  1. Too soon..? Too late, you mean. We are cooked.
  2. Devastating. Hopefully the club gives him the send off and the memorial he so richly deserves. Rest In Peace, Shakey.
  3. That and he isn't a fat little pudding. I'm not bitter, I promise...
  4. 100% completely agree, not only for the fact that we appear to be hellbent on signing utter dogsh*t, but we've lost arguably our best, most influential player from last season and just decided "F**k it, we don't need to replace him", whilst watching other clubs around us strengthen. The signing that cost us a portion of our transfer budget, we decided to spend on one position where we are arguably covered adequately, and it doesn't seem like he (Okoli) has improved us. Been going on for a while and we all know it, we're asleep at the wheel. Promoted, uninspiring managerial replacement, utterly hideous window, relegation. And some on here will try and soften the blow of that reality with "We're signing players who will be ideal for the Championship next season" .. Mind boggling.
  5. For me, we’re at a stage in the window and preparation for the new season now where it’s time to just pay the f*****g money for him. We are absolutely threadbare in the middle of the part, certainly creatively anyway, and quite where the goals are going to come from is concerning to say the least. We need him and 1 more IMO if we’re even going to be competitive.
  6. Tbf, at least in a footballing sense anyway, you could draw similarities here? 😂
  7. From the excitement of a talent and prospect like Soule, to this.. 🤢
  8. Hopefully if he does alright for us we don't overlook the fee, let him go elsewhere and be absolutely mustard while we get f*****g relegated, eh...?
  9. Haha alot of this forum will get exactly what they thought we should have been doing last season with a "Plan B" when we start shelling it to Big Wout on 75mins every single week. If he signs I can still guarantee we don't score one header from a corner or wide free kick all b*****d season even with him in the mix.
  10. The Dutch Okazaki is brilliant. Isn't prolific or technically easy on the eye but he's going to graft and offer you something (might even be a Plan B that so many on here bemoaned we didn't have last season..?) If it's a loan deal I don't see an issue, I'd be very reluctant to pay a fee + hefty wages though.
  11. I'm a touch north in Santa Rosa pal, there aren't many of us around these parts from what I know though!
  12. Read Percy's piece, went to bed feeling half confident. Wake up to this.. It's fairly obvious that if Roma match what we are offering financially, he goes there. Real shame, but if there's truth in that article we're better of pursuing other targets unfortunately. I doubt we're linked with/sign a name as exciting as Soule had me this summer though.
  13. I'll wait to see the fee before coming to a verdict on this, that said, they're recruiting fairly well the Tractor Boys!
  14. Bardghji out for an extended period with a cruciate ligament injury. He will have to prove he's the same player when he returns to command the same, what looked like being, sizeable fee. A massive shame as he looked absolutely mustard.
  15. I completely agree mate, that said, I also think that the 3 managers in charge of Villa, Wolves and Everton don't go anywhere near a Kelechi type player. Hard work, pressing and effort are the absolute bare minimum in the systems they play. I don't think any of them have watched Iheanacho in a Leicester shirt and thought they're getting that if they bring him in. I can't imagine him flourishing in a Sean Dyche team, his head would pop off watching him saunter about for 15 minutes offering absolutely zero, only for the ball to finally make it's way to him for his first touch to be like a trampoline sticking them instantly right back under the cosh!
  16. Puts it into perspective how hard it will be to shift some of the utter, utter s**t we've signed when Kelechi Iheanacho is a free agent and I can't find a single rumour around where he's going to end up bar some weak as piss link to Villa. Clubs aren't even taking our shite on a free, never mind paying us for the privelige.
  17. Surely we can't..... Can we..?!
  18. In reference to the games against them, certainly on our behalf anyway, I think we will see very different affairs in the Prem. That might be a good thing, but what I will say in credit to Enzo is that we never looked uncomfortable against them and should have been out of sight before shooting ourselves in the foot twice. Obviously, we will have a considerably different identity this year, and they may exploit that more easily. The games will be a good yardstick for both clubs IMO, though.
  19. O’Riley / Kyogo are probably 2 of the only ones you’d argue would fetch more than that currently. That said, Lewis Ferguson IMO is the shining example that there are players in Scotland that can go on and be top players given the chance. His injury is extremely unfortunate as he was showing all the signs of going to the very top. O’Riley could easily be on the same trajectory.
  20. Surely they’ll be nowhere near with that figure? And if they are, we should be bidding just to drive the price up!! 😩
  21. Great move. Can't be many better places to play your football at the moment outside the Prem (obviously) and the upper reaches of the Champ with all that's going on at Wrexham? Young kid, you'd imagine decent money, massive exposure as a player and in all likelihood a heavily strengthened squad. I hope he goes there and really impresses.
  22. I hate to frame it like this, but hopefully there's a development pathway for Golding and Braybrooke (a talented young CM we already have) in the eventuality of being a midfield 2 for a return to the Championship is something we've considered. I can't see him featuring in the Prem, but he's clearly talented and hopefully someone we can develop and possibly make profit on in the future if he realises his potential.
  23. I think the Fofana mentioned in the context of this deal is Datro, not Wesley There are several I'd take if players + cash was to be the structure, Fofana (Datro) would have been one, Omari Hutchinson would be the absolute top priority for me though, however it seems as if they may get cash from Ipswich for him anyway. Bashir Humphreys, Carney Chukuwuemaka and Casadei (there's 100% a player in there) would be a few others.
  24. He's every bit as good as Gallagher for me, certainly technically.
