  1. Daka at home to Swansea recently is the only one that comes to mind.
  2. We haven’t had that many have we? Certainly not compared to 10 years ago when we were promoted. And the only one we had this season that I can think shouldn’t have been was Daka against Swansea a few weeks back. Plus we have had a number of stone wallers not given.
  3. What to make of that…. I thought we would lose and actually predicted 3-1. But I thought it’d be due to Leeds being a very good side. They weren’t. They were bog standard to poor and they were at KP. You get the feeling they have saved their best showings for us as well so no doubt we are by far the best side in this league, in terms of ability and technically. But, as others have said, there is still a softness which Leeds and other have exploited. We absolutely dominate games for 90%+ of the time including last night but the sub 10% where we are a mess. We should have been 4-0 up with the wrongly disallowed goal and Mavididi and Daka’s misses and then enter the fluke goals later and that small percentage of the game costs us. The could have been out of sight is correct but how often are we going to say this? It seems every time we drop points we are talking about the same issues. Missing sitters and getting sucker punched at the other end. If these issues keep reoccurring, is it remiss to just keep shrugging them off? Momentum is key in football and with the momentum and kind fixtures Leeds have, I’d go as far as to say they should be winning the league and it’ll be a failure on their part if they don’t. We should still have plenty enough to keep clear of Southampton and Ipswich even if Leeds do catch us and it’ll be a catastrophic crash in form to allow either of them in. This also takes us to 6 defeats which equals the total for our 2013/14 season under Pearson, with 12 games to go. Whilst we are winning a huge amount of games over the season, I’d say we are also losing too many. We can also forget about the points record now as well.
  4. Wow. I’m not sure if we were genuinely interested last summer or if it was unsubstantiated rumours but if so, bullet dodged!
  5. I don’t know why but my take from this post is what day are you currently on?
  6. You know, for some people, Rodgers reign of tyranny will be defined by the FA cup win. For me nothing sums it up more than the 19th January 2022 when we managed to out-Spursy Spurs, against Spurs! As for this season, my comment was of course tongue in cheek. I do think 2% is a bit low purely based on the fact there are 4 very strong teams in this still but it’s clearly based on a lot of data whereas I’m probably worrying! Under Rodgers, I’d expect us to fail where we are only given a 2% chance to do so. There’s enough in this squad and manager to not do that but I do think it could get a bit tighter before it’s done!
  7. Presuming by Pigs you mean Sheff Utd? I live in Sheffield and my experience is Owls fans have a very over inflated opinion of themselves albeit sound people but Blades fans are far more down to earth and self deprecating. Never met a Barnsley fan, do they exist? Rotherham fans you just feel sorry for!
  8. Must be the last trauma but when I see these and Leicester 2% chance of finishing third, the words that come to mind are ‘hold my beer‘
  9. Sorry not buying this. You only have to see any thread across any platform relating to the Championship and they are full of Leeds fans making everything about Leeds. Your fans genuinely think you are levels above anyone else in this league and it’s killing most of you that you’ve been behind us all season. If you win, you can guarantee all we will see is how much better you are and you’re the best team in the league etc etc so of course it’s a bigger game for you because as well as the 3 points, you need that ego stroking. From our side of things, it’s nothing to do with who we are playing. Southampton, Leeds, Ipswich or even if it was Hull or someone else. We just want the 3 points to keep our gap and get closer to the end goal, it’s not about egos or trying to make everyone think we are a huge club. If anything, we have the tendency to put ourselves down and undersell our achievements.
  10. This is fair. The away game on Boxing Day, I think we did a good job and genuinely got undone by a really lucky double deflected goal after we should have had a clear pen on KDH. Yes they come into the game and pushed us back but we were away at the team in second place so you wouldn’t expect to dominate for 90+ minutes. They didn’t really trouble us at all. As you say, the home game in January, we were excellent first half and had a number of good chances and Ipswich looked completely out their depth. It was almost like we just had the stuffing knocked out of us and unconsciously accepted the second goal wasn’t going to happen and let them into the game. The goal itself was again lucky the way it fell but more ‘you make your own luck’ not jammy f***ers luck. I’m not sure why people can’t accept that. Bottling might be a strong word to use for it but we definitely wobbled in that game anyway.
  11. I don’t think he was entitled to one but think we may have paid for him to have one or had one made or something, to acknowledge his involvement.
  12. Yes I think you’re right 👍. Didn’t look it up, but remembered that goal!
  13. I want to say he scored twice (2-0)? Remember one of them being a belter from a way out. Definitely a statement win in the same circumstances as this game.
  14. This made me wonder about ourselves in 2015/16. Only 23 used in total over the season but this included Joe Dodoo (one appearance) and Kramaric (2). In fact there were 4 (Benalouane and Wasiliewski) who were under 5 appearances which is the requirements to have contributed enough for a medal. Given is so recent and in modern football, that’s very impressive too!
  15. Ours could look favourable from this point of view. Even West Brom third to last came, will they be routed in 5th place, unable to move higher or lower and be looking to avoid injuries/suspensions for the play offs? Likewise, Bristol City, Millwall, Plymouth and Blackburn likely to have nothing to play for. I also expect Preston to have fallen away from top 6 by the time we play.
  16. I not sure about this. There’s already a group of sides in mid table 10 points off the play off places and a bit more clear of the bottom 3 so you’d imagine that over the coming games, it will become clearly that say Rotherham and Sheffield Wednesday are down and more teams will find themselves too far off the play off race. If anything it looks like it could be that sort of season at the moment with the top 4 so far ahead and bottom 2 cut off.
  17. Well technically, in some away games, we don’t play in blue
  18. Seemed to have a good reputation as an assistant but it’s not translated to being the main man. Probably better to go back to what he’s good at…
  19. To be fair, I think this is down to the fact the fan base is so divided. More so, those who question anything to do with Enzo, are met with hostility and often aggression. Personally I don’t have an issue with the style etc so haven’t been subjected to this but I read it every day on here. As such, there does become an element of I told you so I agree but I don’t see it as them wanting us not to win. They may want us to win in a different way but it is more when we don’t win, throwing it back in the faces of those who have been hostile to them more so than actively wanting us to not win. Thats my observation and how I see it anyway!
  20. This is fair enough. I think I am perhaps guilty of the bracing for disappointment thing to soften the blow but that is also balanced with sheer experience of being an LCFC supporter! But keeping this with a balanced view, you can still see we are in a strong position as you say. As you say, a likely outcome is that we see the job through but that it becomes tighter and isn’t over as quickly as people thought due to the strong form of those behind us. Any other season would be a lot more comfortable!
  21. I think we probably have the same view on things but is a misunderstanding. I’m seriously overusing the word context but I’m looking more in terms of people wanting the best for the club. If you could guarantee one defeat could create a greater good situation that is the difference between relegation, I’d think nearly all fans would, grudgingly, take that deal! But yeah, it’s the notion of people wanting us to not win for the sole purpose of being able to moan that I find nonsensical. If they are out there and I’m being naive, then we would probably agree that those people need to get in the bin!
  22. Not intending to be insulting but it irks me when people are accused of not wanting us to win because they are not necessarily always happy with things or have a negative observation, hence why in my initial response to you I suggested numerous reasons why people react differently. I was replying in the context of this season. I do find the notion that people could not want us to win for the sole purpose of having a moan nonsensical. Maybe that does make me naive. You then brought up the situation with Rodgers which is fair enough albeit seems a bit like changing the goalposts but I responded to that point honestly but saying I hadn’t thought about that as it wasn’t the context in which I was replying to you. But I do think it’s a different scenario. For someone to not want us to win, in a season we are doing so well just to moan about stuff would be poor form and reflect more of them no? I agree with that. As I say, with the Rodgers situation, it was people hoping it’d force the change for the good of the team. I never said it myself as I didn’t have faith in Top to make the change. But honestly, if it was possible to guarantee stuff in the future, and you were told, let’s say before that Palace game, if we lose, Rodgers will go, a new manager will come in during the international break and we will definitely stay up. Or you can have a last minute equaliser, Rodgers will stay until it’s too late and we will go down. What would you have thought then?
  23. I remember people saying that with Rodgers but that’s a different case to you suggesting people wanting us to lose this season so they can just moan essentially. I also never actively wanted us to lose last season but the people saying that, if they even genuinely meant it, clearly that was a ‘for the greater good’ situation. I.e if a defeat could have guaranteed Rodgers departure it would have been worth it than allowing the decline over a longer period of time. So ok, when there’s a situation like a toxic manager in charge, I accept there will be people who may feel that way due to how they see the bigger picture. Regarding this season, I can’t see it and stand by that.
  24. This bolded bit is one if not the most nonsensical things I see on here. We are all Leicester fans and want us to win, fact. Some people are more cautious. Some people may convince themselves of the worst outcome to soften the blow of a disappointment and some people are negative by nature. But to suggest people want us to lose is just silly and that’s putting it politely!
  25. It’s not for the sake of it if it’s replacing players we have lost (due to injury or recall from loan) though is it? I’d agree if we hadn’t actively lost players in the same position. We didn’t necessarily need to do further strengthening on top of what we had but we are weaker than we went into the window.
