Absolutely. JV looked really up for it first half and could tell gave a sh1t second when others heads went down. McAteer, there is a player there, he's young and just needs to build confidence. Tried some things second half and created a few threatening balls/moments, albeit game was gone

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
dillonpanthers87 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I don't understand some of the comments on FT re Ruud today; limited squad, which is already of low quality (not of his doing obviously), we were outplayed the first half, but this is Newcastle away with something to prove in terms of the club progress/manager/squad criticism they've had, in front of their fans. I actually thought the first 15/20 mins or so we looked pretty dangerous and competed well, clearly an 'away' setup, then with Hamza and Skipp, we lost the midfield once they got figured out. Concede one - ok, see what happens second half at that point. I didn't feel too negative about it then, we knew today would be tough Then Mads needs to come off and it changes everything. Ward shouldn't be anywhere near the team and if anything there must be some leaves that need sweeping or Christmas decs that need putting up at Seagrave (actually, don't want to drop any baubles, they'll shatter to fk). Our defence suddenly turned to soggy tissue paper (I thought VK looked good first half, aggressive), and we all know what happened from there. RVN tried to change things - but the game was gone. I'm sure RVN will have learnt from what he saw today - his post match was balanced but he made a few references to our problems, and I'm hoping next game, by then he's maybe brought in a few more of his own coaches, and made some decisions to take us from the transitory stage of Steve Cooper LCFC to (ugh just that phrase) to RVN LCFC 0.1. -
I think he's looked decent at times today. feel like there is a player in there, albeit not a starter, but he just needs some confidence. But I agree, he's not at the level, far from it.

ruud out of his depth? -
Hard to position this game as having anything positive, but a silver lining might be that this opens his eyes to the real problems we have and the lack of character in some of the team.

Nothing we didn't know but: Justin: He's been done for a long while, but get him out asap. Train with U21s and offload in Jan. Ward: Why is he anywhere near the bench. Tell him he isn't wanted around the training ground or squad and he needs to find a club. The goals today aren't his fault, but the collapse of the defence as soon as he comes on and the lack of org. is telling. Skipp: Needs to be told in no uncertain terms he needs to show more in all areas or offload him asap. Looks like a bang average championship midfielder. Coady: Seems to be equally focused on his 5 live and media career. Drop, Okoli back in.

Tomi Petrescu (20 finishing on CM 02/03 03/04) -
Just glad to be being linked with any players lately. At least seems (by the sound of it) to be home grown talent, albeit don't know anything about this lad. Could step in in some of the cup games and give Vards a break?

World Mental Health Day flyer - Union FS

I really think that this is a big enough oversight to warrant an explanation from the club and for hopefully local media, charities to apply some pressure. Maybe wishful thinking, but this just angers me more the longer I think about it. -

This is abysmal from the club. Again, another clueless decision. This could have been an opportunity to get a really valuable message across 30k people, whereby maybe just one or two people in the crowd consider calling one of those numbers, or seeking some kind of help. Or maybe had a friend who had been quiet that this reminded them to check in on. Instead our joke of a club says 'no', yet will decide to have gambling adverts all over the place. Fck Top (yes I know he won't have made the decision) and the leadership. Union FS well done - incredible work, please keep it up -

I'm sure this George chap is just a troll...but.... "Do you not think he has relatives that come on here?"

Supporters, who have a valid expectation of the club having a connection and understanding with the fanbase.

the bowl? who the fk writes this?

If peoples opinion is incorrect (I don't think it is, just look at the decisions made and the facts of the situation); he could have come out and given an interview or engaged with some of the fans. He didn't - so we have to judge on the facts, which spell failure and incompetence year after year.
-
Look at the trajectory of the club and decisions made since Vichai passed. Respectfully, he doesn't seem either cut out and/or that bothered about this. I want him and the ownership gone. Forget manager chat, Rudkin, it starts, well, at the top.

Steve Cooper: The Tactics Thread
dillonpanthers87 replied to SecretPro's topic in Leicester City Forum
I don't think we can judge; so few signings, that interview today, while he's not doing a Brendan or even an Enzo re transfer comments, there's a real sense of "this is not ideal but I'm trying to work with it". I like his transparency and what he's come out with in pre-season comments wise; I know it's on the pitch is where it matters, but we haven't given him much. -
Steve Cooper: The Tactics Thread

It is pragmatic, but he's also being quiet explicit about the need for signings to be competitive, sounds like he's putting down a marker, which is the right thing to do. "We're trusting each other to get the right ones in" is interesting. -
