People saying we need to take a stand if we love the club. But staying at home is the easy option. If we had anything about us we’d get something properly organised like when Wednesday came to us first game. Or at least get yourself down the ground to protest while the game is in play. Otherwise we’re in danger of just looking fickle, something that a lot of fans of other clubs are literally obsessed at calling us out for already

To be fair to Marti I think he had to start soumare and skipp today after their performances against blues, both possibly as good as we have seen from them. Also I think not starting winks while he obviously wanted a move away from the club was the right thing to do.

Under the circumstances I think Marti is doing a fantastic job. A squad littered with overpaid players, some of whom do not want to be here. The biggest disconnect between the club and the fans for years. And somehow he has managed to get committed performances from this group. Plus his in game management is the best we’ve seen for at least the last three managers.

I’m a definite give copper a chance and really think the hate for him is well over the top, but that second half was a difficult watch. Why we shrink back into our shell after more than matching teams could end up being what does us. Because the fight he has instilled into the players is obvious for anyone who is watching, barring the fans who had decided he needs the sack after two games in. A fight that has been largely lacking, in my opinion, under the tenure of our last few managers

Appreciate the reply to my post Rik. If I’m honest I’m not a massive stat man. I couldn’t tell you much about anything that goes on in leagues outside of England, managers or players, judging by your posts you have knowledge of what might be available and maybe there is better out there. I can only give an opinion on what I see from how we’re playing under cooper and I like it. We haven’t been amazing but we’ve been a lot better than I thought we would be. Similar to yourself I’m not totally obsessed with getting wins, last year I saw us win a lot of games, some of them very uninspiring due to our style of play. The loss against villa and the draw against palace I saw a team of players motivated and giving it a real go, surely the manager deserves some credit for this? To me that’s inspiring and I’m excited about what this season may now bring rather than initially thinking it would be a car crash. I, like you am in no way desperate to stay in the premier league. In fact I think I may despise what it has become. It’s ceased being a credible league that rewards sporting endeavour and is now a money making machine that may well be close to completely orchestrated. But that’s why I feel we’re a little bit like we were under O’Neil. We’re the fly in the ointment, here to f@@k up the party and I would just love to keep pissing them off

This is exactly what I was thinking as listening to the latest big strong Leicester boys pod. For years reading this forum Rik flair has in my opinion posted the most sense and has been very entertaining at the same time, but on this occasion seems to have lost the plot. I understand lots of fans didn’t want cooper in the first place and I believe their bias is clouding their judgment. Because asking for him to get sacked after 4 games, (the 3 I’ve watched we have been more than competitive in apart from the first half v spurs) seems totally irrational, as it transpired that night calling for O’Neil to go also was. I don’t understand what people want, do we think we should be competing for European football? This team and manager is the closest thing to watching O’Neils teams of the past. I’m exhilarated watching our games now. Rik pretty much admitted to that in the latest pod but still then repeated about getting rid ASAP. Don’t get it

Some of the reactions to this performance from people on here are simply embarrassing. That was, in the most part, a full blooded performance against a champions league side. Feel so much more positive about the season after watching that. If you don’t feel the same I feel sorry for you
