  1. Buonanotte was excellent for me, Kristiansen deserves some credit too. On another night we could have had all 3. Overall, alot more positive following that than I expected to be. Very well organized, effort levels and commitment were excellent and with a couple of additions hopefully we can give it a right good fight.
  2. I don’t think ever seen a group of people as obsessed with a player as some of the folk on here when it comes to Szmodics, it’s very strange.
  3. Twenty Million Pounds Sterling… 🫣 Wow, gobsmacked.
  4. I fear you are correct, pal. As ludicrous as that is on many fronts.
  5. Tell you what ain’t nice pal..? Watching a team you “supposedly support” being run into the ground by sheer incompetence. Getting your hopes up of some young or exciting incomings to even give the impression we’re going to make a scrap of staying at the top table, only for those hopes to be dashed over and over again. Meanwhile, clubs like Ipswich are embarrassing us with their recruitment while we flounder about with Bobby De Cordova Reid as our marquee signing and a new 10 year deal for Jannik. We’re a laughing stock. All while Rudkin and his “yes man” in Cooper are sipping Pimms and having a go on a bouncy castle, and the players are having their pictures drawn at Seagrave? That’s what’s “not nice”, I fear we’re at the stage now where anything but complete embarrassment will not facilitate the change required. Although, that said, you could argue relegation should have done that initially and didn’t, so who knows what will at this point? If winning the league was heaven, surely we’re in hell..? 🦊
  6. That’s not nice mate! Don’t blame me, I don’t sign (or not sign) the players!! 😘
  7. Gotta laugh at this point ain’t ya? Hope we lose all 38 games.
  8. Every day you hope for some progress on at least one front. SURELY we have to have something in the pipeline?! Instead we just somehow manage to get progressively worse and the club make everyone on here give less and less of a f**k what happens to us this season. I'll give it 3 games before it gets real toxic.
  9. Strange, because it's usually goals and assists that'll keep a side afloat..
  10. Tell ya summit for nowt, if this is what we're doing they can ****in' bollocks.
  11. Targetting a left back makes me wonder what the actual plan is there, currently. Cover for Thomas as he's not considered good enough? I am still convinced there is a really good player in Kristiansen. Assuming Zaha is almost done, I'd be much more inclined to target another CM in the 6/8 role, a more attacking midfielder and a striker than a left back.
  12. I can’t do 38 games of this, I just can’t.
  13. For the model we operate, pretty much every transfer does, or at least should at this point. I’m not sure if you’ve missed it, but there’s a fairly large elephant in the room at the moment with our club called PSR..? You know, looming points deductions etc.. We aren’t able to spend £15m on players with potentially far larger upsides than Szmodics, yet you think it’d be a good move to chuck it at someone who will probably walk out the building for free in 4 years? That’s before we’ve paid him a penny in wages. £25,000 a week would add another £5m to that fee (it’d probably be double that coming into the Prem). Financially it makes zero sense to us. I’m not saying he’s useless, he’s obviously in a purple patch and will take advantage of that. Fair play to him, I just hope we don’t spend that money here. And please, don’t ever, ever compare Jamie Vardy to Sammie Szmodics again.. 🐐
  14. This would also be my concern, or one of anyway. Say he does come here in those circumstances, what's his attitude going to look like? I've never had Zaha down as one who will roll his sleeves up and fight for a cause that could be deemed already lost. Maybe for Palace, but not for us. Very, very talented. Attitude questionable. Age/Stage of career + Motivation to come here I'd also file under questionable. Could work very well, could also be an unmitigated disaster.
  15. Fifteen Million Quid.. PARDON?! Why are we still talking about a 28 year old who has had 1 good season and never kicked a ball in the Prem?! I'd just like to remind people that we are the club that is NOTORIOUS for paying over the odds fees and wages for players that turn to utter s**t and then can't get rid of them. WHO ON EARTH is allowing us to recoup any of this 15mil for Sammie Szmodics when he scores 2 goals in the Premier League, we're relegated and can't afford the 60k we agreed to pay him over 4 years? Shocking target. PLEASE close thread.
  16. Haha some more spice needed, Sir! Have a good weekend bud, make the most of the last couple of free hits before we start getting slapped every week...
  17. Over a 19 year old already deemed good enough to warrant a place in the Argentina squad..? The spice in Leicester must be some strong shiz these days, crikey..
  18. Yeah, opening day bloodbath. Spurs -2 is the bet.
  19. The only "if" is should he not cut it in the Prem, which is probably why I included the bit about . "we take him down to the Champ with us and he is one of the best players in the league" - which we clearly know from his time at Hull, he has the capabilty to be. And that's highly likely to be where we start the 25/26 season. There's risk in any transfer, it's the nature of the beast. However, I think we'd all be more comfortable having Carvalho for what could possibly be a season in the Prem (and if we manage to stay up, the likelihood is that he's been a success and could go again for a profit), and taking him down for another shot at getting back up at the first time of asking. In either situation, I don't think 25m is a massive outlay and I'd be comfortable if we pay that for him. Let's be fair, at the minute, what's the alternative..
  20. Think he will show there's a good player we've neglected, there. Hope he does well.
  21. I think we need bodies, mate. Bodies and a miracle. So if anyone's selling one of them, GERRIMIN.
  22. If he comes here and has a cracking season in a struggling side though, we will get 25m back for him absolutely no problem should we need to offload. Flip side of that is, if we do end up Yo-Yo'ing, we take him down to the Champ with us and he is one of the best players in the league. 25mil sounds steep, but in reality for an attacking player it's probably not when you think about it. If we are serious on this one and had around the ballpark fee for Soule we should just stop tyre kicking and get him in. He's clearly a very talented kid and the Prem will be his level. Take him for a season and see where we are at the end of it. I can't see his value dropping off a cliff unless we really, really stink the Prem out.
  23. Loan with an option, fine. Obligation, not so much. I don't mind him as a player, think he could do well here but the absolute last thing we need is to have our pants pulled down by Chelsea on him.
  24. Reckon Derby's record low points haul is at risk..?
