  1. What strikes me is, those of us who are fuming at the situation are called entitled. Yet those who say that are the types who just say we will be back etc etc. That to me is entitled. The assumption that it’s all fine and it’ll sort itself out. That is the attitude that is completely lazy, uneducated and entitled.
  2. I actually find it quite impressive that Bristol City and Hodgson have won as many games this weekend as we have in 2026
  3. I feel I somehow managed to be one of the biggest critics of this team/ownership and yet still manage to underestimate the levels of shit we will stoop to. Even when I think I am just being negative, somehow in hindsight that negative outlook was actually overly positive! October 2021, similar to you, didn’t voice on here (I was just a reader of the forum then and didn’t join and start contributing until after), I said to a Newcastle supporting mate we would be relegated inside 3 years and he laughed. I know it was then as their takeover had happened and it was before they appointed Howe. I was saying to him I hoped they took Rodgers off us as I could see he was falling apart. Anyway, I said 3 years and we managed it inside 18 months, the following season! In this thread, I said I thought we would be relegated in the coming years and we entering a 2004-2008 type circling the drain time again and yet we have outdone ourselves and managed it in one season (let’s be honest, barring a major major shock turnaround, we are gone). So when @Finnegan(I forgot to reply but did see the comment back to me yesterday sorry) says I was being melodramatic saying we will not play PL football again under this ownership, I really don’t think I am! As my what seem like negative or over dramatic predictions have ended up coming true even sooner
  4. Your favourite undivided Facebook page is like a ghost town today! Which tells me they have cottoned on but are just silent in shock
  5. No, but there are repercussions if you are incompetent at your job. You will get a bollocking or maybe performance plans, to the point you could lose your job. Yes it isn’t public like the players getting called out but they are earning money we can only dream of and facing no consequences for their complete failure to perform to basic levels.
  6. I think all signs point towards the 3 former Milan Mandaric sides going down together in the season he passed. Feels like one of those weird coincidences. The people you spoke to are correct. Unfortunately the fan base has been cultivated and back Aiyawatt unconditionally. As such, there hasn’t been any holding the owner and DoF to account like you’d see at pretty much any other club, including your beloved neighbours to the north in Norfolk. Just feels the club is exhausted and broken. Even a fluke survival in the coming weeks only delays the inevitable next time. Anyway, you might have your own things to celebrate come the 2nd May!
  7. To be fair, the performances against you have been about as good as it has got, home and away. I don’t buy this 5-1 yesterday. To be fair, I pretty quickly stopped watching after about 10 minutes and went to the park with my daughter. A much better use of a sunny bank holiday Monday. But having seen the chances, there’s nothing really there that you wouldn’t expect a decent goalie to save from Charles. The issue is the owner, players, manager and majority of the fans have all checked out mentally and just want the summer to come and forget this season. Nobody’s up for the fight any more. Feel free to pop back on here May 2nd. In the last few weeks, the arguments for thinking we will stay up have gone from expectation, with some favourable games ahead, to hope as these games pass us by without taking advantage and now we are purely at the denial stage being the only reason to think we can survive.
  8. Did she say best owners in the land when on yesterday or is that just something you are familiar with her regularly saying?
  9. Panicking unnecessarily. Have you watched us? We are an absolute stain on this league. If we were going to win another game this season it’d have been over this weekend, with Preston gifting us 2 goals and Wednesday being…well Wednesday. 5 games left and I reckon we’ll draw 4 and lose to Millwall. Oxford have Wednesday and home and Watford. Our resident Watford visitor @Super_hornshas already apologised in advance for the win Oxford will pick up against them given they are well and truly on the beach now. Edit - right on cue above my post as I was saying
  10. more chance the game against Millwall actually finishes 3-0 to them by virtue of a forfeit from our pathetic bunch being too scared to take to the pitch than us beating them! Oxford have got this comfortably. Look at their fixtures. It’ll be mathematically don’t by the penultimate game of the season.
  11. Exactly. They have some comfortable fixtures coming up. A few games ago it looked fairly even. But we have frittered away our last few without winning. Oxford have stayed level and will show us how it is done against Watford and Sheffield Wednesday…
  12. Last 2 for Portsmouth look perfectly fine. On the beach Stoke and Birmingham. And of course they will avoid defeat to us at Fratton Park. Edit - Portsmouth will still go down with us and Wednesday (the Mandaric trio). Look at Oxford’s fixtures left. Comfortable….
  13. I did think it might take longer than this season. Possibly also, at that point, I held back a bit. I never thought we’d be in the promotion/play off picture but thought we’d just above stay up. I was more concerned about next season. And if somehow we do manage to stay up from here, that will still be the case. We will go down next season regardless.
  14. Vestergaard will finally go I think. Nelson and Stolarcryk will go. Both represent pure profit and even though both are into the final year of their contracts, you might get between £3-£5 mill between them. Maybe Wilder will come back for Hamza?
  15. He won’t want to drop down a division.
  16. Jakub and Nelson need to go. Can scrape a few million together between them. Pure profit. And both have their card marked with the fan base.
  17. You’d hope Braybrooke, Aluko and Page could be starting 11. Evans and Hutchinson not so sure. Hopefully integrated in fairly quickly. Obviously they won’t all go but any of them could if that makes sense so any of them can go really.
  18. Well we won’t will we. But as I said, all but mathematically confirmed. Oxford look to have /78 points in them by my reckoning. We are getting nowhere near that. They will beat Watford and Wednesday at home, probably a draw at Derby and maybe a draw at home to Wrexham. They have favourable fixtures left. Us and Portsmouth are down. The results at Fratton Park when we visit is irrelevant really.
  19. Majority of those shots have been row z or catching practice for Iverson/Charles.
  20. I’m surprised anybody thought we’d win. That was the most obvious result before the game and it happened. Relegation all but mathematically confirmed. Embarrassing club top to bottom.
  21. Yeah definitely time to go for a walk in the sun to the park with the wife and daughter. And leave my phone at home so I can’t be tempted to look. What will happen will happen. Switch off and check the score after…
  22. He shouldn’t have a new contract. Too much water under the bridge and the player and club need to part way, regardless of if he scored 10 between now and the end of the season (he won’t anyway). But this gifted chances. Can anyone using this as a stick to beat him with from his performance on Friday actually tell me what difference it makes in the context of the striker? What extra skill set does it take for a striker to finish a chance laid on by a teammate than the opposition?
  23. I don’t want us to get relegated or go into administration by the way. I want us to do the best we can do. But in my mind, there is absolutely zero chance we ever see PL football again under this ownership. The ideal would be he gives us up from a position of relative stability in the Championship.
