Yeah whatever happens he’s a decent bloke and genuinely wants to do well for the club I feel. Ultimately we all want results but I don’t get the impression that he will ever disrespect the club or openly court for other jobs like some previous managers have so brazenly done. I really want him to do well here, it’s a shame some fans won’t even him a chance.

If cooper has had all pre season to watch alves and still wants to go elsewhere, there’s a reason for that. I get the clamour for him to be more involved but he might just not be ready yet.

The Ayew one on the face of it would seem fairly easy to get done so would be surprised if it’s fallen through. The Nelson one I don’t think was ever close by the sounds of it. There’s likely loads of names they are looking at we don’t know about but it’s frustrating it’s taking so long
