Yeah I wasn’t serious that it would happen again!

Officials are shit period. I would say it’s undeniable that Ipswich are a better ‘team’ than us. Let’s not confuse the better team with one with a couple more individual names on paper who should be better than they are. They are organised and know what they want to do. We lurch from one error to another so we deserve our position really. On paper we should be much better but we are so dysfunctional.

Yeah ok, we are where we are through bad luck and officials 👍
-
7/8 points adrift in March you say
-
Better to pick up results through taking advantage of your opponents errors than lose week in week out gifting goals away hand left, right and centre (well just right as that is where JJ is found)!

I don’t think there is really any PSR benefit to a sale based on what we purchased him for and what we’d likely sell for. We will gain much more benefit from him being out on loan and doing well so the question is really, Stoke or elsewhere for the rest of the season.
-
Now Stoke have got Robins in, I’d be inclined to leave him there as Robins is a much better manager. Will be interesting to see how he gets on under him although a 0-0 draw at home to Plymouth was not a great start. Then again Plymouth had removed Rooney so probably had a lift themselves. I really hope he can have a strong second half to the season and come back full of confidence to lead the line next season.

You joke but if it was clear what was being said, that would absolutely destroy Top. Not saying it is a reason not to do it but culturally he is about pride and family, to openly have it sung he has destroyed his deceased fathers legacy would be the worst (or best if you are trying to get at him) thing you could do.

Let’s be honest, Stolarcryk didn’t seem to be fit for Wolves so you’d expect Cooper and RVN to have gone Ward for the reasons you have said further up. Actually the only evidence for the Wolves game we have is that RVN did pick Ward. Cooper doing so is speculation (albeit educated speculation). After Wolves seemed to be the debate. With Stolarcryk back who’d been out all season, there is zero actual evidence to say Cooper wouldn’t then have made the change RVN did, forget Iverson completely. Your initial argument was Ward would still be in nets now. You can’t know that. It is speculation without foundation, based dare I say it on your feelings towards Cooper. Cooper is gone. We don’t need to try and further bash him on things that there is no evidence about.

I’m far from convinced by RVN. But it’s a tall ask for any manager to work under the shit show above them. I do think we are committed now for the season so just need to see how it pans out. The only person who jumps out who I would be keen on is Danny Rohl. He may get poached for bigger things or even bring Wednesday up. But he has done a great job there. He is used to working in a shit show under a Thai man child with a limited understanding of football. So that would equip him to work here under Top with the same characteristics. Also how he picked Wednesday up on about 5 points in November last year and guided them to safety would be no dissimilar to working under a points deduction in the sense of clawing back a deficit first. And of course working under limited finances. I think he’d be the best option for next season in the Championship but might already be at a point he wouldn’t touch us. Really now we are at a point we can only damage a manager reputation and not make it. Unless someone fancies a huge risk like RVN, we are probably just recruiting has beens. -
Hopefully if this becomes a pattern year on year, it will quickly damage the PL brand and enforce some change.

Wellens Orient side doing very well! Could come back as manager next season

Erm, we were pretty much in every game under Cooper. We came from 2-0 to win 3-2 at Southampton, got a late draw at Ipswich and fought back to get a draw against Spurs. We also fought back from 2-0 down to 2-2 at Arsenal even thought we lost it late. Forget that we benefitted from red cards or who some where against, we still showed fight. Tactically he was terrible. But to say we weren’t on games or that we didn’t show fight is definitely revising history or an agenda.

League 1 player who had a purple patch and has been out of his depth for a long time. Nice kid and all but he needs to drop a couple of levels to enjoy his football again.
-
Of course that was going to happen. Seems to be the case that prisoners who have committed atrocities against children are subject to rough justice when inside. Well if it saves a lifetime of tax payers money for his upkeep I suppose.

Same amount of goals as Cannon. Is he much better? Asking having not seen him play much but maybe he is a more rounded striker who would offer more than Cannon?
-
I think he left and the role was advertised a while back…might explain why it is being neglected again.
-
Splinters again this evening. Get the kid back ASAP. Do we have the loans manager in place currently?
-
It’s the first year his numbers have been as good so that’s why I wondered if anyone has seen more of him that would indicate whether he is showing his true form now given he is still quite young. Also a lot has been made of Wasserman who are his agents….
-
Given we have a habit of looking closer to home, what about Borja Sainz at Norwich? 23, 15 goals from left wing and contract ends on 2026 so into his last 18 months. I haven’t actually seen him play so might be crap but his numbers seem good. More to see if anyone else has watched much of him as I haven’t seen his name mentioned but might be because people on this thread get over excited about players in markets we should (but don’t) show an interest in.
-
He’s played a grand total of 20 minutes in two sub appearances (16 minutes and 4 minutes) since the end of October. He has been fit and been on the bench every week. So the chances he plays at all tonight are massively unlikely. It was an awful level of football anyway and an odd loan. The only redeeming factor to it would have been regular minutes week in week out and that has not happened so it’s pointless him staying there. He needs minutes so just find him a club that’ll give that even if it is further down the ladder than we’d like.
-
You say to bait them but that is all spot on apart from the league 1 bit as that may or may not have been the case but the rest is true.
-
And Braybrooke. Get him back too. Annoying that of the 3 that were going well (Nelson, Souttar and Cannon), 2 of them got bad injuries!
-
Clearly the club is a shit show but being pissed at the club and the PL aren’t mutually exclusive. Whatever you think of the rules, if they are for the reason they say (which is sustainability but clearly it’s more about limiting competition), then they should be applying penalties reluctantly. The fact is, they seem actively buzzing about penalising us as well as the likes of Everton and Forest before. The fact they are coming after certain clubs like a dog with its dick out shows that they are all about stifling competition so they can go to hell as much as the club can. I don’t buy the punishing it’s due to 2016 stuff. I do think they have taken the being challenging personally and are now trying to go out their way to try and get us. The tone of articles from them about ‘their disappointment’ says as much.
