Sad that so many people are against a protest and therefore seemingly just ok to let this continue. As for this affecting the players. Look at Sheffield Wednesday. If the players actually put some effort in, and were at one with the fans, it would be easy for all involved to differentiate protests against the board and ownership from the players. If we had a decent bunch of players that would be the case.

Not sure on this take. I wouldn’t even say he is like a fan. He doesn’t care. He is absent. The optimism you talk about it propaganda to deflect attention. And egotistical arrogance as well. As for delegates management. It seems well understood that things don’t happen without his say so. So if he is signing off on things (between months of being absent), it doesn’t really suggest delegation. It just looks that way as he doesn’t have a club what he is even going to do himself as he can make a decision!

Realistic Managerial Replacements

Stoke are historically a similar level to us. He has plenty to achieve there, getting them back to the PL. But let’s say he’d be interested. What makes you think we are paying compensation for a manager such as Robins? -

Missed the boat. He is in a job and his stock is higher than us so not a realistic option. -
Realistic Managerial Replacements

I wouldn’t suggest him as a long term option. I think we actually need someone later in their career. If you bring someone in who has their eye on what’s next, they will have their own agenda. I feel we just need someone who just feels freedom and just self pride to do what is right by the club. I’m not sure if I am articulating this how I mean to. Or just Pearson. Some of these players need to be kept on their toes not knowing if they are getting headbutted or another type of physical assault -
Realistic Managerial Replacements

I shouldn’t have been passive aggressive so as much there so apologies for that. I do disagree with this point though. What we need, short and long term, is defensive stability, hard work and discipline. We are in the top 6 for goal scored I think. Whilst we watch us and know we create little, we are, most of the time, scoring enough to win games. We are then second worst I believe for goals conceded. Even short term this season, we’d benefit a lot more from someone who could improve these areas. Ange doesn’t bring this. He is emotional and chaotic. We don’t have the ability to score so many more that we can continue to be as shambolic defensively. I’d sooner have a Mowbray type to go back to basics as that’s what we need to do. Think back to the great escape season with Pearson. We didn’t conceded more than 2 goals in a game that many times for a struggling side. We were in games all the time. Even this season, in this league, the amount of times we are not even competitive in games is shocking. And that’s down to defensive structure, attitude and discipline. Give me a Morgan type, a Fuchs type. Start at the back and go back to basics. That is what this club needs. -
Anyone. I wasn’t sure. But yes, correct, Sheffield United, 1 season in the 4th tier, 1981/82 and won it. Good knowledge!

He’d be a disaster. I get you don’t think defence is important but we need someone who can instil discipline and organise the side. -
Probably yeah. Obviously I have no knowledge of other clubs specific points. Clubs like Forest and Leeds we will all remember struggling in L1 for a few years in recent memory for example. It’s not unfeasible that another club has gone down to a particularly level only once and come straight back as winners but like you say, it’s unlikely as it’s a specific set of circumstances. I wondered about Newcastle. Interestingly it looks like the last 3 times they have dropped into the second tier they have won it, but going back a bit further, they have spent significant time lower.

You and I wouldn’t understand it. It is a cult. Unless you can understand how cults operate and how some people’s brains are able to resist whilst others get sucked it, it’ll be hard to work out.

It’s pretty odd in some ways that our historically worst ever league placing in the pyramid is a first placed finish….that’s probably not the case for most clubs. Despite being technically our worst season in terms of league placing, it was a great, enjoyable season, with a manager and squad we could all get behind and relate to. This current situation is more lithe build up to it but given the financial position, I would say this is the worst yet. Relegation to L1 this time is going to destroy us. When we go down, whether it is this season or next, we will set a new lowest position as we will not be going down and winning it at a canter again.

I can’t ever want us to lose. I confess that I was a bit irritated Fatawu pulled one back as we have seen this before. Pull a goal back (or twice in that Sheff Utd game) and make it look like a close game. Papering over the cracks. As in, if you thought it would hurry up change, I’d rather lose 2-0 or 3-0 than 2-1. A loss is a loss ultimately. Do you not yet think there is a problem that is bigger than the manager though? I think we are all on the same page about Marti now. Nobody can surely think he is doing a decent job. What are your honest views on the ownership situation now and the way the club is being run?
-
The point was, you could get someone on the way up who has those traits who you could get from QPR. Marti is shit because of himself, not where he came from. And the mention of winning trophies just makes it sound like you expect us to win the PL/FA cup on a regular basis which plays into the hands of those who push the narrative that though of us who are anti KP (which you and I are on the same page about) are entitled and expect these trophies on a regular basis. I agree the other points, managing egos, managing pressure etc are important qualities. Some of our best managers like Pearson and O’Neil were up and coming though and didn’t really have much in management at that point. But those traits were in their characters and from their playing careers. My point being, if someone has the right character traits, it doesn’t really matter which club they come from. Marti clearly doesn’t have the right traits to manage at this level.

Ah yeah when we sacked Enzo and got millions from Chelsea in the process

ITS OFFICIAL we are in a relegation battle
LCFCJohn replied to Joe90's topic in Leicester City Forum
Inevitable. We are one of the 3 worst teams in this league. We are in a falsely high position in table based on most metrics. -
Most of our fan base is as bad Pathetic fan base (bar a few and mostly on this forum) to go with a pathetic owner and club in general now.
-
Clear evidence James is the only one keeping us afloat.
-
Aiyawatt will be chuffed with that last 10 minutes I’m sure. When did he leave actually?
-
That Fatawu goal and a couple of shots in the last 5 minutes will be enough to keep his job….
-
If these people had the slightly bit of self respect, and standards to hold the club accountable rather than attack other supporters who are challenging things, maybe the fan base wouldn’t be so divided.

F*** off Abdul. Last thing we need is bits of paper over the cracks.
