He probably never actually expected to be that talked about but it’s a weird set of circumstances in Clacton where none of the parties are playing Farage’s game. To be honest, I do think MP’s should be local people. I thought it was odd how posh Southampton boy Sunak was MP for Richmond in North Yorkshire and Reform parachuting anyone in. I’m sure there’s loads of examples from Labour also and Greens etc. Obviously Farage is not exactly from the Clacton area either. Clearly it’s about people keen to see the downfall of Reform UK. It doesn’t need overthinking.

But the idea that if he won, takes the mask off and actually operates as an MP under his real name/identity and would probably have more of a club than Farage is sort of amusing and concerning in equal measure. He’s not some random guy. He knows politics. It’s not like he’s act as MP under his satirical character.

Binface genuinely has to be the best candidate there. I actually think he’d lose the mask and act seriously if successful. Whereas Farage has had a chance and hasn’t dropped the mask or behaved like a serious politician.

Like others have said, he just seems ice cool, unfazed. A tough challenge coming on Friday though.

It’d just never be a possibility with the other parties running. I guess it comes down to whether more people will go out and vote in protest against Farage/Reform than support them. If it was my area, I’d definitely be voting Binface!

Think people have got too used to the big sales when we were a relevant team. Regardless of whether Monga goes on to be an excellent player, spending his career winning accolades at Man City or a big sale elsewhere, we are a League 1 club due to the shambolic management. As such, whether it compares to the sales of the likes of Maguire, Fofana, Chilwell etc, it is good for where we now find ourselves. If anybody is both unhappy with the deal for Monga and not completely venomously against the ownership, maybe you need to rethink the latter….

Not that they will unless corruption carries them all the way, but if the US won the thing, it’ll have the biggest asterisk over it anyway and the rest of the world wouldn’t see them as Champions anyway so let them do what they want. Anything less than winning will make them a laughing stock anyway given they have FIFA in their pocket.

Of course the academy is worthwhile. Players making the first team or being sold, where a small fee like Cartwright or a bigger fee like Monga will pay the actual academy set up, I.e category 1. Not all sales will be Chilwell, Barnes or KDH level. The bigger question is the training ground facilities. You don’t need something that costs that much to run to run a strong category 1 academy. And of course having the right staff to maximise it. Those are the two factors that are a problem, not the having an academy which is serving it’s purpose.

No. He already performed well at Championship level with Sheffield Wednesday so despite their plight, he personally was very good. He will be looking for a full season (had a lengthy injury last season) in the Championship.

Absolutely. If we had been relegated purely by on the pitch matters but the club was in decent financial health, maybe we’d hold more cards in trying to squeeze a little more. But everyone and Vesty’s dog in football know that we are in a mess still and will need to make these sales. So they hold the cards.

I’d say we absolutely expect him to leave. Along with Monga and Fatawu, he is the most obvious sale.
