Worse than airport security at this point, do they really think a bunch of pensioners and happy clappers are going to do anything at the King Power? Its so embarassing when away fans come here and take videos of our stadium so the whole world can see a million stewards standing around being useless because everyones sitting on their chairs quietly anyway, LOL.

Let this thread serve as a salt mine and a number count of opponents squealing that their team are giving us too much respect and treating us like Real Madrid. All the teams we've been playing recently have been using the exact same phrase, you couldn't write it! Preston Stoke City This lad said Barca, but you get the gist

If he wins us promotion and then some, he will be our own Cristiano Ronaldo

Very poor first half, can't get past his man, lets too many passes to him go out of play, not anticipating aerial balls... Maybe because he's on the wrong wing? Shouldn't play LW...

This line-up means Enzo thinks we are going to batter them, I like it.

I will only purchase this range if Maresca starts to wear it as his managerial outfit instead of that training ground backroom staff tracksuit he wears.

Never been to the UK before, where to buy ticket?
Drink Water replied to ashton_c's topic in Ticket News and Travel
Unfortunately, the club doesn't want anymore matchgoing fans than it already has. Very weird right? You need to purchase a yearly Membership subscription for roughly $50 (I assume you're American). Then you will be granted access to pay for the ticket itself. Think of it like if Netflix made you pay your monthly subscription and also pay for each TV Show/Movie you want to watch. -
Who do you want for next season in the PL

Danish? Thats an automatic yes from Leicester. -
Unpopular opinion, but self-harming policies like this are why we will never become a "big" club. For example, I genuinely think policymakers at LCFC are fearing the stadium expansion because it would mean supply increases (seats) further to come closer to the high demand (our fans), thus there will be less of a monopoly for ST holders and members on seats. The former and latter both being dominated by certain demographics that contribute to the lack of atmosphere, while the stadium expansion will give rise to a more energised rejuvenated audience who don't have a long billing history or any for that matter, with the club. Whats ironic is, King Power will lose much more revenue in the long run with the current state of its ticketing and infrastructure. Top Khun and his family are great and intelligent people, but the Srivaddhanaprabha family have delegated too many aspects of the club to senior employees who don't really seem all that competent.

Who do you want for next season in the PL
Drink Water replied to Fightforever's topic in Transfer Talk
That was an anomaly, an enormous achievement that is the greatest story in footballing history. Thus, that squad can't be used as a metric for a team to be succesful in the Premier League season of 2024. Neither should it be an excuse for settling for second division player signings in a transfer window. Enzo signed a total of 0 permanent players from the Championship and that is for our Championship squad this year. All of Maresca's permanent signings: 3 Prem players (Coady, Winks, Cannon) 1 Ligue 1 player (Mavididi) 1 Superliga goalkeeper (Hermansen) And thats just a temporary squad for the Championship! So now it would be ridiculous to stoop down a level from Mavididi or Winks next summer when the priority will be to build a squad that can actually be taken seriously in the Premier League. -
Who do you want for next season in the PL
Drink Water replied to Fightforever's topic in Transfer Talk
I don't doubt that, but why would you want Leicester to take a risk with a player who is unproven at the top level? This is a crucial moment for the club to get back to where we were, that won't happen by signing second division players. We don't want to be another club that is content with fighting to stay up, do we? -

No signings of Championship players please (look at the humiliation of luton, sheff, burnley), unless its Jobe Bellingham because of his possible future resale value after a couple seasons in the Prem. We can't take risks and be cheap with signings, Khun Top and Maresca both know this. The club will require neat and tidy players that can play the Enzo ball at the highest level. -

Champions League Thread 2023/2024
Drink Water replied to SecretPro's topic in General Football and Sport
Ditto. Watching Newcastle in the Champions League can only sadden a Leicester fan on a deeper level. Nothing to do with them, but to do with us... -
As soon as Maresca was rumoured, I backed him for the job 100%. You don't just go and win one of the hardest trebles in history as an Assistant Manager and not be able to replicate your former boss' managerial prowess in some way or another in the Championship. The man has ambitions that surpass the sky, he could have stayed at Man City and sat comfy... but he took the higher risk/higher reward option of becoming a manager himself of a relegated Premier League club, consequently stepping out of the shadows of Pep Guardiola. Every player on our squad is a cog in the machine and Maresca is the engineer, his end-goal is to have the machine well oiled and operating at its optimum level. Which takes time and effort from all parties involved. But once everyone is fully on board Leicester City's new philosophy, the club climbs back up the ranks again. Enzo Maresca is with Leicester for the long-term, a man of great commitment and integrity. He understands the history; the meaning; the journey and most importantly the project that entails. Fast forward a few years, the once long ago fairytale of 2016 may repeat itself again under the leadership of yet another Italian on Filbert Way.

Cold rainy night, Leicester can do it

Fair enough, sometimes you can't tell though nowadays. Too many in the footballing community haven't been giving Man City their dues.

Man City play the way they do due to Pep, people love to make fun of the money but when you actually think about it, Man City develops these players into the valuable assets they are today. They don't just go and buy the young new sensation aside from last season with Haaland. Look at Stones, Akanji, Foden, Ake for example. All these players have immensley improved their performance and value under Pep Guardiola and his mindset of development. Other big 6 clubs have spent much more than Man City yet they haven't had an ounce of the recent success that Man City has.
