  1. The more this goes on, I worry the greater the prospect that RVN stays. There's no harm in announcing they are looking for someone else - either they pay up what he is owed if they terminate early or they play out the contract, but there's been some suggestion that they two are linked - they're not. It's very frustrating and just drives the disconnect between the fans and the Board.
  2. Blue tinted folk? Smurfs walk among us?
  3. I can only assume Ruud has transferred in Bournemouth players to his Fantasy Football League team and is up for some prizes in a few cash leagues.....
  4. There's a neatness about 500 appearances, but is he really happy to end on 199 goals? Not go for the chance of 200 and 501 appearances?
  5. never doubted you, son.
  6. Good grief! We've got a goal and the GOAT is one away!
  7. Tipping Lego on the floor and skipping around on it in bare feet. Still less painful.
  8. If keeping Ruud is a cunning plan (too cunning for me, even as a weasel) to hack off and make a load of senior deadwood move, it would be the one reason I'd be for it, but only if he rammed the point home by playing the youngsters and anyone on the bench - hell, play the actual bench - to ram the point home. Bench would only be marginally slower than some and a better blocker off the line than many too.
  9. All not helped by seeing just how well Tielemans is playing for Villa today. Must go and do something useful rather than mourn what might have been.....
  10. It’s going to be awful. Normally it would still be a relegation battle, or even if it’s all over, it gets the atmosphere of a testimonial and farewell to the Premier league. But the toxicity added by Southampton trying to avoid Derby’s unwanted record, and the desperation generated by us trying to avoid extending the no goals scored at home record to something that’s never likely to be beaten and will hang around our necks forever is something else. It would actually be a relief is there’s a big bust up five minutes into the game and enough get sent off to cause the match to be abandoned. Then let the kids play on pitch with jumpers for goalposts.
  11. Kone's a good shout - can't see Wycombe getting up through the play off and if not, they'll struggle to keep him. Got to be worth a try.
  12. That many? Did the penalty count as one?
  13. Usually, a few players in a relegated team can expect an approach from a Premier league club. I can't see any coming in for ours (and that includes Vardy). Wouldn't blame Monga for moving to Man City at all - he won't get first team football, but he's bound to learn more than staying with us. So if we can't shift on the bulk of our squad, I'm really worried that mid-table mediocracy awaits. I know some optimists have commented on the lack of quality in a lot of the Championship teams, and think we could still get play off places, but we are heroic levels of uselessness right now.
  14. Playing behind our defence and midfield will do that to a man.
  15. Really interested to see what he means by "you will see me again, I promise".
  16. Presumably they're saving the home shirt to pay homage to the 94-95 shirt......
  17. Guardian have an article "Relegated players who will be targets for Premier League clubs this summer". Lists Fatawu, El Khannouss, Ndidi and Hermansen, as expected. Would really love to know the club's intentions. I can see we may have to sell, but if we sell on those four, I can't see us getting promotion next year. I know a number of fans have said that the overall standard in the Championship isn't high, and we should fairly easily make the play-offs, but I don't have a good feeling about next year. I was confident we would come back up in 23/4, but this feels very different. I'd love to be wrong, but.....
  18. This! Boards/reports are full of Forest fans swearing blind Cooper would have kept us up. And that we deserve to go down because of how we mistreated the poor sensitive plant. They've short memories. The only difference is that they replaced Cooper with a decent manager and we didn't.
  19. Sadly, I don't think there is. At absolute best, he would be a luxury that we would have to nurse through the season minutes-wise. And on those wages it is a luxury we cannot afford.
  20. San Marino scored in March......
  21. Because it's a gambling sponsor, he's too young.
  22. Soon, my pretties
  23. I do have Murphy in my Fantasy Football league team (but so do millions of others). That's about the only bright-ish spot.
