’re going for two wingers, so you’d infer we’re going to play a 343 meaning it’s going to be a double pivot of Winks and KDH. Hope he try’s to invert Ricardo into the middle in possession to help them out. Palace away Rodger’s did that, he got himself a goal in front of us and played so well. I pray we get two disgusting wingers in. Id be very happy with that side if so.

Why are so many people celebrating Stowell’s departure ? Been an ever present during our success and so many who have been and gone speak highly of him. You can’t put Wards lack of talent on him. Nor our inability to replace Kasper who was majestic under Stowell bar his final season. Doesn’t sit well with me personally, I can’t help feeling it’s a mistake, he’s part of the club. But if someone can explain why it’s a good decision I will listen.

Feel more sad than I thought seeing him go, going to miss him as he was a joy to watch. Loved his arrogance on the pitch, and in a world where footballers are bland and boring, he’s was interesting off it. Such a shame the way it ended but it’s very rare that these things end well for all. Going to hate the next time he rocks up at the KP and gets boo’d though.

Perfect for the system, can drop in, link the play, combine with our wingers, and score goals. Seems to have real composure, get it done.

We’ll get what 10/15 for him ? Id rather just risk it and potentially lose him for free in the summer. The amount we’d get for promotion justifies that. If we got promoted there is a chance we could get him to re-sign. If he stays there’s a high chance we go back up. He would be the best player in the Championship. I trust Enzo to have a word though, and if his head isn’t in it we’d have to sell him.

Bernardo Silva is a twig yet glides past players. Maddison turns out of positions he shouldn’t be able to due to how agile he is, being lean is key in maximising agility. Even Messi gets/ got bodied (Goretzka) sometimes it’s just part of the game

Ridiculous player, the flack from our fans really gets to me. Has given us so much, I won’t forget PSV away ever. Tried too hard if anything back end of this season. Noise regarding City sniffing about, Pep is a big admirer. I’m sure I saw something regarding them coming in for him this Jan ? I think one of pep’s staff wrote an article during the World Cup about how incredible he thinks he is. On his form earlier in the season he was the business. Hope he gets a bigger move than Spurs, him and Grealish at City would be something.
