Have to say, and I know you are one of the more positive posters here and a regular at the games, but Lehmann isn’t the answer. Neither is a 38 year old Rachel Williams. The defence really does need Thibaud restoring to it to have any chance, and they have failed to get any creativity into the team which translates to 8 goals scored the worst in the league by far. I thought Mace would be a big miss, but the major loss was Momiki and now Janice. Those goals have gone out of the team and aren’t being replaced. You will of course get an hour out of Williams, but she needs legs around her, she drops very deep and that’s again not what we need with Shannon, Liv and Mouchon sat on the bench. Lehmann and Cain ran around a lot but with no end product. Van Egmond, I’ve just no idea with her, offers less than Hlin in a forward position. Missy is just finished here, same as Nelly it seems, Passmoor has done nothing with this team.

If I’m honest, I think if we were doing well and the club was on the up, the interest in Vardy wouldn’t be so great. It’s the fact that we are stuck in reverse that people will want to cling onto the good times and Vardy of course is at the forefront of those times.

I have gone from not being able to buy general sale for 95% of premier league games (despite a booking history dating back to Filbert St days) to emails begging me to come to Oxford and Charlton. One things for sure, we aren’t going to need a ground expansion anytime soon. Even back in the 80s when crowds were down to 8/9000 I was never convinced there was anymore than 6000 inside Filbert Street.

I’ll just use Jordan James as an example, if every player fought the way he does and has pride in wearing the shirt, then the crowd would get behind them. As it stands, for many of us, it’s the most disliked squad of players ever. Giving Ayew the No 9 just tops it.

I have struggled to watch us for some time now, even when I do, I find myself drifting off, picking up my phone or just missing chunks of the game. I think Football in general is quite dull, no mavericks anymore, but this current Leicester side is the worst I have seen (fan since 1981) in terms of quality, effort and pride. The owner has overseen the biggest decline in my time as a fan yet still refuses to axe the man responsible for most of it.

He can’t be short of a few quid, so fair play to him for taking it on when he could have walked away. Horrendous start with Okoli’s red, and not his fault that the two ‘strikers’ we have would have missed the spot kick.
