  1. Don’t mind if Skipp stays. Ricardo needs to go. He’s done and if it wasn’t for Luke Thomas on the other side, would get a lot more attention for how bad he’s been. Put Aluko there. And Page in midfield. I expect Fatawu and Nelson will move on also. Fatawu for the books and Nelson because it’ll be the last chance to make something off him before he goes for free the next summer.
  2. It doesn’t suit the KP narrative that the players had anything to do with the title win. It was all Aiyawatt and Vichai remember
  3. Not really. People are just separating the player from the deal. Even those who like the player and have commented on the positives (experience, captain and leader, proper defender etc) have balanced this with the concerns about fitness and of course, our clubs ability to negotiate a deal. I think there’s a lot of positives but I do worry that dumb and dumber will still be seen coming a mile off when it comes to wages. Perhaps just naive hope says that we will quite literally not be able to do that and that the deal might be more favourable. But given we don’t have details, it is all speculative.
  4. Loads of positives, leader and a proper defender. I don’t think he is a Coady type as Coady liked the sound of his own voice and was always about Conor Coady before anything else. Lascelles has always been low key. A better pro I think. Concerns are fitness. He is still at a good age. Has he had bad injuries or just been moved on from? And wages of course with our leadership…
  5. It was obviously this was going to happen. A couple of years ago, when the Foxes Trust and co had to battle for tickets to go on general sale and many of us said they will live to regret decisions like those made about pricing people out and blocking people from accessing tickets. The big hit will be next season. They will have still scooped up a lot of season tickets this season as people were expecting another Maresca year (again was obvious that wasn’t going to happen). Attendances will drop next season officially and I can’t imagine there will be people queuing up for match tickets either.
  6. If this is your view then, a word of advice. Consider how you word things. You make sweeping statements like ‘bring in a QPR manager, turn into QPR’ or ‘just what we need, Sheffield Wednesday players’. By that logic, you’d have never signed a certain striker from non-league Fleetwood Town. I have no issue not wanting to sign Cadamarteri or feeling that Cifuentes was not good enough based on what he had shown. It’s the sweeping statements that seem to write anybody treading a similar path off. I don’t disagree about Cadamarteri by the way. Given Wednesday have been in the mess they have, you’d especially expect players to have been poached if they were up to much, given they’d be available for a pittance.
  7. No, we are in this mess because we keep signing crap players, with poor attitudes and mentality, on stupid wages. I am not advocating for Cadamarteri but signing a 20 year old, for a small fee and low wages is not the same as what we have been doing. It does seem like you complain about the running of the club yet seem to want us just to sign players from big clubs who will come on top wages. The way to resolve this is to look at other markets, whether that is abroad or in the football league. Where you lose some credibility is making comments about how we can’t have a manager from QPR or a player from Sheffield Wednesday. Look at the individual not just have a snobbish attitude. Marti was crap because he was crap. That doesn’t mean every manager QPR have will be. Cadamarteri may not go any higher in his career or he might. But that doesn’t mean Sheffield Wednesday will never have a player worth picking up.
  8. Exactly why he won’t and shouldn’t come here then. No Championship side and as such their manager, is being judged on getting the the FA cup semi finals as a minimum! Obviously the playoffs should have been a minimum for us but such as the shambles we are, that ship has sailed and we are left scrapping to stay up. So yeah, I get the point I am quoting but given that is wholly unrealistic, there’s no reason for him to come back.
  9. Of this flurry of transfer rumours, this one makes the most sense. Obviously concerns around the lack of games he has played but we have to be realistic about who is available in January when we can’t spend. He would bring many qualities we are missing like leadership and being an actual defender, not the excuses for defenders we have recruited for a number of years.
  10. Those laughing at people questioning whether this would even be a good move (if it was realistic which is isn’t), do you understand that it is sometimes about whether a particular person is equipped or suited, rather than just because they have operated at a higher level? I said further up, he is clearly way out of our league. But that can be true and as well as it being the case that there would be managers less good on paper and further down the ladder that would be better equipped to operating with no funds available and better equipped for scrapping at the wrong end of the league which Maresca is not proven at. It’s one thing winning the league with the squad we had last time. It’s one thing winning the Conference League and Club cup with Chelsea. It takes an entirely different mentality and skills set, as well as approach to be successful in these circumstances.
  11. Oh come on 🎣
  12. I mean he’d probably do a bit better than Stolarcryk is. But again, is a lazy link. Someone we know rather than looked wider. And it’s another one where just because talent wise he might be better than what we have, doesn’t mean he is the right fit for a relegation battle. IMO, if we are bringing a new goalie in, they need to be vocal, a leader, command their area and be able to put in confident performances with minimal errors despite our hopeless defence. Hermansen doesn’t have those qualities.
  13. How so? If you won’t question the leadership and actively attack those who do, you are asking for anything that is to come… Happy for you to explain how I am wrong rather than doing what the FB mob do and chuck terms like nonsense out with no substance.
  14. Nobody over the age over 45 let alone having supported the club for 45 years (so at least a few years older) should be using ‘bruv’
  15. @Sky Blues, I would say it’s this. With Leicestershire, there’s a much broader scope as to who we see as rivals depending on where you were from. For example, I am originally from North-West Leicestershire. I knew a lot of Derby fans at high school and then later on, Forest. The only time to this day I have met a Coventry fan was on holiday as a kid as there was no issues around football or animosity. Coventry were not even on my radar until we were relegated in 2023 and played you on the opening day and your fans piped up. Having seen have rabid your fans are towards us, that now makes the prospect of you blowing promotion quite amusing (in a season we have nothing to find amusing to be fair).
  16. Not happening but it’s an odd one. Clearly massively above us in his standing as a manager. But, he is a manager for when things are going well. Even during the season with us, he struggled when things suddenly weren’t going well. I don’t think his style nor his mentality are equipped for a struggling side, let alone a relegation battle. One of those where a lesser manager ability/ceiling wise would be more equipped for a particular league/situation.
  17. Whether or not it’s your view, the point stands. I’m not disputing that the ground was full (lots of empty seats yesterday mind). My point was, for all those who disagree with supporting initiatives to hold the ownership accountable, they must be accepting of League 2, August 2027 like I said.
  18. Grow up. He’s not ready to manage us but he is standing it. He is not the problem here. Sort the sh*t out, get a manager in and let him go back to learning his trade as a coach under a competent manager. Anyone wanting to hound him out the club completely can’t have been around long.
  19. Massively uninspiring. Why can’t we actually have a network, that shows effort to find the right players and good value. It’s all so lazy and amateur…
  20. Who do we think will likely be here and in the side next season in League 1? Aluko Braybrooke Alves Page? Could get temped away Cartwright? Would he be ready? Monga will likely go. Same with Nelson. Surely most others will want to move on. There’s only so far that sitting around on their wages will suit them….
  21. I wouldn’t blame him if his head has moved on. Surrounded by a toxic environment, absolute shite around him and knows he’ll be out of here in the summer.
  22. If Skipp and James were fit, he’d still be out the squad. I’m not sure King really had another option here. And I’m very anti-Winks as I don’t like what his way of playing stands for or his attitude.
  23. Let’s be fair. If this signing was accompanied but a solid, experienced defender or two, with a great attitude (like when we signed Big Wes in this league in January) and a striker, this becomes a great loan signing. If this is it, and we are pinning our survival hopes on an 18 year old with little experience, it says everything we already know about dumb and dumber. So as a loan signing, it’s likely good in isolation but all depends on what else.
  24. Like I said, whether he can contribute given the circumstances and his experience is questionable. Certainly this type of loan is more suited to a club operating further up the league, not a relegation battle. But we aren’t going to bring anybody who is a regular starter for Man City!
