Didn't expect it to go down well but IF we were to get 15 point sanction for arguments sake, they'd have buried us before we've even started. Futile even trying, has to be a way to protest against PSR, its nonsense!

Genuine question here: Say we get an unprecedented sanction of 12-15 points (something almost certain to be insurmountable considering our squad, a new manager, and player sales before we've even started), what's stopping us taking a stand against the league and essentially throwing every game, score OGs, don't attempt to try etc. It would never happen but I believe it'd diminish the product of the Premier League and as a form of protest, could assist us in an appeal or a reduction in the sanction? Granted we'd obviously not be getting points anyway if we were throwing the games but we'd be down anyway in my opinion.

Put it this way...you might as well ask me who we're getting in!

Not sure how anyone can't be deflated here. Whilst I agree it's almost a blessing in terms of a different style being suited to the PL over Enzoball, the players LOVED him clearly, they've had something drilled into them for 46 games (plus preseason), certain players OOC might not want to re-sign now, others might want to leave that are actually in contract, and we've got a big points deduction looming. Feels futile this season already. The appointment NEEDS to be the right one and also done promptly so the manager can actually prepare, its going to be even harder then I expected it to be before to stay up.

Their owners are Italian, probably trying to get close to them for some reason too.

Not understanding this sudden contentment to be rid of Enzo who the players clearly adore btw. Not always about what the fans may or may not want when you consider the relationships that have been built across a season which could be the difference between staying up or going down with someone completely new. Personally Di Zerbi is out of a job and Chelsea love sniffing around Brighton for their managers and players and won't costs 10m in compo to get him out of there.

What price is being banded about for Cannon? Had him for a season and saw him play a tiny handful of games. Never sell for less than we bought, feels like he wasn't even given a chance. Poor decision unless you can breakeven. Loan at worst, keep at best.

Expectation unfortunately with a points deduction is relegation but the hope cant' be anything more than survival realistically. Would snap your hand off for 17th right now!

Objectively looking at PL numbers, no that isn't amazing but he was consistent that season playing a deeper role giving Maddison the reins for goals and assists. Got a couple in europe for us too considering he'd not been integrated at all before that point, dropped straight in. Fast-forward two years on and he's much more polished. Think he'll show his quality again, albeit probably not with us.

How the hell is my comment defending KDH in his first PL season spiralled into a Henderson vs KDH debate that I'm trying to catch up on now....they aren't even similar moulds. Not to mention people saying he wasn't good in the Premier League are unfortunately factually incorrect. His maiden PL season was clearly very good . People have been hit with the Men In Black pen bless em'.
